Chapter 62: Snake!

At S City Airport, Ye Feng followed Long Tian with his boarding pass in hand.
“Are you sure you want to go back to H City instead of flying straight to New York?” Long Tian looked puzzled. “If you’re worried about me, there’s no need—your detector already shows that I’m fine.”
“I just have a feeling that something might happen…” Ye Feng’s expression was serious; he didn’t seem to be joking at all.
“Hey, don’t make this so mysterious. You’re not some fortune-teller on the street!” Long Tian shrugged helplessly.
“I know this feeling seems unfounded, but I won’t feel at ease unless I go back. I don’t know why…” Ye Feng shook his head. “Whatever, let’s go back to H City first. I left my laptop with Xu Qiang—let’s pick it up along the way.”
“Okay, so it’s for the laptop. A laptop isn’t that expensive. Isn’t it better to buy a new one when we get to New York?” Long Tian suddenly turned to look at Ye Feng. “Surely you didn’t put anything inappropriate in it, that’s why you’re in such a hurry to get back, right?”
“There are plenty of those things with Yi Fan. I definitely don’t need to keep them as a souvenir. In fact, this laptop was bought recently. I’ve only used it once to log into the Hunters’ official website.” Ye Feng shook his head with a wry smile; he knew what Long Tian was referring to.
“In other words, that computer is connected to the Hunters’ exclusive network, but without accounts or passwords, they can’t see anything. You don’t need to worry.” Long Tian knew a bit about the Hunters too—access to their websites required using the exclusive network.
“I’m not worried about that. I just have a reason to get this laptop back.” Ye Feng shook his head again.
Once on the plane, the two of them sat next to each other. Next to them were two young girls who kept glancing over.
“They’re so handsome…” one of the girls said with a smile.
“I agree!” the other girl nodded smilingly.
Unaware of anything, even though they kept their voices low, Long Tian and Ye Feng could still hear clearly what they were talking about.
“Hey, are kids these days maturing early?” Ye Feng looked at Long Tian helplessly.
“I think… they’re pretty nice-looking…” Long Tian winked at Ye Feng.
“…” Ye Feng turned his head away, pretending not to hear what Long Tian was saying.

The plane had been in the air for about half an hour. Long Tian leisurely flipped through a magazine, while Ye Feng stared out the window, lost in thought. Suddenly, a shrill woman’s scream came from near the restroom. Long Tian and Ye Feng exchanged a glance and immediately turned toward the source of the sound. “There’s a snake!!!” This time it was a man’s panicked voice. The woman who had rushed out of the restroom earlier looked back at it in terror, while the man immediately jumped up from his seat, watching from afar as a spotted snake emerged from the restroom door. At that moment, everyone in the back row—men, women, old and young—quickly stood up, staring in fear at the snake, too scared to do anything. As everyone’s attention was focused on the back seats, Ye Feng and Long Tian heard rustling noises coming from the overhead luggage racks above them. “Everyone, leave your seats immediately and crouch at the front of the plane!” Ye Feng suddenly shouted at everyone in the cabin. But few paid him any attention. Long Tian frowned slightly. Just as he was about to speak, he saw Ye Feng pull out a shotgun and fire a shot at the restroom door. “Those who don’t want to die, get up now! Go to the front, cover your heads, and crouch down!” The gunshot immediately caught everyone’s attention. Seeing the silver pistol in Ye Feng’s hand, they obediently left their seats and headed toward the front of the plane. “What should we do now? Those things are crawling toward the front.” Long Tian, though strong, couldn’t act. “I need a shield to enclose them. You watch them!” Ye Feng handed the gun to Long Tian. “Whatever you want, hijacking isn’t the best solution. Tell me what you need—these passengers are innocent!” At that moment, the flight attendant stood up, covering her head. “Don’t move anyone. Wait until we figure out a solution!” Long Tian didn’t want to explain further. Ye Feng had deliberately made it seem like a hijacking just to get those people to obey. “Damn, thousands spent again!” As Ye Feng spoke, Long Tian turned to see him holding a silver-white metal rope. “Will tying them up help?” Long Tian didn’t understand what Ye Feng was up to. “Just watch.” Ye Feng wasn’t bothered to explain. He used the metal rope to form an oval circle. “Everyone, stand inside it!”

The people in the cabin reluctantly stepped into the oval metal ring that Ye Feng had placed on the floor. Ye Feng pressed a button on the remote control in his hand, and a transparent film-like layer gradually rose from the metal ring. In just a few seconds, a transparent ellipsoidal shield formed, protecting everyone inside. “What do you want to do?” Someone inside the shield began to bang anxiously against it. “You’ll only be safe if you stay inside,” Ye Feng said. He then lifted the overhead luggage racks on both sides, and several venomous snakes rushed out, but Ye Feng crushed their necks, killing them instantly. Seeing the dead snakes on the floor, the flight attendant immediately understood what had happened. “Everyone, stay calm. These two are here to help. This shield is to prevent snakes from getting in,” the flight attendant said, stopping those who were banging on the shield. At that moment, Ye Feng lifted two more luggage racks, killing several more snakes. Long Tian followed Ye Feng’s example, opening the luggage racks on both sides to deal with the snake problem. In less than half an hour, the floor was covered with dead snakes. The people in the cabin, looking at the two men who seemed like warriors, learned to stay silent. “They’re both so handsome and skilled,” said the girl who had made that judgment when they boarded the plane, staring at the brave men in admiration. “I noticed them as soon as they got on the plane,” another girl said proudly. “They’re indeed very handsome…” The flight attendant also came over, drooling. Both girls nodded in agreement. “Xiao Feng, stay here. I’ll go check the other cabins,” Long Tian called out to Ye Feng after most of the snakes were dealt with. “Call me if anything happens!” Ye Feng, covered in blood, nodded and then said to the people inside the shield, “I’m sorry, but we can’t let you out yet. These snakes are venomous. If one bites any of you, it could be life-threatening.” Soon, Long Tian returned. “There are no snakes in the other cabins. They’re targeting people in this cabin!” “I see. It should be safe now!” Ye Feng closed the lids of the luggage racks one by one, then removed the shield. “Everyone can return to their seats.” “Can someone help clean up this mess?” Ye Feng asked, looking at the dead snakes on the floor. “I’m going to change my clothes!”

“I’ll do it; it’s already this way!” Long Tian laughed, looking at his blood-stained clothes, while the flight attendant was explaining something to the security personnel on the plane by the door.
“Don’t you need to change your clothes?” the girl from earlier said to Long Tian with a smile.
Long Tian, who was bent over cleaning, raised his head and winked at her. “I wonder if I invited you two beautiful ladies to change clothes together, would you agree?”
