Chapter 132: Capturing Alive
“You dare!!!” A fierce shout exploded beside Yuwen Zhuo’s ear, shaking his head until it spun. It was the authentic roar of a Buddhist lion. This caused Yuwen Zhuo’s claw, aimed at Long Tian’s throat, to slow down slightly, as the owner of that voice firmly grasped his wrist.
“Wudao?!” Yuwen Zhuo couldn’t help but cry out in shock when he saw that person’s face.
“Yuwen Zhuo, we really didn’t expect that you, one of the oldest cultivators in the country, would do such a thing,” another voice sounded leisurely from behind Yuwen Zhuo.
“Kongxu?!” The person had appeared behind him unnoticed, so Yuwen Zhuo immediately turned around.
“When Ye Feng told us it was all your plan, the two of us really doubted it,” Wudao said as he crouched down, helped Long Tian up, and then took out a small jade bottle from his wide sleeves. He pulled out the stopper and aimed the bottle at Long Tian’s nose. A thread-like wisp of white smoke entered Long Tian’s nostrils, after which Wudao plugged the stopper back in.
After a while, violent coughing came from Long Tian’s mouth. He then opened his eyes and saw Wudao and the others. After a pause, his gaze settled on Yuwen Zhuo. “Was it you who attacked me just now?”
“I never expected I’d fall for your trap!” Caught on the spot this time, Yuwen Zhuo had nothing left to deny. After all, his actions of colluding with the masked man in black to attack Long Tian and try to kill him had been witnessed by both Kongxu and Wudao. “Ye Feng’s injuries were fake, right?”
“Correct answer. But no reward!” He slowly stood up, staring coldly at Yuwen Zhuo.
“That idiot Pei Hong can’t even tell if Ye Feng’s injuries are real or fake!” Yuwen Zhuo couldn’t help but curse.
“Pei Hong was already convinced by Xiao Feng. By now, Nikola should also be captured alive. There’s no point in resisting. Three against one—there’s no chance for you!” Long Tian’s expression was indifferent. He knew it was this guy who had killed Hu Die.
……
Nikola stared at the hands that had pierced through his abdomen, filled with shock and fear. Slowly, he turned his head to look at the owner of those blood-stained hands. “Ye Feng?!”
“It’s been a long time, Nikola!” Ye Feng pulled his hands back and smiled at Nikola.
“This injury isn’t fatal to you, right? But it must hurt a bit…” Ye Feng still wore a smile as he watched Nikola’s abdominal wound heal at a visible speed.
“You…” Nikola glanced at Ye Feng, then at the sheet in his hands that had been torn by Ye Feng. He roughly understood what had happened.
“Alright, I pretended to be injured! Now do you understand?” Ye Feng’s smile seemed somewhat sinister to Nikola.
At that moment, Pei Hong, who had jumped out of the window following Nikola, also arrived.
“Pei Hong, we must capture Ye Feng as soon as possible and head back!” Nikola shouted at Pei Hong.
Unexpectedly, Pei Hong stood beside Ye Feng, removed his mask, and stared at him coldly.
“Pei Hong is one of us!” Ye Feng looked at Pei Hong beside him and smiled at Nikola.
“Nikola, I never expected you to sink to such a level!” A familiar voice came from behind Nikola. He turned his head and saw the man who annoyed him greatly—Dracula.
“Dracula, did you come to add insult to injury?” Nikola stared intently at his arch-rival.
“You shouldn’t have killed Edward and Angel!” Dracula shook his head and sighed slowly. “You thought that by destroying the surveillance equipment in the hall and courtyard, I wouldn’t be able to find you. But you didn’t realize that on the roof of my castle’s main building, there’s 360-degree surveillance equipment that can easily detect everything happening within a radius of one kilometer.”
“It was that girl, Yilin, who just retrieved the surveillance footage. She found a man in a black robe with a mask entering my castle and leaving a few minutes later. But the surveillance in the hall and courtyard had been tampered with, so the man in the black robe couldn’t be seen. Clearly, he did something shady in my castle, right?” Dracula said calmly.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Nikola tilted his head to the side, looking somewhat helpless.
“Then can you explain why your gear is exactly the same as that of the person who killed Edward?” Dracula pressed on. “Even if it wasn’t you, it must have been your accomplice!”
“It was Yuwen Zhuo who ordered those two viscounts to kill them in the British castle!” Pei Hong revealed the truth.
“You disappoint me even more, Nikola!” Hearing Pei Hong’s words, Dracula frowned slightly. “We vampires are a noble race; no one has the right to order us to do this or that! Your foolish behavior of being manipulated by others shames the entire vampire race! You don’t deserve to be a vampire!”
Unexpectedly, Nikola didn’t argue. Instead, his will collapsed, and he stared blankly at the ground.
Seeing Nikola in such a state, Dracula spat on the ground. Then he unfolded his two black bat wings, flapped them forcefully a few times, and floated into the air. “Nikola, never let me see you again, you coward! If you show up in front of me once more, I will erase you completely in the name of the Progenitor Cain.”
With that, Dracula flapped his wings and disappeared from Ye Feng and Pei Hong’s sight.
Nikola, with a broken will, hung his head low, allowing Pei Hong to seize his pulse and restrict his powers. Without saying a word, he followed Ye Feng and Pei Hong back into the apartment building where Ye Feng lived.
“Ye Feng, kill me!” In the elevator, Nikola made such a strange request.
“It’s not up to me to decide what to do with you; it’s Wu Dao and the others who will decide!” Ye Feng turned his head and gave Nikola a cold glance.
“I know what the final outcome will be!” Nikola shook his head. “One option is to have my powers revoked, and the other is death.”
“I choose death, but I demand that it be you—Ye Feng—who carries out the execution!” Nikola looked at Ye Feng calmly and said these utterly bizarre words.
