Chapter 249: Ghost Pirate Ship

With this idea in mind, Donald immediately set about taking action. He decided to create a closed demi-plane within the Land of Truth, isolated from the outside world, relying on this well-structured divine realm as its foundation. This way, it wouldn’t be discovered by powerful external forces who might come to compete with him, causing unnecessary trouble. After all, even demigods were highly eager for demi-planes—after all, they could serve as the foundation for their own divine realms! Obtaining a demi-plane with stable spatial rules and great potential for development could greatly save time, divine energy, and materials needed to create a divine realm. Once a complete divine hierarchy was established, they could quickly ascend to rule their realm among the stars and become true gods.

Additionally, the issue of entering and exiting the demi-plane was important. If it were located in the void outside the main world, a stable portal array would have to be created, which was extremely costly. There was also the issue of energy sources needed to expand the demi-plane’s space. Relying solely on the demi-plane absorbing free energy from the void would take countless years. If Donald provided the energy, even if it drained him completely, the expansion would be limited.

Thus, Donald planned to create an energy source for this demi-plane. After reviewing the items listed in the Book of Truth, he quickly found one that seemed suitable. Ten thousand years ago in the history of magic, Azeroth consisted of only one vast continent surrounded by endless oceans—this continent was called Kalimdor. Many different races and creatures lived there, struggling against harsh natural conditions. At the heart of this dark continent lay a lake filled with mysterious energy. This lake—later known as the Well of Eternity—was the source of magic and natural energy in the entire world. While drawing energy from the endless darkness beyond, the Well of Eternity continuously released its energy throughout the world, providing nourishment for all kinds of creatures.

Based on the Book of Truth’s speculation, Donald believed that the Well of Eternity was actually the energy core of a dimension, similar to the molten core of Earth. If powerful enough, such a core could be artificially created. The elemental pools in mage towers, or magic pools, functioned like miniature Wells of Eternity, capable of continuously drawing elemental energy from other dimensions. Naturally, magic pools also appeared in places with high concentrations of certain elements, such as the Withered Lands, where negative energy accumulated.

The Eternity Flask is a magical bottle filled with water from the Well of Eternity, created by Illidan Stormrage during the War of the Ancients in World of Warcraft. Thousands of years ago, Quel’Thalas was considered a hub of magic, with a source of power known as the Well of the Sun providing endless energy for the High Elves, who used its natural forces to achieve immortal life and strength. The Well of the Sun Forest, located deep within Quel’Thalas, was created by Illidan Stormrage using water from the Well of Eternity.

The Eternity Flask obtained through the Truth Book is a sub-legendary-grade magical container capable of holding the energy of an entire large elemental pool. It can serve as a temporary energy storage device for large magical structures like mage towers or as the power core for alchemical puppets above legendary level, sufficient to supply a small demi-plane.

The Well of the Sun and the Well of Eternity are respectively of lower and middle legendary grade; after creating a demi-plane, the remaining divine power was not enough to exchange for anything else. “Even if trying to exchange for an Eternity Flask, the remaining divine power is far from enough!” Donald immediately thought of the damaged sub-legendary item he obtained last time at the Arcane Remains of the Dual-Booted Dragon Swamp. It was an item with spatial properties that could store a certain amount of energy, but it was of little use to Donald, who already had storage space granted by the Truth Book. Moreover, repairing it required considerable energy, so it had been left untouched. Now that he needed to exchange for a sub-legendary item with similar functions, he decided to use it as material to reduce the need for divine power.

For someone else, a sub-legendary item would be treasured and carefully preserved, but Donald didn’t care much and chose to sacrifice it. Soon, a golden metal flask appeared in Donald’s hands. At this point, the Eternity Flask was still empty, with no energy stored inside. Since the damaged sub-legendary item was used as the base material, exchanging for the Eternity Flask cost less than two hundred drops of divine power. Donald immediately used the remaining eight hundred drops to create a demi-plane. Controlling the Truth Book, he poured half of the remaining divine power into the Planar Cube. After half an hour, as the divine power flowed into the countless holes in the cube, a phantom-like mass, as if composed of countless overlapping voids, appeared on the other end.

Under Donald’s will, this mass of matter quickly rose into the air and stabilized above the Land of Truth. If anyone could look from afar, they would see that the Land of Truth and the demi-plane resembled a small bubble connected to a larger one. Yet compared to the vast Land of Truth, the area of this demi-plane was less than one billionth of it.

The appearance of the demi-plane was like an additional star in the Land of Truth; standing on the ground, Donald could see that bright light spot by looking up.

With a thought, the Book of Truth projected his soul into the demi-plane in the sky.

It was a dim world, with a foggy sky over gray land covering an area of about one square kilometer. Since Donald wanted the spatial rules of this demi-plane to be as stable as possible, he had to expend a great deal of divine power to create such a small space.

However, his divine power reserves were now extremely low, and he needed to save some for his next action. Fortunately, it would be possible to expand the demi-plane’s space gradually once he obtained new sources of divine power in the future.

In the long run, he planned to build a mage tower to fully control this demi-plane and prepare for his divine kingdom plan.

After finishing matters related to the demi-plane, two days had passed.

Seeing that Carlisle was still working hard inside to merge the fragments of his divine essence, Donald greeted the people in the stone chamber and calmly teleported to near the next target, Anchor Island. He sent a few owls to observe the situation there.

Before long, Donald frowned slightly.

The owls sent to monitor Anchor Island discovered something strange—a peculiar ship had appeared near the island’s small port, where few foreign ships came. It was considered peculiar because it was a large sea vessel nearly fifty meters long and twenty meters wide.

It resembled both a merchant ship and a warship, with a very imposing appearance. Strangely, not a single figure could be seen on board, and the atmosphere was gloomy, as if it were a dead ship.

A flag adorned with skeletons and ghostly flames hung on it, easily evoking the image of pirates. On Earth, this would undoubtedly be a sign of a pirate ship. It was unclear whether the Continent of Totems had such a tradition, but it certainly didn’t look like an ordinary human merchant ship or naval vessel.

For this purpose, Donald flew to a place about ten miles away from the strange ship to use his divine vision for observation, only to make a surprising discovery. Though very reserved, Donald still sensed faint energy fluctuations inside the ship, with attributes leaning toward dark negative energy.
“It’s actually a ship with magical power…” Donald couldn’t help but think of the ghost ships he had seen in movies from his past life—appearing and disappearing without a trace, roaming freely at sea—and then he thought of his own alchemy airship.
“If I transform this ship into one powered by alchemy, wouldn’t it be invincible at sea?”
At this thought, Donald became excited. His alchemy airship, barely ten meters in size, couldn’t compare at all to this massive sea ship!
So Donald once again captured a local fisherman from Anchor Island to gather more information. From the fisherman, he learned that the large ship had been here for three days, said to be a guest invited by the God of Anchor. However, the islanders had never seen this guest or anyone else on the ship. The arrival of this ship undoubtedly brought unpredictable variables to their plan to hunt down the God of Anchor, but if handled well, it might even lead to another advantage!
Donald immediately sent the owls back to keep monitoring, set up additional surveillance around Anchor Island, and then teleported back to his hidden island. He recounted what he had discovered to everyone except Carlisle.
Then Donald said, “I plan to deal with the owner of this ship, seize this magical ship, and modify it as our base. What are your thoughts?”
The female sword saint didn’t have much to say, while Vincent, being more experienced, thought more deeply.
“What’s the strength of the ship’s owner? Could there be any accidents during the process? If they can interact with the God of Anchor, their strength must be at least on par, possibly even at the peak of the Golden Realm or even the Legendary Realm!”
Donald analyzed, “I know that too. But if we don’t deal with this threat, it could cause problems when we confront the God of Anchor. If our identity and intentions are exposed, and the nearby indigenous tribes find out, it will be impossible for us to hunt the totem god so easily anymore!”
The female sword saint interjected, “So we must eliminate this unknown entity?”
“Exactly!”

Donald nodded solemnly and then added, “And with a magic ship as a base, don’t you think it would be much more convenient to operate at sea? With such advantages, we can also launch surprise attacks on the totem gods of those small tribes along the coast. Even if we’re discovered, we won’t have to fear being pursued by those powerful gods on the continent. The sea is the domain of those mighty sea lords; I reckon even demi-god-level deities wouldn’t dare leave their territories to chase us in the perilous seas!”
