Chapter 15: Trouble Coming Knocking at the Door
“Range detection activated. A: Precisely detect the comprehensive combat values of all creatures within one square kilometer. B: Detect the comprehensive combat levels of all creatures within five square kilometers.” As Ye Feng activated range detection, a dialog box appeared before him.
Upon seeing these two options, Ye Feng quickly understood that to obtain accurate combat values, he had to choose A. As for option B, the combat levels would likely not show precise figures. Without hesitation, he selected A, and the flat view in front of him instantly transformed into a 3D-like map.
On the map, centered around Ye Feng, dots spread out in all directions. He saw numerous tiny white dots. Among them, three dots the size of broad beans caught his attention. Two of these were clustered together, and the surrounding dots were also slightly larger than those of ordinary people. The third dot alone was much larger than the other two.
Ye Feng clicked on the largest dot, and a 3D image appeared immediately.
“Uncle Tie?” Ye Feng naturally recognized this burly man who usually served as Long Ge’s bodyguard. Seeing Uncle Tie leaning against a big tree, smoking while watching something in the distance, a warm feeling surged through Ye Feng’s heart. “He must have been sent by Long Ge to protect me!”
“Combat value: 242.” Ye Feng was somewhat surprised as he looked at Uncle Tie, who usually seemed honest and simple. He clicked on the details option.
Strength: 49
Speed: 49
Mental Power: 49
Unknown Energy: 95
“Are these values the same as those in the Virtual Realm?” Ye Feng was skeptical. He selected the combat victory rate comparison at the top of the page.
Another page appeared immediately:
Host
Strength: 40.8
Speed: 40.5
Mental Power: 41.2
Victory Rate: 13%, Death Rate: 61%, Escape Success Rate: 26%
“Uh, it seems these numbers match…” Ye Feng was surprised by the comparison results. “Uncle Tie is really strong. If he were an enemy, I’d likely die. I guess I can’t joke around with him casually from now on. I need to get along well with him, hehe…”
“The other two guys and their followers must be targeting me…” Ye Feng turned his attention to the other dots. He selected the two largest dots.
Comprehensive Combat Value: 138
Strength: 38
Speed: 32
Mental Power: 35
Unknown Energy: 33
Win rate: 61%, death rate: 9%
……
Total combat value: 157
Strength: 48
Speed: 37
Mental strength: 29
Unknown energy: 43
Win rate: 43%, death rate: 11%
“What exactly is this unknown energy?” Ye Feng was puzzled. “The first person, with that unknown energy, has a higher total combat value than me. Why do I still have a higher win rate?”
Not getting an answer, Ye Feng turned his attention to those few individuals with broader coverage areas.
Their total combat values were all around fifty, with only one person reaching seventy.
Without exception, aside from strength, speed, and mental strength, those individuals had another attribute—weapon.
Three of them had weapon values around thirty-five, while the person with a combat value of seventy had a weapon value of fifty and a mental strength twice that of ordinary people, at ten.
“The weapon value must refer to the combat index associated with the weapon, right? Why is his so much higher?” With this doubt, Ye Feng pointed at that person.
That person was crawling in the grass, holding a sniper rifle and aiming at something. He was about ten meters away from the others.
“Boss, that kid has been away from the dormitory for almost twenty minutes,” Ye Feng said. Seeing the person’s lips moving, he activated the eavesdropping function and heard those words. “And he hasn’t left the dormitory building either.”
“Then start executing Plan B. Rush in and kill everyone in their dormitory. Do it neatly. I don’t want to see any bloody scenes. I’m leaving!” A bald man, seemingly the leader of the group—the one with a total combat value of 138—said, “Bull, you stay back and keep things under control. If anyone from Long Tian tries to stop us, just kill them too.”
That man named Bull was the one with the highest total combat value in the group. He was nearly two meters tall, with bulging muscles and a murderous look. “Boss, don’t worry. With me here, no one will dare to mess around.”
“Oh no!” Ye Feng realized something bad when he saw those people installing silencers on their pistols.
“Xu Qiang.” Ye Feng dialed Xu Qiang, the dormitory leader.
“Lao Qi, weren’t you in the bathroom? Why are you calling me?” A lazy voice came through the phone.
“Listen to me. Leave the dormitory right now,” Ye Feng said seriously.
“What’s wrong? Did something happen?”
“Long Ge has some enemies who are targeting me. I just went to the bathroom and accidentally saw them bringing guns. You all need to leave the dormitory right now and scatter to other dorms. I’ve already asked Long Ge’s people to come; they’ll handle this. Although you’re not involved in this, those guys are ruthless and might attack you.” Ye Feng didn’t reveal the truth; this was the best explanation he could come up with at the moment.
“Are you sure you’re not messing with us?” The voice on the other end of the phone sounded skeptical.
“They’ll be here in two minutes. They know our dorm number. There’s no time for jokes!” Ye Feng almost shouted his last sentence.
“Where are you?” Xu Qiang hesitated for a moment.
“I’m safe. Just take care of yourselves! Hurry up!” Ye Feng urged.
“Got it!” came the reply before the call was hung up.
“Those damned guys.” Ye Feng clenched his fists tightly, his body trembling slightly. “Leaving even one survivor could bring endless trouble…”
