Chapter 70: Come in and sit down!
“Li Tianyu, you have only two choices,” Zheng Ze stepped beside Ye Feng and grabbed the net containing the Grand Elder. “One: be killed by us, a painless death. Two: be captured by that man and suffer various tortures before dying.”
“Do you think you can escape?” Pearl spoke up as well. “Do you think Original Sin will spare you after your entire army was wiped out? If we let you go, you’ll only die a worse death!”
“Let me go, and I’ll give you the key to that door…” Grand Elder Li Tianyu looked at Zheng Ze with almost pleading eyes. “I just want to survive…”
“What key?” Ye Feng frowned slightly.
“The secret room of Lin Xin…” Zheng Ze hesitated for a moment, though he knew full well that Lin Xin was dead.
“Zheng Ze, I know you hate me, but it was I who arranged your meeting with Lin Xin. And your daughter is living well now… As long as you let me go, I promise I’ll never appear before you again…” Li Tianyu tried to continue, but was interrupted by Zheng Ze.
“You’ve only brought me pain…” Zheng Ze shook his head gently, then turned to Ye Feng. “Let him go…”
“Are you sure?” Ye Feng couldn’t believe his ears. He turned to Pearl. “What do you think?”
Pearl glanced at her father before nodding softly.
“Alright.” Ye Feng pressed the release button on his pistol. Li Tianyu was freed from the net. He threw a key aside and escaped through the window.
Long Tian was about to chase after him when Zheng Ze stopped him.
“Let him go. He thinks he can escape Original Sin’s pursuit, but he’s choosing to be captured by that man and suffer various tortures.” Concern flashed in Zheng Ze’s eyes…
…
“Where are you going, my Grand Elder of the Chinese region?” Not far after escaping, a magnetic, gentle voice rang in Li Tianyu’s ears.
Hearing this voice, his body stiffened, his breathing became rapid, and large drops of sweat trickled down from his forehead and fell to the ground.
He slowly turned around and saw a man—a young, handsome man who seemed to be in his early twenties, wearing a white silk shirt, black casual trousers, and a pair of brown casual leather shoes. He had his hands in his pockets and was smiling at him.
“Lord?” The Grand Elder hesitated, unsure.
“What? Can’t you recognize me now that I’ve taken off my mask?” The young man walked over casually, step by step. Li Tianyu felt an overwhelming pressure pressing down on him, preventing him from moving even slightly.
“Please spare my life, my lord…” Li Tianyu couldn’t even kneel to beg for mercy. He could only shake his head in panic, watching as the young man drew closer.
“Li Tianyu, to be honest, it wasn’t a wise decision of mine to appoint you as the chief elder for the Chinese region. I thought you were ruthless and decisive enough. But over the years, your actions have not only disappointed me but also disgusted me…” The young man reached Li Tianyu’s face, his once-smiling expression turning cold.
“To be honest, I was initially interested in your gu magic. But through these years, your so-called research has shown me that you only learned the basics. True gu magic is a powerful art, not about feeding disgusting things to poisonous insects… I tolerated you because you hadn’t made any critical mistakes…”
“But now you have made a mistake—a major critical mistake. A mistake that cost me most of my influence in the Chinese region and could expose our secrets to other forces… This is something I cannot tolerate…”
“Say goodbye to this world!” The young man pointed at Li Tianyu’s forehead without any resistance from him, and his body gradually dissipated like a butterfly taking flight.
“It seems I need to make some new friends!” The young man lifted off the ground and flew toward Ye Feng and the others.
While Ye Feng and the others were cleaning the room, the doorbell suddenly rang.
Ye Feng curiously glanced at Qing Lang.
“We didn’t order anything today…” Qing Lang spread his hands.
Ye Feng cautiously went to the peephole and saw a strange young man waving politely through it.
Confused, Ye Feng opened the door slightly. “Who are you looking for?”
“Is Mr. Ye Feng here?” the young man asked politely.
Hearing this voice at the door, Zheng Ze was slightly startled before looking over.
“That’s me. I don’t think I’ve ever met this young man before.”
“My name is Yuwen Zhuo. May I come in?” The young man extended his right hand to Ye Feng.
“Do you have something to ask me?” Ye Feng didn’t extend his hand and looked at the other person with some confusion.
“Ah, actually, I’ve just heard of you, so I came by by chance!” Seeing Ye Feng’s wariness, Yu Wenzhuo shook his head smiling. “I’m here to find someone and take them back to where they belong.”
“Who exactly are you looking for?” These nonsensical words made Ye Feng’s expression darken slightly.
“It seems the third elder in the Chinese region has gotten lost. I heard he’s here, can I bring him back?” Yu Wenzhuo remained polite, smiling at Ye Feng.
“You’re…” Ye Feng stepped back. Yu Wenzhuo didn’t push in but stood politely at the door.
“According to your understanding, I’m the leader of that evil organization—Original Sin, the real leader!” Yu Wenzhuo raised his eyebrows at Ye Feng, looking somewhat proud.
Ye Feng was skeptical. He glanced at Zheng Ze and saw utter despair in his eyes, while Zhenzhu beside him was terrified.
Then Ye Feng looked at Long Tian, who was in the Golden Core stage not far away. Sweat dropped from Long Tian’s forehead as well, his eyes filled with shock.
“Hello, come in and sit!” Realizing he was in trouble, Ye Feng extended his right hand.
