Chapter 005: Shattering the Domain
Free from the restraint of those mountain giants, Moses, Leibao, and the others moved like tigers descending from the mountains, unstoppable. Seeing that Tek had targeted Du Fan, and Du Fan was in trouble during the fight with Tek, Moses shouted, “Stop hurting my third brother!”
As soon as those words were spoken, Moses, wielding his War Sword, flew into the air and headed toward where Tek and Du Fan were fighting.
“Another one? Oh, is it Saitu, the son of the Ancient Tree elves who fought me once before?” Seeing Moses flying toward him, Tek wasn’t worried at all. Instead, he laughed at Moses and threw a punch at his long sword.
The War Sword was a blade forged by the Ghost King by combining countless ghosts. In terms of sharpness, it was even superior to Du Fan’s Frostfall Snow. Yet, even facing such a sword, Tek still met it with a punch.
With a crisp sound, the two collided in midair. Moses stepped back slightly, while Tek remained unmoved.
In terms of strength, Tek had a slight edge.
After that exchange, Moses laughed. “Third brother, let me take care of this guy. After all, our fight on that mountain top last time isn’t over yet,” he said solemnly to Du Fan.
“Alright, big brother, be careful,” said Du Fan before flying away. As soon as Du Fan left, Tek followed closely behind.
Seeing Tek trying to chase after Du Fan, Moses immediately flew between them.
“Second Commander, there’s a fight from last time that remains unfinished. Let’s finish it now,” Moses said calmly.
“Moses, right? Since you’re so eager to die, I’ll fulfill your wish!” Tek said coldly.
As the second commander of the magical beasts, had Tek ever been treated like this before—chased by an elf who wanted to settle things with him?
Without hesitation, Tek activated his Decomposition Domain. The silver-white domain instantly enclosed Moses.
Inside the silver Decomposition Domain, Moses quickly created a black Gravity Space Domain. This black Gravity Space Domain soon formed a small area about a hundred meters in diameter within Tek’s silver domain.
At this moment, the two were fighting in mid-air. Such a battle within domains was quite rare. After all, domain skills were unique to those who possessed strong domains; those at the Saint level or below, or even those at the divine level, did not possess such domains.
The two domains appeared as a huge silver sphere in the air, with a smaller sphere about a hundred meters in diameter at its center. These two spheres were the result of Moses and Tek fighting using their domains. Moses’s Gravity Space Domain was being covered by Tek’s Decomposition Domain.
“Moses, if you want to die early, I’ll make it happen for you,” Tek shouted loudly. As he spoke, he accelerated the decomposition of Moses’s Gravity Space Domain. Inside the decomposition domain, Moses immediately felt an immense pressure—his domain seemed to be dissolving gradually, and the reason for this was Tek’s Decomposition Domain operating at full capacity.
“Moses, how’s that? Haha, can you feel your domain dissolving bit by bit? Good. This is precisely my domain skill—decomposition. As long as I exhaust all the energy sustaining your domain, Moses, I guarantee you won’t survive!” Tek laughed loudly.
At the junction of Moses’s Gravity Space Domain and Tek’s silver domain, bursts of silver-white lightning-like energy were constantly released. As these lightning bolts moved around, Moses’s domain continued to shrink! Even tiny cracks began to appear on the surface of his domain!
“Tek, if you think you can kill me, do you really think you have a chance?” Moses said suddenly in a fierce tone. Inside his Gravity Space Domain, he slowly raised the Sword of War in his hand. Red light flickered across the sword, and as this light spread, Moses’s body also began to emit a red and black glow. The red and black light converged on the Sword of War, creating a layer of shimmering red and black energy around it. As the energy on the sword grew stronger, Moses suddenly roared. He pointed the Sword of War at Tek, and the intense murderous aura surrounding the sword transformed into a red and black beam of light that shot toward Tek.
This beam of light displayed an unstoppable and invincible momentum! Wherever the beam reached, those silver fields shattered one after another, like pieces of broken glass. Tek’s silver decomposition fields were also instantly crushed by Moses’s sudden attack.
The red-and-black beam of light continued to shoot toward Tek. Tek let out a groan and began waving his hands in the air repeatedly, releasing streams of golden light. As soon as these golden lights appeared, they struck the red-and-black beam heading toward Moses. Quickly, more and more golden lights were generated, each of which immediately headed toward the red-and-black beam.
As more and more golden lights accumulated on Moses’s red-and-black beam, the red beam rushing toward Tek slowed down significantly. Within those golden threads lay infinite power, gradually breaking down the vast amount of war energy Moses had infused into them.
Moses’s move involved transforming the numerous ghosts contained within the Sword of War into the massive war energy left behind after its creation, integrating it into his war domain. Relying on his own formidable strength, Moses compressed this red-and-black war domain to the size of a beam of light before releasing it, giving Tek a surprise.
“Moses, what exactly is this beam of light?” Tek asked, struggling to generate more golden threads and having them strike Moses’s red-and-black beam.
“Why, can’t our second-in-command sense the familiar presence within this red-and-black beam of light?” Moses asked with a smile, noticing Tek’s flustered state.
“Moses, what exactly is this beam of light?” Frustrated by Moses’s refusal to reveal the key, Tek asked again.
“Tek, aren’t you a master at the peak of domain power? Can’t you sense the domain energy hidden within that red-and-black beam?” Moses said seriously.
Hearing Moses speak in this way, Tek calmed down slightly and used his senses to sense the uniquely red-and-black light column emitted by Moses. Then, Tek kept nodding. “Moses, that’s amazing! You managed to turn your domain into a light column and even leave it behind. That move is truly remarkable,” Tek said with sincere admiration. Just as Tek was speaking, the red-and-black light column suddenly exploded within his domain! This explosion triggered a chain reaction—the explosion in the war domain not only shattered Tek’s domain into pieces, causing it to disappear quickly, but it also erased Moses’s gravity space domain as well. Moses and Tek suddenly lost the ability to use their domain skills. “Tek, what do you think? We can’t use our domain skills now. Come on, let’s have a fight based on our actual skills!” Moses said loudly. “Moses, is it because our domains have been destroyed that you think you can do whatever you want?” Tek spoke up only after seeing the red-and-black light column explode into invisible energy. “Lord Tek, I’ve heard that you are regarded as the man closest to a god on this path. So, I wanted to see what kind of ability is required for such a sacred title. Disappointing… truly disappointing. Judging from your cultivation level, it seems you’re not that great. If it weren’t for your domain being somewhat unique and covering a wider area, I would really doubt whether you truly possess such strength to claim to be the man closest to a god in the world,” Moses said. “Moses, how dare you speak to me like this!” Tek was furious. Throughout his life, Tek had always cared deeply about his reputation as the man closest to a god on this path. Being questioned like this by Moses naturally made him extremely angry. “Is that why I’m speaking to you like this?” Moses replied calmly. If Du Fan and Basha had seen this, they would have been surprised. This big brother, who usually seemed very honest, could actually say such things. “That’s right, that’s exactly how I’m speaking to you. What can you do about it?” Moses thought to himself.
“Well, I never expected that the three of you brothers are all such great talkers!” Tek said.
“Tek, since you think our reputation comes from our words, let me show you today the power of an elf war mage!” Moses said abruptly.
“Demonize!” Moses shouted. Soon, his clothes began to move on their own in midair, his hair gradually turned white, and his entire face took on an aged appearance. It seemed as though Moses had aged by over a decade in just an instant.
Although he appeared older and demonized, Moses suddenly felt that all his attributes had greatly improved. With a twist of his wrist, he swung his war sword at Tek again.
Once again, Tek countered with a punch, but this time he stepped back slightly, while Moses remained unmoved.
“What do you think, Tek? I was right, wasn’t I? If it weren’t for that domain of decomposition you used earlier and its large coverage area, how could you have beaten me?” Moses said with a calm expression on his face.
