Chapter 006: Fight

“Kroff, have all the dwarves from your tribe arrived? What kind of speed do you guys have? I can’t even bother to comment—even a turtle could make it here in all these days.” A rough voice came from the Magical Beasts camp.

With that voice, an orc over two meters tall stepped out of the Magical Beasts camp. His skin was greenish-blue, and when he opened his mouth, four fangs were visible. His upper body was bare, covered in muscular strength—clearly brimming with explosive power! He held a giant war club and slammed it heavily onto the ground, causing it to shake instantly.

“Tu Xian, are you trying to provoke me like this?” Seeing the orc recklessly smash the war club on the ground, the pent-up frustration that had been building inside Du Fan for days finally threatened to erupt.

“Haha, is that so? I heard you, Kroff, are known as the strongest dwarf. Let me test you today!” Tu Xian laughed loudly.

Thud, thud, thud—Kroff quickly ran into a tent and soon came out carrying a pair of battle axes. Their blades were nearly one-third the length of Kroff’s body, which made Du Fan smile secretly.

Kroff sensed Du Fan’s smile. As he passed by him with the axes, he suddenly stopped. “Kid, why are you laughing?”

“Respected Lord Kroff, the moment I saw your battle axes, I knew that some so-called Tu Xian definitely isn’t your match. So, I’m happy for you,” Du Fan quickly replied.

“You brat! How dare you say I’m not a match for that old Kroff! This infuriates me! Come here, I want to duel you!” Tu Xian, clearly having heard Du Fan’s words, roared in anger.

Hearing that Tu Xian wanted to duel him, Du Fan was stunned. He didn’t understand how this orc thought—he wanted to fight one person one moment and another the next. Just as he was about to speak, Kroff spoke first.

“Tu Xian, it’s me who should fight you first. Are you afraid of me and too scared to fight me, so you deliberately choose to fight this human? Hmph, I know you’re afraid of me. Admit it, right? You see that human is thin and weak; it’s obvious he doesn’t have much strength, that’s why you deliberately picked him! I know you’re afraid of me!” Croff was very happy to hear Du Fan say earlier that Tu Xian was definitely no match for him. At this moment, he stepped forward voluntarily to fight Tu Xian.

Both Croff and Tu Xian were the main leaders of the dwarf tribe and the magical beasts stationed in the Divine Ruins. Both were powerful warriors, and with their fiery tempers, it wasn’t the first time these old rivals had fought in front of the Divine Ruins. Throughout the years, they had always been evenly matched—neither could overpower the other.

Sure enough, upon hearing Croff’s words, Tu Xian flew into a rage.

“Croff, how dare you say I’m afraid of you? Have you forgotten that last time, your so-called ‘Great Tu’ smashed you with a stick so badly you couldn’t get out of bed for ten days? If it weren’t for your dwarven underlings acting quickly, I would have turned you into meat paste long ago!” Tu Xian angrily exaggerated his past victories over Croff.

“Tu Xian, how dare you say that? That time it was just an accident—your little stick brushed my leg. But that time, I split your belly with an axe! Have you forgotten? If you’ve forgotten, touch the scar on your belly yourself!” Croff also started boasting about his own victories over Tu Xian.

“Croff, you old fellow, take this stick first!” Clearly, Tu Xian couldn’t outspit Croff, that thousand-year-old dwarf. In a fit of fury, he jumped up and swung his stick at Croff!

Seeing that Croff had been fully provoked, Croff grinned and swung his battle axes to meet him!

When the staff and battle axes collided, a tremendous noise shook the entire ground! Together, their weapons weighed thousands of pounds. To be able to use such heavy weapons with ease meant both men had strength of at least tens of thousands of pounds!

Combined, their strength was well over a hundred thousand pounds. The force of such a collision was truly earth-shattering.

Even the guardians on the outer two floors felt this intense force. After experiencing it, they all wore smiles that could only be understood, not expressed in words.

“It seems those two lords inside can’t stand the loneliness anymore.” Everyone smiled slightly.
After a brief exchange, they displayed astonishing strength. Following that clash, both stepped back simultaneously, staring intently at each other.
Soon, they clashed again. The intensity of their battle grew ever stronger! The area near the entrance to the Divine Ruins was as if struck by a severe earthquake, with rocks from the mountains constantly falling!
“You two idiots! Instead of doing proper work, you’re fighting here. Tu Xian, do you want me to throw you into the Hell of Fire and Ice?” That thunderous voice that had dismissed Tek earlier appeared once more.
Hearing this, Tu Xian panicked and quickly pushed Croff aside, jumping to the side, not daring to breathe.
Croff, unfazed, continued chasing after Tu Xian.
“Croff, do you really think just because you’re from the dwarf race, I won’t dare attack you?” The thunderous voice, clearly sensing Croff’s movements, spoke in a stern tone laced with anger.
“Great Leader, this Tu Xian has humiliated me time and time again. Today, I must settle this with him!” Croff shouted. With that, he leaped at Tu Xian, wielding two huge battle axes.
It was obvious that while Basha and the others weren’t there, Croff had suffered greatly at Tu Xian’s hands. There was nothing he could do—after all, the dwarves were at fault, and their allies hadn’t arrived yet.
With Basha and the others now here, Croff was determined to redress his grievances!
“Croff, do you think my words are nonsense?” As these words were spoken, a giant hand appeared out of thin air and slammed down on Croff.
With a crack, Croff was thrown to the ground, motionless, his fate unknown.
“Hmph.” That thunderous voice emitted a deep snort before disappearing again.
As soon as that hand appeared, Du Fan could tell it was vastly different from the hand shown by Kedilod. Its power was clearly much greater, carrying far more pressure—meaning this Magical Beast Great Leader’s divine-level cultivation was significantly higher than Kedilod’s.
“Grandpa Croff.” Seeing Croff lying motionless on the ground, Basha rushed over. Looking down, he saw that Croff was covered in blood, with many bones broken. But thankfully, he was still alive.
It was obvious the Magical Beast Great Leader hadn’t gone all out.

Seeing Croff in such a state, Du Fan took out a small cup of water and poured it directly into Croff’s mouth. Moments later, Croff woke up, full of energy again.
“Croff, you old fellow, now you know how powerful our great commander is, right?” Tu Xian said with a laugh.
Croff glared fiercely at Tu Xian and remained silent. Clearly, he was scared by the blow from the Magical Beast Commander.
“Grandpa Croff, please arrange for us to enter the Divine Ruins,” Basha said.
“Tu Xian, take them in first. The serious matter the commander mentioned must be this. Hurry up,” Croff shouted.
“Hey, human kid over there, was what you poured into Croff just the Water of Life from the elves?” Instead of agreeing to Croff’s request, Tu Xian asked Du Fan.
“That’s right, it’s the Water of Life,” Du Fan nodded.
“Can you give me some? Of course, I’ll exchange it for something,” Tu Xian said loudly.
“What do you plan to exchange it for?” Hearing Tu Xian want to trade, Du Fan became interested.
Reaching into his pocket, Du Fan took out a handful of magical stones. Tu Xian exclaimed, “These magical stones are all level seven. I’ll trade them for two cups of the Water of Life.”
“Brother Tu Xian, that’s too stingy. Level seven magical stones are decent, but they can be bought anywhere even in our human society. The Water of Life can fully restore a person’s injuries and condition in a short time. Honestly, it’s already considered a divine substance. Trading such things for these seems like you think I’m stupid,” Du Fan said with a smile.
Feeling he might have gone too far, Tu Xian bit his lip tightly and took out another handful of magical stones. “Kid, look, these are ten level nine magical stones. I’ll trade them for two cups of the Water of Life,” Tu Xian said loudly.
“Hmm, level nine magical stones are more reasonable. They are indeed valuable,” Du Fan said with a smile.
Hearing he had a chance to get the Water of Life, Tu Xian grinned.
“But I only have triple the amount of water now, so I can give you at most one cup,” Du Fan said hesitantly. “Ten level nine magical stones for one cup—will you trade? If not, it’s fine. Although level nine magical stones are precious, they can still be bought with money. My Water of Life, however, runs out once it’s used up,” Du Fan said.

“You!” Tu Xian said, slightly annoyed.
“Oh, you don’t want to exchange, right? If not, it’s fine.” As soon as he said that, Du Fan quickly put the water from the Spring of Life back into his storage ring.
Watching the water of the Spring of Life emit a strong aura of life force, Tu Xian swallowed hard and said fiercely, “Kid, I’ll exchange with you!”
“See? Esteemed Tu Xian, this water from the Spring of Life is an excellent substance that can quickly restore injuries and stamina. You should take good care of it,” Du Fan said with a slight smile.
Seeing Du Fan’s smile, Tu Xian felt as though his flesh was being torn away—ten level-9 magic stones! Those were things that could only be obtained from ten level-9 magical beasts!
After decades of hard work, he had finally gathered ten level-9 magic stones, only for this human to take them away in an instant. Those level-9 magic stones were the result of him killing those traitorous magical beasts who dared to disrespect the Great Beast Lord—it really stung.
Just as Tu Xian was still pining over his ten level-9 magic stones, Kroff shouted loudly, “Tu Xian, haven’t you heard the Great Lord’s words? Let’s get back to business and gather all the members from your side who are entering the Divine Ruins.”
