Chapter 27: A Battle That Shatters Cities (10)

Comer’s eyes suddenly lit up. It seemed Caesar truly intended to give him a thorough lesson. Marconi and Hilton’s performance hadn’t satisfied Caesar, and now Qin Reina, the knight second only to Caesar in the Wind Riders Order, was stepping in as well. It was said that this Qin Reina’s Celestial Sword had reached a state of transcendence, making it impossible for ordinary warriors to even block a single strike.
“Lord Caesar, don’t you think continuing this battle move by move is too tedious?” Comer suddenly interjected.
Caesar’s eyes narrowed immediately. He detected a strong fighting spirit in Comer’s words. “Lord Comer, if you have any good ideas, feel free to propose them. I’ll follow your lead.”
“Hehe, Lord Caesar, look—there are so many warriors behind you eager for a battle, and my subordinates and friends also hope to see this battle reach a clear conclusion as soon as possible. Since we’ve each chosen our own path, why not make this trial even more intense and wild?” Comer smiled. “I know the knights of the Wind Riders Order are exceptionally skilled, far surpassing the three major knight orders of Nicomedia. But we also want to know just how high their standards really are. Might I ask Lord Caesar if he’d allow the knights of Nicomedia to get a glimpse?”
“Just these knights from Nicomedia?” Caesar raised his eyebrows in disbelief. Did these guys really think they could stop the Wind Riders Order? That was pure delusion!
A sinister smile appeared on Comer’s face. “Lord Caesar, do you want to see the true strength of the Dark Faction? Its power isn’t limited to these people before you. You should know it possesses forces beyond ordinary imagination.”
“Hmph, undead or puppet golems?” Caesar’s eyes gleamed even brighter and sharper. “I’ve long wanted to see the so-called mysterious undead summoning techniques of the Dark Faction. Show them! Let’s see how much trouble these evil scum can cause under our holy magic!”
“Hehe, of course. They will appear. I just hope Lord Caesar won’t be too disappointed.” Comer laughed even more happily.

“Hume, let the knights see what Lord Comer has spoken of.” Caesar nodded calmly. “Then, Lord Comer, Knight Hume will experience what you mentioned. What about us? Lord Nojora is also eager to try, and I’m quite keen as well. How about it, Lord Comer? Are you interested?”
“Knight Caesar, it’s a great honor to receive your invitation. As for Lord Nojora, I wonder if Knight Caesar would be interested in collaborating with him?” Comer’s expression turned solemn.
“What did you say?!” Caesar was furious—someone dared to openly challenge his alliance with Nojora?! Was that possible? Such an arrogant fool!
“Lord Caesar, please calm down. You seem to have misunderstood me. I didn’t mean to challenge the leader of the Wind Knights and the head of the Tribunal alone. I merely think it would be a rare opportunity if Lord Nojora’s magic and Lord Caesar’s martial arts were combined. I believe many people, including me, wouldn’t want to miss such an opportunity.”
Though both sides spoke politely, once the last veil of pretense was torn away, no one cared about propriety anymore.
Caesar studied his opponent carefully. The smile and confidence on the other’s face puzzled him.
He couldn’t believe the other dared to be so arrogant. If he allied with Nojora, who in this world would dare to confront them? Just him, Comer? Even with the teachings of the Dark Line, Caesar was confident that he and Nojora could end the other’s life in just three rounds!
“Oh, it seems Lord Comer really wants to test the combination of magic and martial arts from our Church of Light. You’ve chosen me and Lord Nojora—shouldn’t I also have the right to know who our opponent is?” Caesar’s eyes burned with fiery intensity. It had been a long time since anyone had dared to speak so boldly in front of him. Interesting—this trip was worthwhile just because of the other’s confidence. This battle was worth it!
“Of course, Lord Caesar. As you wish.” Comer smiled broadly and declared, “Shatima, Mihajlovic, Lord Caesar wants to see the warriors and mages of Nicosia. Can we let him go disappointed?”
Shatima, on the verge of exploding, already held her massive dragon spear in hand. The icy dragon energy surging within her radiated powerfully, with icy blue flames spreading outward from the spear through her combat energy.

Hearing Komer’s call, Shatima could no longer hold back. Her muscular body leaped lightly into the air, executing a flawless aerial jump as she rushed forward.

Mihaevich, on the other hand, remained low-key, taking just two silent steps before standing aside, quietly observing the battlefield and waiting for a fierce battle to erupt.

“A Dragon Knight?!” Caesar’s sharp gaze scanned Shatima like two razor-sharp needles. Even Shatima could feel that intense, almost tangible stare, as if she were completely naked before him, which made her very uncomfortable.

Caesar’s words made Komer and Shatima shudder. Komer was surprised yet slightly impressed, while Shatima was utterly shocked—her true identity had been revealed at a glance. This man, regarded as one of the strongest among humans, was truly extraordinary. She had hidden among mortals for so long that no one, except Komer, had ever discovered her true origins.

“Lord Komer, do you really think a Dragon Knight can change fate? No, no—relying on such external factors will only hold you back. You might pay an unimaginable price for it. I can tell you clearly: the dragons cannot change any of our human fates, not even when they transform.”

“Hehe, Lord Caesar, why do I sense concern in your words? Am I overthinking it, or am I sensitive?” Komer retorted with a light laugh. “Problems that words can’t solve often require force. We both know that I won’t surrender just because of your words, right?”

“Hahahaha! Lord Komer, it seems my good intentions were misunderstood. Let me be redundant—this is the Puppet Mage Mihaevich. I’ve heard of your name before, long ago. I never expected you to end up in Nicosia. Do you really have to get involved in this mess?”

“Lord Caesar, I’m sorry to be on opposing sides of you. I don’t want to go against the Wind Riders or even the entire Light Church, but I have no choice. Because you refuse to give us any room to survive—never have, never will. So I think we can only create everything we need with our own hands.”

Mihaevich said calmly. For him, who he fought against didn’t matter. What mattered was that he could use these powerful members of the Light Church to test his creations.

“Very good. I’m also eager to see your Dark Sect’s puppet marionettes and see what wonders these marionettes, defiled by the God of Darkness, can achieve in your hands.” Caesar nodded coldly. “Lord Komer, are it just the three of you?”
“Lord Caesar, if the three of us still can’t satisfy you, I’ll summon them to fight when necessary,” Komer replied with a smile, detecting the contempt in the other’s words. Yet the other would soon realize that their judgment could be utterly wrong. “Besides, Lord Caesar, since we main characters have stepped into battle, what about those Wind Riders behind you? Why not arrange something for them as well?”
Caesar stiffened. He hadn’t expected the other to actively challenge him. The other wasn’t crazy—seemingly, they still held an ace up their sleeve.
“With Lord Komer’s sincere invitation, how could Caesar refuse?” Caesar turned around casually with a smile, his tone suddenly becoming fierce and intense: “Children, what are you waiting for? Show your true skills and let these cowardly Nicocians see that the dignity of our Wind Riders is inviolable!”
The thirty-six Wind Riders immediately formed a formation at Caesar’s command, with twelve triangular attack arrays revealing their fierce appearance.
This was the real killing move! Each of the attack arrays formed by three Wind Riders was comparable to a Heavenly Rank Holy Knight. Who among Komer’s group could stand against them?
“Uma, the knights of the Light Church need an opponent—a one strong enough to showcase the wonders of our necromantic arts,” Komer’s magical message was deep and resonant, spreading out around them.
The mask covering the woman’s head was finally removed, and even Caesar noticed the eerie glow in Uma’s eyes.
As the woman made eerie movements, a massive black mist field was formed through her series of time-consuming spells and gestures. The mist grew thicker and thicker, seemingly about to envelop half of the square.
Two Black Knight Kings wielding giant swords stepped out of the mist first, their grotesque, rotting faces and stark white teeth exposed. Along with their grayish-green giant swords, seemingly covered in spiderwebs, the entire square seemed to blur in an instant.
