Chapter 50: Unsealing – Section 10

It turned out that Blood Pupil was glad he had been decisive. Otherwise, he might not have been able to find him now.
In fact, when the cockpit was first opened, almost no one could recognize it as a monkey’s form. A blood-covered figure rolled out, gasping heavily. Hundreds of wounds on his body, resembling children’s mouths, spat out massive amounts of blood, instantly staining the ground beneath him red. Yet even so, the blood-covered figure still showed Blood Pupil its white teeth and grinned.
It was the monkey.
A monkey on the verge of death but still able to smile.
The rest need no explanation. The emergency responders with them naturally provided the monkey with the best care possible. After a series of examinations, everyone came to a conclusion regarding Blood Pupil.
The forced extraction of his nervous system had caused severe damage, resulting in the loss of certain functions. The physical wounds weren’t a problem. But the monkey’s telekinetic power would be greatly weakened. In other words, according to traditional views, the monkey had lost the ability to pilot mechs in battle.
However, Blood Pupil didn’t really care about this. All he cared about was whether the monkey was alive.
Because he knew that so-called traditional views were actually the requirements for piloting magic mechs. Technicians needed sufficient telekinetic power, or mental strength, to handle them. But on Death Star, such old standards no longer applied. Even the lowest-tier mechs of the Blood Wolves used hybrid systems, with mental operation systems serving mainly as aids. So mental damage wouldn’t determine the fate of an excellent warrior.
Of course, such damage was still fatal for a technician. At the very least, if there were any weapons relying purely on mental systems in the future, the monkey wouldn’t be able to operate them. But as long as the person was alive, nothing would be a problem. After all, there was a monster living beneath Death Star.
With the capabilities of the Wandering Clan, recreating a human body was nothing difficult. Restoring a nervous system would be even easier.
So now, the monkey was wrapped up like a big zongzi and taken along by Blood Pupil, regardless of the severity of his injuries, to participate in the search for the black-haired person.
But unexpectedly, at this moment, the monkey wasn’t as enthusiastic as Blood Pupil had expected. Seeing his subordinates melting that huge mass of flesh, the monkey scratched his ear and suddenly spoke up.
“Stop it all. The head isn’t in there.”
“What?” Blood Pupil was stunned. He quickly asked again.

“The head was taken away by the enemy.” The monkey glanced at him and then recounted what he had seen earlier. Only then did he speak again. “But it didn’t expect that I wasn’t dead or unconscious. So I also saw what happened when it took the head and entered the cockpit. It can be guessed that there’s a huge base still in operation beneath our feet. The ruins mentioned by OldOld Buick are most likely this one.” “Then what are we waiting for? Take us down!” Finally getting some clarity, Blood Pupil was extremely excited and immediately urged the monkey to set off. But to his surprise, the monkey shook his head. “Take you down? Stop joking. Not to mention I don’t even know how to get down there. Even if I did, could I take you? What good can you do up there against an enemy that can defeat the Head in an instant? Just go to your death?” “Well…” Hearing the monkey’s explanation, Blood Pupil was momentarily speechless. Indeed. In terms of combat strength, across the entire Death Star, no one would dare claim to be second to Black Hair. Add in the power of the Killing Emperor, and Black Hair alone was at least equivalent to the five hundred mechs he had now. If even Black Hair could be cut in two in an instant by the enemy, his own fate up there wouldn’t be any better. But… that wasn’t a reason to stay back. After all, Black Hair was the Wolf King of the Blood Wolves. He had to go and save him, even if it meant losing all his subordinates. Thinking this, Blood Pupil’s gaze became resolute. Just as he was about to speak again, the monkey seemed to have anticipated his plans and spoke first. “Don’t worry. The Head will be fine. If they wanted to kill him, I wouldn’t be standing in front of you now. That mech is strong, but it held back. So what you need to do first isn’t to launch a forced attack, but to send a message to Death Star right away and ask for more allies. At least three thousand.” “So many?” Blood Pupil was surprised. “I’m still underestimating it,” the monkey said with a bitter smile, glancing at Baroka not far away. “Not only the number must be sufficient, but we also need enough Snake Teeth and long-range artillery. If necessary, we might have to go all out.” “What do you mean?” Blood Pupil’s eyes flickered, as if he had a badpremonition. Sure enough, the monkey soon let out a harsh, cold laugh. “Destroy Xieke Star completely. If they can’t defeat us, we’ll use this as a threat. The power of three hundred Snake Teeth is enough to turn this planet to ashes in an instant, forcing them to hand over the Head.”

“This…” Blood Pup hesitated for a moment. “It’s a bit excessive. By doing this, aren’t we essentially declaring war on all of humanity? Even Marshal Wick won’t forgive us.”
“I don’t care about that.” His lips twitched, his face turning grotesque. “Whoever dares to make a move—no more talk. Will you take action or not? If you don’t give the order, I’ll do it myself.”
Looking at the monkey’s monstrous face, Blood Pup was speechless. But in the end, he nodded. “Understood. If that’s the case, I’ll take it on.”
Orders to request reinforcements were sent out quickly. That’s why Blood Pup now had plenty of time to resume the search. In the monkey’s words, waiting was a waste of time, so it was better to explore the square thoroughly before reinforcements arrived. If they found the entrance to the ruins, it could give them an advantage in the upcoming assault.
However, this also allowed Blood Pup to realize the true nature of the square. It wasn’t the entrance to any ruins at all, but rather a separate platform—a vast, endless circular platform surrounded by a powerful energy barrier. This barrier acted like a lid, enclosing the entire platform, with swirling sandstorms outside it. In other words, they were inside a bubble of shifting sand. Everything around them was artificially created, even the sky above was filled with raging sand.
“What an artificial miracle…” Blood Pup sighed in awe after receiving data about the platform. He glanced at the monkey beside him.
“Can you imagine a base built beneath shifting sand? The power of these ruins seems far more complex than we initially thought.”
“So what? Our Thor Fortress was built in space too. Isn’t that way better than this base?” the monkey replied indifferently, picking at his nose. The long wait was boring, so he and Blood Pup naturally talked. Meanwhile, Baroka acted as the supervisor, leading a group of engineering mechs to conduct meticulous searches step by step.

“That’s not the same.” Blood Pup slowly shook his head. “Our Thor Fortress was completed thanks to the structure of the Mason Planet and the help of the Black Prison Gang. But this place—don’t forget—has existed since ancient times on the Xieke Planet. In other words, it’s a product of an alien civilization. Can you imagine? They built such a magnificent structure even before humans existed? What terrifying strength.”

At this point, Blood Pup’s expression turned serious. He stared at the yellow sand swirling above him, remaining silent for a long time. If he had been somewhat dismissive when Black Hair called him at first, now he was truly astonished. Discovering such a great structure on this primitive planet was definitely a highlight in his adventurous career. Years from now, it might even become a legend in local bars.

But right now, he had to worry about the safety of his leader.

“How much longer before reinforcements arrive?”

“Two hours. That’s the fastest we can go,” Monkey replied in a low voice after checking his watch. “Including the time we’ve already spent, it’s five hours in total. If nothing goes wrong, Head should be able to hold out. There’s enough time.”

“That’s just your judgment, Monkey.” Blood Pup glanced at his closest friend, his gaze complex. “What if, I mean what if, the enemy has already attacked Head? You…”

“No ‘what ifs’!” Monkey snapped, waving his hand angrily to cut Blood Pup off. “You don’t need to probe me. If Head isn’t found, everyone on this planet will die. I don’t care what miracle this is. All I know is that with three hundred Snake Teeth at work, even if he’s a god, I’ll turn him to dust.”

“But…” Blood Pup sighed. “If we think about it, it seems like we’re the invaders. If we hadn’t come to explore this ruin, maybe nothing of this would have happened. Head wouldn’t have been captured, and you wouldn’t have been hurt.”

“Since when have you become so cautious?” Hearing Blood Pup’s words, Monkey chuckled. “I remember in the past, if something like this happened, you should have been the first to take action. Has living a peaceful life at the 76 Triple Star Station worn down your edge?”

“What are you talking about?” Blood Pup flew into anger. “Want to test it out? Let’s see who really lacks edge.”

“Hehe, better not.” Monkey shook his head and raised his stiff arm. “I’m injured now. I’m not fighting you.”

“You…” Blood Pupils grew furious instantly. But before he could speak, the monkey spoke again, his voice suddenly dropping low.
“Actually, you don’t need to worry. For some reason, I always have a premonition that not only will our leader be fine this time, but we might even turn misfortune into fortune. Everything I’ve done is just to prevent problems from arising.”
“What do you mean?” Blood Pupils took a sharp breath, his expression changing instantly.
At the same time, Baroka in the distance suddenly let out a cry of ecstasy.
“We found the entrance!!!”
