Chapter 27: New Nobles – Section 7
The woman’s voice was soft, not particularly clear either. Yet, for some reason, it carried a captivating charm. Even Heibai felt his heart warm upon hearing it. Following the sound, he saw two young women standing up at a seat not far behind him.
Calling them young wasn’t entirely accurate. In Heibai’s eyes, aside from their figures, the rest of them could almost be considered childlike… Both had smooth, shoulder-length hair, bright large eyes, and cute slightly upturned noses. They were as adorable as dolls. Yet both possessed perfect oval faces, with skin so fair and delicate it seemed fragile. Their curves were just right—full in the right places, slim in the right places—exuding the charm of mature women from head to toe. These contrasts combined to give these young women a mesmerizing allure that made every man who saw them want to protect and cherish them.
Unparalleled beauties… Heibai immediately made this judgment. When he glanced around, he found that his subordinates had somehow gotten up from the bar, their eyes wide open, gleaming like a pack of hungry wolves. From this distance, Heibai could even hear them swallowing their saliva.
Damn it, these brats. So the drunken act earlier was just pretend… Heibai glared at them fiercely.
Yet he couldn’t really blame them. With such skills, the sound of them swallowing saliva filled the bar nonstop. Though not loud, it was enough to be unsettling. Ever since the two women stood up and walked toward Heibai, the shadows in the bar suddenly became lively. Heibai noticed—hundreds of lustful gazes converged from every corner. Could these two women really cause such a stir just by appearing?
To Heibai’s surprise, despite being such unparalleled beauties, the people around them only dared to watch from afar, not approach. The intense desire in those gazes even startled Heibai. Yet the two beauties seemed completely unaware of it. Smiling faintly, they came to Saro’s side, one on each side. Their beautiful eyes never left Heibai’s face, showing an intrigued expression. After staring for a while, the red-haired girl on the right suddenly flashed a charming smile. Her red lips parted slightly.
“Well, esteemed Lord Baker. Are our sisters’ looks pleasing to your eyes? Why don’t you speak?”
“Gulp…” A Blood Wolf pirate, hearing such a tempting voice, couldn’t help but swallow another mouthful of saliva. His neck stiffened like a clay statue. But upon seeing the girl with red hair’s half-smiling gaze, he was stunned.
Her fair hand stroked the pirate’s angular face. At that moment, the red-haired girl acted like a young woman in love. Her bright eyes revealed undisguised flirtation as her fingers slid along the pirate’s nose, chin, and down to his muscled chest…
The pirate was frozen in shock.
“What a strong warrior. Honorable Lord Beck, your subordinates are truly amazing. With such warriors by your side, no wonder you were able to overwhelm the Grand Duke of Black Hand’s flagship fleet with just five warships.”
“Flagship fleet?” The dark-haired man frowned. He wasn’t like those lustful pirates. The praise from the red-haired woman meant nothing to him—like farting. Instead, it was that term that caught his attention.
“Yes. Don’t you know? The ‘accidental attacks’ during your last mission were actually the Grand Duke of Black Hand’s fifth flagship fleet. Their losses weren’t just the five ships you reported, but as many as ten heavy cruisers. Five of them were destroyed mid-mission due to severe damage after you left. It’s said the Grand Duke was so angry he almost spat blood.” The red-haired girl smiled sweetly and withdrew her fingers from the poor pirate.
Yet her flirtatious charm meant nothing to the dark-haired man. His gaze suddenly turned icy. When he spoke again, his words were as harsh as the cold wind in winter.
“Who are you? Such information should be a military secret. How did you get it? Speak!!”
His words were sharp as knives. In an instant, a deathly aura erupted from him, sweeping through the entire bar. Silence descended like death. Everyone was shocked by this terrifying presence, and their gazes toward the dark-haired man became strange.
No one could have imagined that Lord Beck of the Bor tribe, who seemed gentle and polite, could be so terrifying when angered. That deathly aura could only be possessed by those who had experienced countless life-and-death battles—how could ordinary people endure it? For a moment, many felt as if they were in a vacuum, desperately trying to breathe but unable to draw in any air.
Of course, Sharo and those two women, who were the closest, were even more distressed. At Blackhair’s rebuke, they were the first to be affected. All three of them instantly turned pale as paper, their hearts pounding violently as if about to burst from their chests. Under such shock, they all suddenly lost their ability to speak.
On the other hand, Blackhair himself was also shaken by this question. The pirates’ eyes regained their clarity at once. When they looked at those two women again, there was no longer any trace of drunkenness in their expressions.
Seeing this, Sharo’s heart brightened. Her attempts to use her beauty to win him over seemed ineffective. This Lord Beck was truly an extraordinary person. Just his composure and discernment were beyond her reach. But the problem was that he was now questioning her. If she couldn’t answer properly, she might become his prey in the next moment.
If she couldn’t win him over, at least she could use him for her own benefit… Instructions from above immediately came to Sharo’s mind. After struggling for a while, she finally managed to speak.
“Lord Beck, please don’t be angry. Actually, this isn’t really a secret anymore.”
“Oh?” Blackhair narrowed his eyes. The deadly aura vanished instantly, leaving behind the gentle and polite new nobleman as before, as if everything that had happened was just an illusion. This change made Sharo’s heart tighten again. She quickly explained her organization and frankly stated that in the Moor Empire, this was already an openly known secret. The God-Eater Organization was not some outlawed underground gang.
After hearing her explanation, Blackhair immediately understood. He was also surprised that such an open resistance organization existed in the Moor Empire.
Indeed, with the strength of such an organization, it would be too easy to find out the true losses of the Dark Duke. But the problem was, how could the Moor Empire allow an organization so powerful that it might threaten the regime to exist? Wouldn’t that be like planting a bomb right beside them?
Seeing Blackhair’s puzzled expression, Sharo naturally knew what he was thinking. But she wouldn’t explain. Instead, she smiled faintly and looked at him with an expectant gaze.
“Lord Beck has a bright future, so of course he understands the value of our God-Eater Organization. I think that’s enough to explain everything that’s happened tonight.”
“Yes,” Blackhair nodded. He had to admit this fact. The hostility in his gaze toward them also disappeared. “But I can’t see what you could possibly get from me. I’m just a minor lord.”
“Hehe, you’re too modest. Though you’re just a lord now, with Miss Wei Li as your backing, I’m sure your future will be smooth sailing. We believe that.” Sharo laughed and didn’t answer the dark-haired man’s question instead pointing at the two charming women beside him. “One of them is named Bei Qing, and the other is Lona. Both are beauties from our Kunt tribe. If Lord Baker likes them, I’ll give them to you. I’ve always said that we Kunt people don’t have any other skills but selling our bodies. Lord Baker, there’s no need to be so polite if you need anything. And your subordinates are all such brave warriors—they surely also need the best women to accompany them. Trust me, the Kunt people won’t disappoint their friends.” Hearing this, the pirates around the dark-haired man’s eyes lit up. Their unrestrained gazes wandered over the two charming women. The women, unbothered, even smiled seductively and swayed their waists, drawing more sounds of saliva-swallowing. The dark-haired man could only laugh helplessly. Was this Sharo some kind of pimp? He kept bringing up his profession no matter what. Yet his expression seemed so natural, as if being a prostitute was as ordinary to him as eating or drinking—nothing shameful at all. Seeing the expressions on his subordinates’ faces, he felt helpless. No one is a saint, and his subordinates were all fierce warriors. Of course, he couldn’t expect them to become monks. But these Kunt people clearly had ulterior motives. This “sweet fruit” might look good, but would it taste good? Still, why should he care? With that thought, the dark-haired man refused no longer. He let his subordinates pull the two women into their arms while he focused his gaze on Sharo’s face. Smiling, he reached out to order a Glass Angel. “Very well. Sharo, now you can speak. What exactly do you want?” “It’s not a big deal… I just hope that during the next expedition, you’ll allow a few of us to accompany you. I think it shouldn’t be too difficult for a fleet commander like you, right?” Sharo replied with a smile. “Oh?” The dark-haired man was stunned. “The empire’s expeditions require approval from the military. I don’t know when the next one will be. Isn’t it too early for you to make such a request now?”
“Of course not… Honorable Lord Baker. You know, we always get news a little faster than through normal channels. Unluckily, we just found out that the Empire will strike again in a month. This time, the target is…” Sharo glanced around and, seeing that no one was paying attention, lowered his voice. “It’s that settlement of the new race!”
