Hearing this, the four divine apes became energized. They knew they couldn’t defeat Ni Li alone. Since water power could harm him, it meant Ni Li wasn’t invincible. Together, the Five Elements Divine Apes had a powerful ability that could almost destroy the world, but they wouldn’t use it unless they were in a desperate situation.
Wu Zhiqi swung his Sea-Subduing Whip downward with great force. Needless to say, its power was earth-shattering. What was astonishing was that a vast ocean descended from the sky above the Buddhist hell. Yes, a massive expanse of seawater fell from the heavens, instantly enveloping Ni Li. Although the ice had a tangible form, the Creative Divine Ape combined the five elements, and the Sea-Subduing Whip, the Everlasting Tree, and the three swords of extermination were all derived from the Pangu Axe—thus they were originally one entity, with no possibility of rejection. As such, it was extremely difficult for the Bodhisattva of Ice and Mud Nili to penetrate them, but for the Creative Divine Ape, they were as if they didn’t exist at all.
With no way to avoid them, the Bodhisattva of Ice and Mud Nili seemed utterly unconcerned. The Slaying God Circle wrapped tightly around his neck, while the other three swords struck him with tremendous force at the top of his head, his chest, and his waist.
Nili’s body was incredibly hard. The cold light of the Slaying God Circle swung back and forth around his neck, striking relentlessly, yet it only left a shallow mark. Under Wang Yu’s mental control, the three swords of extermination also carved wounds into Nili’s body, but judging from their depth, it was unclear when they would finally threaten his life.

At that instant, a red light flashed from a cave in Qitian Ridge. A clever little monkey, entirely red in color, holding two large fans over ten feet wide, rushed toward Nili in the sea. The Intelligent Divine Ape! He had actually emerged from seclusion!
Tongfeng sighed. At first glance, he could tell that the Intelligent Divine Ape had failed in its attempt to reach the level of Heavenly Sage through seclusion. But now, with Qitianling trapped in the Buddhist hell, aside from the Five-Element Divine Ape, no one else had the ability to save them from this crisis. The Intelligent Divine Ape had to emerge from seclusion out of necessity. Everyone was filled with terror. This Great Sun Tathagata was truly terrifying. But now, there was no way to retreat even by half a step. Tongfeng summoned the Tree of Immortality, and together with Wu Zhiqi’s Sea-Covering Whip, two giant dragons—one green and one white—coiled toward the Great Sun Tathagata. He swayed his body and easily avoided them. Then, from somewhere, a voice came through, saying, “I won’t harm you. Surrender quickly.”
The Clever Divine Ape shouted, “Stop boasting!” The Wind-Flame Fan was swung three times, unleashing bluish-purple flames mixed with intense fire force that swept across everything. The Great Sun Tathagata neither dodged nor moved; instead, he spread his palms like a large shield to suppress the flames. The flames then changed direction and rushed straight down toward Qi Tian Ling.
The Clever Divine Ape was terrified and quickly recited a spell to draw back the flames.
Then the Great Sun Tathagata said, “You’re not yet at the level of a Heavenly Saint—these flames aren’t enough!”
Tong Feng glanced at Wang Yu, and the two exchanged a look before nodding. With no way back now, they had no choice but to use the divine power of the Five-Element Divine Ape.
Wang Yu let out a roar, gathering the Five-Element Divine Apes together. After whispering a few words, they quickly dispersed in five directions, surrounding the Great Sun Tathagata in the middle.
The Great Sun Tathagata stood motionless in midair, neither taking advantage of the opportunity to attack nor speaking, his thoughts unknown. Only after the Five-Element Divine Apes took their positions did he say, “This won’t work.”
The divine apes remained silent. All five threw their magical artifacts at once—the Everlasting Tree spread out instantly, forming a canopy like an umbrella above the Great Sun Tathagata’s head.
