Tathagata nodded and said, “Hmm. You’ve figured out a bit. You’re also Wu Kong’s benefactor in this life, on good terms with the Three Pure Ones, Ksitigarbha, and others, and the master of the Divine Ape. Is there a better bait than you?”
Xuan Nu asked, “Is there another? I have no idea.”
Tathagata said, “You’ll know when the time comes.”
Suddenly, Xuan Nu had an idea and asked, “I get it now.”
“What do you get?”
“I’m traveling with Wang Yu, yet you only captured me and showed no interest in him. Hehe, I’m afraid you don’t even have the ability to capture him, right?” Xuan Nu said.
Tathagata showed a faint smile and said, “Capture him? It’s just a matter of a thought. If you miss them, I’ll capture them and show them to you.” With that, the figure vanished in a flash of light.
Xuan Nu was skeptical. At this point, Tathagata had no reason to deceive her. Was he about to capture the Divine Ape of Fate? The Buddha’s realm was full of uncertainty. Xuan Nu used her supernatural powers to move around, but her location remained unchanged. She knew she was trapped by great powers and could only wait here in misery.
Wang Yu returned in a hurry. He had just visited Flower-Fruit Mountain and Spirit Mountain. Upon hearing that Xuan Nu had been captured, everyone was shocked. Xuan Nu’s cultivation was outstanding among them. If Tathagata could capture her, he could surely capture anyone else.
When Yuan Shi heard the news of Xuan Nu’s capture, he remained calm. He simply told Wang Yu to convey a message for Feng Tong to come to Jade Pure Palace immediately. Only the Qilin on Wudang Mountain, hearing that a battle was about to break out, happily followed Wang Yu back to Qitianling. The peacock also silently fell behind them, leaving Wang Yu somewhat puzzled.

Wang Yu was concerned about finding Fengtong and was nearly at Qitianling when he saw a dark line approaching from the north. He was shocked—it was the same dark cloud he and Xuan Nu had seen before. The Buddhist Hell had returned!

Wang Yu had no time to look for Fengtong. Standing on the ridge, he shouted loudly, “Tathagata has appeared!” At that moment, many figures flew out from the various peaks. The Five Elements Divine Apes were all present except for the Clever Divine Ape, while Dayu, Houtu, and others came out to watch.

The dark cloud grew closer and larger, like an endless giant mouth ready to swallow Qitianling whole. Everyone on Qitianling suddenly saw nothing in front of them.

Heavens! The dark cloud truly covered Qitianling completely, and everyone on the ridge fell into that giant mouth. It wasn’t an illusion—it really swallowed them. The Buddhist Hell had devoured Qitianling!

Everyone on Qitianling ended up in the Buddhist Hell, with none able to escape!

Xuan Nu was sitting in meditation in the void when she suddenly noticed many figures before her. Upon closer inspection, they were the people from Qitianling. Then, Tathagata’s voice came to her ears: “I’ve captured Qitianling for you to see. How does that sound?”

Although Xuan Nu could see, it seemed as though there was a space separating her from Qitianling. With her mastery of the Xuan Kong Secret Technique, she could easily tell whether it was real or fake. The Buddhist Hell was incredibly powerful. Once Qitianling fell into this space, they would be at a huge disadvantage in battle. Unless they could break through the barrier!

Back then, when people rushed into the Buddhist Hell, even just the Bodhisattva Nili was hard to deal with. The place was dark, but it had little impact on everyone. Qitianling hung alone above a deep ravine among the eight great hells, resembling a castle in the air. Qilin glanced around and saw that the evil peaks surrounding the Buddhist hell remained as before, which filled him with courage. He shouted, “Let’s go destroy another one!” Hou Tu stopped him, saying, “Things are not what they used to be; don’t act rashly.” Qilin ignored her and leaped out on his own toward one of the mountains. Before he could get close, several bodhisattvas emerged from behind the mountain and fought against Qilin without saying a word. Hou Tu frowned. If the Buddhist hell was so formidable, why did Tathagata let these minor figures fight? He could have simply used his great powers to capture them all. At that moment, Tathagata’s voice came from above, saying, “Qitianling, why do you keep opposing me?” Hou Tu replied, “It’s not Qitianling who is your enemy; it’s you who is the enemy of the whole world!” Tathagata arrogantly said, “To be honest, there is no one who can match me in the world.” Hou Tu asked, “What do you intend to do?” Tathagata replied, “Leave the Five Elements Divine Apes, and your lives will be safe!” Wang Yu shouted fiercely, “Come out!” Tathagata remained silent, and then a figure floated down from above—it was Bodhisattva Nili. Nili still had his fierce expression, but it was unknown how much his cultivation had improved. His figure was like a wisp of smoke as he landed in front of Wang Yu, cackling maliciously, “Dead monkey, hand over your life!” As soon as he spoke, a green, soft whip wrapped around Nili silently—it was Fengtong’s move. Nili reached out to grab the end of the whip and tried to snatch the Tree of Immortality. Having been tempered by Fengtong for a long time, the Tree of Immortality had already understood his intentions. The soft whip stretched with Nili’s force, but his pull ended up futile. He simply threw away the whip and threw a punch at Fengtong. The punch was incredibly fast, and Fengtong had no choice but to block it head-on. When the two fists collided, the force was immense, sending out a powerful shockwave that forced Dayu, Hou Tu, and the others to retreat far away. With Dayu and the others’ cultivation levels, fighting might be difficult, but protecting the mountain was still within their capabilities.

Hearing this loud noise, the qilin turned its head and shouted at those bodhisattvas, “Stop fighting! It’s better to watch others fight for fun!” The qilin retreated, and the bodhisattvas did not pursue it.

Tongfeng and Nili exchanged blows; a surge of power rippled within Tongfeng’s body, as if that power was being suppressed, causing great discomfort. As Nili prepared to deliver his second punch, three gleaming long swords appeared in the air, flying back and forth and slashing at Nili.

Nili laughedhappilyly, “Fine magical weapons! I must take them all today!”

Wang Yu said nothing. He summoned his Divine Slicing Circle and aimed it at Nili’s neck. Nili laughed heartily, recited a spell, and shouted, “Hold on!” Wang Yu felt an unknown force appear in the surrounding space. The three swords moved more and more slowly as if trapped in deep water, while the Divine Slicing Circle gradually stopped rotating and hung in midair.

Tongfeng cried out, “That’s reverse creation energy!”

Nili reached out to grab the Divine Slicing Circle, while Wang Yu hurriedly tried to retrieve his magical weapon. But since the circle was closer to Nili and farther from Wang Yu, it seemed about to fall into the other’s hands. Suddenly, a yellow light flashed, and the Divine Slicing Circle plummeted rapidly—it was the Armless Divine Ape using its Earthly Spirit Pearl to apply gravitational force and help Wang Yu once again.

If the Vajradhara Tathagata were to appear, he should be able to defeat them one by one. Then why is there no sign of the Vajradhara Tathagata, with only Nili charging into battle?
