Chapter 4: The Grand Fleet (Part 2)

Guo Shieru glanced back and couldn’t help cursing, “Damn it, is it really necessary? To press them so hard!”
Cerisine smiled. “They have no choice but to use this kind of attack; otherwise, they wouldn’t even have any ability to resist. Without these things, they’re worthless—I can kill as many as I want.”
Guo Shieru glanced at Cerisine and suddenly felt like laughing, as a purple chain wrapped around their waists, tying them together. He couldn’t help but recall a phrase from his past life: “Tie you to my waist and take you with me.” Well, wasn’t this exactly that? Cerisine hardly needed to move—the purple chain would carry her along.
Noticing Guo Shieru’s strange expression, Cerisine asked curiously, “Shieru, what’s wrong?”
Guo Shieru didn’t dare say it—who knew if Cerisine would go crazy? He smiled slightly and said, “Nothing. I’m just… flashing away.” He instantly teleported thousands of meters away with Cerisine, leaving the spot they were in under artillery fire. After several more teleportations, Cerisine stopped asking and said, “The attacks are scattered.”
The seven still split into five groups:Kumoku and Monier together, Guo Shieru and Cerisine together, with the other three heading in different directions toward the fleet. The best strategy now was to blend into the fleet of starships, so that the starships couldn’t launch attacks and would be completely at a disadvantage. But the fleet was aware of this weakness too, so after the first wave of attacks, they began retreating in batches.
Attack after attack was launched, followed by retreats in batches. The entire space was filled with colorful explosions, a spectacular sight. But due to the scattered attacks, most of them were wasted shots—the fleet couldn’t hit any targets accurately. After all, an individual was extremely tiny in space, and the fleet relied on long-range attacks, which was already a last resort. What was even more ridiculous was that after attacking, they still had to rush to retreat—utterly comical.
Guo Shieru kept teleporting with Cerisine, getting closer and closer to the fleet. He said, “These fools who seek death shouldn’t do it like this.” Just then, the fleet suddenly turned in unison and retreated at high speed.
Yet the crew of the fleet was horrified to find that the seven hadn’t been left behind—they were still close behind, getting closer and closer, on the verge of reaching the rear of the fleet. Dozens of starships at the back of the fleet immediately turned around and charged toward the seven.
Li Ran’s spiritual waves spread: “Ignore those starships! Chase the main fleet!”

The seven ignored the ships guarding the rear and headed straight for the main fleet. Only Qi Wuzhen, as he passed by, casually sent dozens of sparks toward those rear-guard ships. With a few teleportations, they were already far away.

Those sparks landed on the starships, instantly melting the metal and seeping into their interiors. Immediately, shrill alarm sounds erupted from the dozens of rear-guard ships; it was now impossible for them to launch an attack from behind.

In moments, huge fires broke out inside those ships. Though confined to one area, no one dared underestimate them. Despite trying their best to put out the fires, they soon realized the flames spread extremely fast and could not be extinguished. Ten minutes later, the ships were completely disabled. One of the larger ships even had its compartment storing energy blocks ignite, triggering an immediate violent explosion.

Guo Shieru led Sericeline through the rear-guard shipgroup and vanished in an instant. Sericeline continued to stare at those ships. When she saw the large ship explode, she couldn’t help asking, “Who did this?”

Guo Shieru glanced back and said, “Ninety percent chance it was Sister Zhen’s doing!”

Sericeline asked curiously, “Why?”

Guo Shieru replied, “Only she can use flames to silently ignite those ships. Look… all the rear-guard ships are on fire.”

In space, when a starship catches fire, its light can be seen from great distances. Sericeline looked enlightened and exclaimed, “Sister Zhen is so amazing!” She admired Qi Wuzhen immensely. With her current strength, she wasn’t yet capable of destroying a starship, but if allowed inside one, no one could deal with her either. She could already easily handle warriors clad in star armor.

Suddenly, Guo Shieru felt a violent fluctuation in his soul—a sense of shock. Without hesitation, he teleported downward. In an instant, countless lights flashed from the distant main fleet, forming a blockade line. Their fierce attacks lit up the entire space.

It was an attack that disregarded all consequences.

At that moment, the seven saw numerous space fortresses in the distance. The main fleet had also slowed down, joining forces with the space fortresses to create a powerful defense line.

If this defense line were aimed at another main fleet, its defensive power would be terrifying. But since it was targeting just seven insignificant people, its effectiveness was quite limited.

The seven of them kept teleporting, approaching rapidly in a erratic manner. Occasionally, they were hit by sporadic gunfire, but their defense was extremely strong; as long as they weren’t struck by a large amount of long-range fire, they generally wouldn’t face much danger. Still, they were slightly shaken by the attacks.

Guo Shier also inevitably took a hit—not because he couldn’t dodge fast enough, but because he had just teleported in with Serichelin at the exact moment the shot was fired, resulting in it hitting them head-on. The impact sent him flying tens of thousands of meters back, equivalent to a full-power strike from a master at a nine-story altar. Guo Shier’s face turned pale, and several layers of his defense were instantly broken. Fortunately, after practicing Void Walking, he had incorporated some special rune combinations into his defenses, which prevented his defenses from being completely shattered.

Since Guo Shier blocked most of the attacks, Serichelin suffered far less damage. Even so, she was nearly knocked unconscious by the shock, feeling dizzy and unsteady. It took her a while to recover before she said, “Shier… you can’t… you can’t get hit. It’s terrifying… It almost knocked me out! Are you… are you hurt?” In fear, she hugged Guo Shier tightly and reached out to wipe the blood dripping from his lips.

Guo Shier shook his head and said, “Don’t panic. I was just shaken. I didn’t expect long-range attacks to be so powerful.”

Li Ran’s spiritual waves reached them: “Shier, how are you?”

Guo Shier replied, “I’m fine. Just shaken. Everyone, be careful. Being hit head-on is no joke.”

At that moment, Qi Wu Zhen was the first to dive into the large fleet, followed by Li Ran, then Kuumu and Monier. Wang Dayang also rushed in, while Guo Shier and Serichelin stayed behind. The previous attack had sent him flying tens of thousands of meters back, making it much slower for him to move compared to the others.

However, it didn’t take long before Guo Shier and Serichelin joined the large fleet.

A bloody storm erupted in space as the seven of them launched full-force attacks. There was no room for hesitation now—they had to destroy this large fleet. Otherwise, even if they reached the Capital Planet, these fleets would attack them relentlessly in space, putting them in great danger there.

The seven attacked frantically, quickly becoming embroiled in the chaos. Especially Qi Wu Zhen and Li Ran, whose strength was unmatched. This large fleet consisted of eight heavy carrier-class starships, meaning it was made up of at least eight fleet groups, with more joining continuously.

Almost everyone on the fleet was going crazy—what kind of people were these? Seven people could deal with so many starships, and that too in space. Guo Shieru casually sent out the Sealing Void Worms. Once these hit a starship, they would explode instantly, creating a 10-meter-radius destruction zone that turned anything within that area into nothingness. Their power lay in the fact that no metal could withstand them. Creating a large hole in a starship might not be a big problem, but if several holes were made in succession, even if the starship didn’t become disabled, it would be nearly impossible to function. Guo Shieru didn’t bother with the warriors flying around; Cereslin was there to deal with them. He focused on destroying as many starships as possible. Gradually, he realized that throwing the Void Worms into the starships’ propulsion systems was the best method, along with destroying their long-range weapons. He immediately passed this knowledge on to the others. The seven of them communicated using soul waves, a method that couldn’t be cracked or detected by any instruments. Through these soul waves, they coordinated their actions, throwing the fleet into chaos. As their goal became clearer, Li Ran and the others stopped focusing on destroying the starships outright and instead aimed to disable their engines and reduce their long-range attack capabilities, which made things much easier. Destroying a starship required tremendous effort, and dealing with so many of them would have left them exhausted. The Void Worms were extremely powerful, especially when used to destroy an enemy’s propulsion systems—almost always effective. Guo Shieru didn’t hesitate to use them, as these were relatively weak worms that couldn’t be refined into highly powerful weapons, so he kept firing them continuously. The others weren’t as extravagant as Guo Shieru; they used their own sacred artifacts to destroy the starships. Passing by a space fortress, Guo Shieru sent out over a dozen Void Worms, instantly destroying most of the metal gun turrets used for long-range attacks. As for the ordinary weapons, he didn’t even bother looking at them and rushed straight at the fortress. In space, more and more starships lost their power and drifted aimlessly. If a starship was destroyed by Guo Shieru, it was still considered lucky for them; if it was Qi Wuzhen who destroyed it, it was tragic, because Qi Wuzhen was a master of causing destruction. As long as she flew past a starship, it would almost certainly catch fire.

More and more fleets joined in, and the seven continued to fight. The battle lasted a full five days, leaving the seven completely exhausted. One after another, fleets sent out numerous ships. After five days, the United Spirit Kingdom finally stopped sending more fleets. Li Ran and his seven companions stood on a heavy-class flagship, all staring into the distance. In the far off, a dark dot appeared—it was a small spaceship.
