Chapter 102

Xie Wendong and the others drove their two cars slowly into the recycling station. From the outside, it didn’t seem special, but once inside, they discovered it was quite extraordinary. The recycling station was huge, surrounded by high walls, with various scattered items beneath them. In the center stood a two-story red building with peeling paint, looking rather dilapidated, out of proportion to the more than a dozen luxury cars parked in front of it.

After parking the cars, Xie Wendong and his group got out. Soon, a few people came out of the building. One burly man stepped forward and nodded, saying, “Please show me the invitation!”

Sanyan glanced at him and handed over the invitation. The burly man examined it carefully before taking it and saying politely to them, “It’s Brother Dong. I’m sorry for not greeting you properly. Please come in!”

The burly man led Xie Wendong and his group inside. At the entrance, he stopped them and said with an apologetic smile, “Brother Dong, I’m sorry! To ensure the safety of this gathering, please hand over your weapons!”

Gao Qiang protested, “Scoundrels! How can we part with our weapons? Sorry, but we won’t hand them over!”

The burly man’s expression changed briefly before returning to normal as he said with a smile, “Please forgive me, brothers. We’re doing this for your own good. If all the bosses brought guns, any minor conflict could lead to danger. If you trust Brother Kui’s reputation, hand over your weapons. He guarantees everyone’s safety and nothing bad will happen. And when you leave, we’ll return them to you exactly as they are!”

“That still won’t do!” Gao Qiang shook his head. “No matter what you say, I won’t…”

Xie Wendong pulled Gao Qiang aside and said with a smile, “We trust Brother Kui’s credibility!” Then he took out a pistol from his pocket and threw it to the burly man. Seeing this, Sanyan, Gao Qiang, and the others had no choice but to hand over their weapons as well. Still unconvinced, the burly man personally searched them all. When he reached Xie Wendong, he was startled by the sharp gaze from the latter’s eyes and didn’t dare go too far, merely giving a quick check before letting them pass.

Only after Xie Wendong left did the burly man pat his chest and sigh in relief, thinking to himself, “What a strong presence and terrifying gaze! He lacks the masculinity of the other bosses; instead, he exudes a more subdued, introverted aura.”

Xie Wendong and the others entered the lobby on the first floor of the building. There was a long table inside, with quite a few people already seated on both sides. Sitting in the center was a burly man with one black eye and the other slightly green. This must beXie Wendong thought to himself; it was obvious from his eyes that this must be Xia Kui!! Xie Wendong thought to himself; it was obvious from his eyes that one was blind. He walked over slowly and said with a smile, “I suppose this must be Brother Kui! I’ve long heard of your fame, but never had the chance to meet you. Today is truly a blessing for us brothers!”

As Xie Wendong observedXie Wendong thought to himself; it was obvious from his eyes that this must be Xia Kui!, the latter also studied him, equally struck by the imposing aura around Xie Wendong that seemed to penetrate the heart and lungs. Few people at such a young age possessed such an aura. Although he had never met Xie Wendong before, he guessed quite correctly. He stood up and said with a smile, “There’s no need to say—you must be Brother Xie Wendong. Truly a young hero! I’ve admired your name for a long time! Haha!”

The two shook hands, andXie Wendong thought to himself; it was obvious from his eyes that this must be Xia Kui! politely invited Xie Wendong to sit down, with Sanyan and the other seven standing behind him. Jinyan stood next to Sanyan, staring straight ahead, but gently pinched Sanyan’s thigh. The latter froze, turned to look at him in confusion, and Jinyan took the opportunity to lower his head, coughing lightly while covering his mouth with his hand and whispering, “Xie Wendong thought to himself; it was obvious from his eyes that this must be Xia Kui! has murderous intent!”

Sanyan’s heart trembled, but his face remained expressionless as his mind raced. He knew Jinyan wouldn’t joke like this—something must have been discovered. But he couldn’t pull Brother Dong out right away. If the other party truly had murderous intentions, it would only force them to act sooner. What should they do? In just a moment, sweat appeared on Sanyan’s forehead.

At that moment, Shuijing crouched down, pretending to tie his shoelaces, and quietly pulled out several steel needles over six inches long from the soles of his shoes, hiding them in his sleeve. After standing up, he handed them to the person next to him with his back turned. The group of Wuxing had been together for years, and they could understand each other’s intentions with just a glance. Shuijing had seen the warning in Jinyan’s eyes, so he secretly took out the hidden weapons from his shoe soles and passed them to the others unnoticed.

By now, almost all the underworld bosses in City H had arrived, each chatting with acquaintances. Seeing that everyone was there,Xie Wendong thought to himself; it was obvious from his eyes that this must be Xia Kui! clapped his hands and shouted, “Alright, everyone, quiet down! I have something to say!”

Hearing his call, everyone stopped talking and turned to look atXie Wendong thought to himself; it was obvious from his eyes that this must be Xia Kui!. He nodded satisfactorily and smiled, “I’m sure everyone is wondering why I called you all here today!”

A thin man with a scar on his face glared at him, slouched over, and said, “I’m a bit puzzled. Stop beating around the bush and just get to the point. Damn it, why come to this hellish place during the New Year without any reason?”
The scarred man’s words made Xie Kui’s expression darken as he inwardly snarled: No need to act arrogant now; I’ll be the first to deal with you! He forced a smile and said, “Brother Zhengping is right! I’ll get straight to the point now.” Xie Kui remained silent for a few seconds before speaking when he noticed everyone’s gaze on him: “Right now, our city is in chaos. Although there haven’t been any large-scale fights among the gangs over territory, minor conflicts keep arising. It wasn’t like this when the Fourth Boss was alive. Back then, our underworld was more united, with everyone working together. Even the government had to be polite to us. But now? Damn it, we tremble just at the sight of police. Why? It’s because we’re divided. That’s why I’ve called everyone here to discuss the possibility of merging the gangs!”
Merging? Everyone was shocked by this, including Xie Wendong.
Xie Wendong stared at Xie Kui coldly, thinking, What ambitious plans he has—trying to absorb all the gangs without a fight. I thought he wanted to form an alliance… As he pondered, he felt someone gently pull at his clothes. He froze and leaned back.
At that moment, the scarred man stood up and shouted, “Merge? Who the hell will be the boss after merging? I know it definitely won’t be me, so I’m not interested! Sorry, folks, there’s no need for me to waste time here!” Then he called to his three subordinates behind him, “Let’s go!”
Xie Kui hurriedly said, “Brother Zhengping, we’re still discussing this. We haven’t decided who will be the boss yet. Even if we do discuss it, it will be through election by everyone. Why act like this? Are you not giving me, Xie Kui, any face?!”
“Face?” the scarred man sneered. “What face are you talking about? Don’t you see what kind of person you are? If it weren’t for you having followed the Fourth Boss before, I wouldn’t even bother with you! Do you really think you’re something special?”
Xie Kui’s expression turned cold, his cheek muscles bulging as he said fiercely, “Wang Changping, don’t be shameless if you’re not given face! Right now, you’re the most arrogant among those sitting here as bosses. Don’t you look in the mirror to see what you actually have?”
The scarred man laughed loudly. “Great, you’re really something! I may not have much, but I’m leaving now! But remember what I said today!”
“Leaving?” Xie Kui’s eyes flashed dangerously. “Where do you think you’re going? Today, I’ll see who dares leave without my permission!”

Scarface didn’t believe Blind Kuai could act arrogantly in front of so many bosses. He laughed and said, “I’m going home. Let’s see who dares to stop me!” With that, he led three of his men outside. After taking just a few steps, two tall, muscular men with golden hair and deep-set eagle eyes appeared at the door, both holding guns. Were they Russians? Scarface’s heart trembled. He thought to himself, This can’t be right—how could there be Russians here? Didn’t Blind Kuai have conflicts with the Tiger Gang? Could it be…? Scarface quickly turned around. Everyone around the conference table was also shocked, except for Blind Kuai, who continued to laugh. “You…” “Bang~~~” Scarface’s face froze as bright red blood flowed from his head. His eyes stared at Blind Kuai as he slowly collapsed. Time seemed to stop. The bosses in the hall stared in shock at Scarface, who was still twitching on the ground, not understanding what had happened. Xie Wendong saw everything clearly. When he saw the Russians, he immediately thought of Hei Dai. Could Hei Dai have come after Blind Kuai? The man behind him took the opportunity to whisper, “Brother Dong, Blind Kuai isn’t being nice. Be careful!” Hearing this, Xie Wendong instinctively touched his wrist. Blind Kuai, with his hands behind his back, slowly walked over to the corpse on the ground and kicked it hard. He had somehow pulled out a gun. “Damn you! You took advantage of my kindness! Acting arrogant toward me ends like this. No one leaves here easily today. We need to work this out!” Scarface’s men finally reacted. Seeing their boss dead, they screamed in grief and charged at Blind Kuai. Blind Kuai snorted coldly, raising his gun and pointing it at them. “Whoever dares to take another step, I’ll blow their head off!” His words were indeed intimidating. The men hesitated. Two of them looked hesitant, while only one shouted angrily and grabbed Blind Kuai’s wrist holding the gun. “Bang~~~” Another gunshot rang out. That man staggered back two steps and fell to the ground, blood staining the floor. One of the two Russians at the door had smoke coming from the barrel of his gun. At that moment, loud laughter came from outside, and another Russian walked in. He had a refined appearance, wearing glasses, and looked handsome at first glance, but his eyes carried a sinister vibe. He gave Blind Kuai a thumbs-up and praised, “Kuai, well done!” Blind Kuai replied with a sly smile, “That’s also thanks to your idea, Mr. Yevgeny!” Realizing they had fallen into Blind Kuai’s trap, everyone stood up and demanded answers, “Blind Kuai, what’s the meaning of this? What are these Russians doing? What the hell are you planning?”
