Chapter 713: Hunting Begins
Strictly speaking, demons basically have no gender distinction. Most of the demonic creatures created by the ancient gods were designed as males to prevent their overpopulation, with no female demons existing to reproduce. Thus, even if a male demon attacked other female creatures, only offspring with some demonic bloodline would be born, never powerful demons that could pose a threat to the universe. Most void monsters with demonic bloodline actually originate in this way.
On the contrary, due to their twisted divine bloodline and extreme hatred toward true gods, these demonic creatures would rush at the scent of true gods like ants drawn to honey, even at the cost of self-destruction. The situation was most dangerous during the time when the throne was held high.
The demi-god demon’s frenzied acts of passion lasted three days and three nights because of Inferno’s fire. Animum, the victim, used every vile curse at his disposal to insult Donald, this terrifying enemy. The imprisoned god of aberrations, Animum, was severely punished by Inferno. Yet, thanks to his powerful healing abilities as both a true god and a demonic being, he could recover quickly even if his limbs were severed or his head was cut off—as long as he had enough strength. With the faith power gained from his role as a god of aberrations, these were not problems. Although Animum’s divine rank had declined due to the loss of his role as a merchant god, he was still a powerful lower-tier true god.
What concerned Donald was that during this unwilling act of intercourse, the demi-god demon had ejaculated countless times. Those genetic seeds absorbed the power of both Inferno and Animum, resulting in dozens of egg-shaped, sac-like entities forming at the ends of Animum’s tentacles. A twisted life force could be sensed within them. Seeing this, Donald knew his experiment in demonic reproduction had clearly succeeded.
In fact, Animum was already an aberrant creature, not much different from a demon. Now, having acquired a demonic body and evolved through his own characteristics, he was even better suited for demonic reproduction.
The fact that most abominations are male creatures is not a hindrance, as abominations are twisted and deformed divine beings, so anything is possible. Moreover, some abominations are actually malformed products of the union of true gods; with their shared bloodlines and divinity, they can easily produce offspring. In such cases, the likelihood of creating abominations is almost 100%, and intelligent, normal creatures will never arise.
Thus, Donald summoned three different abominations for the next experiment. What happened to Inphono previously occurred to these three as well. The poor Anim was once again subjected to violence, but this time, as if having learned from past experiences, she cursed loudly while also making subtle gestures to appease her attacker. Those tentacles constantly slid skillfully over the sensitive areas of the abominations being attacked, further exciting them and causing them to release their desires quickly.
However, the stamina of abominations is likely beyond comparison to that of any male creatures in the main world. Even after releasing their desires multiple times, they continued relentlessly without pause.
Seeing this, even Donald, the instigator, felt a chill run down his spine. He wondered in horror if he had truly created an evil tentacle monster!
But since it was part of the Abomination Hunting Ground plan and also added resources to the multiverse, Donald comforted himself with these thoughts and stopped dwelling on it.
Through experiments, Donald discovered that aside from mechanism-based puppet abominations like Anaxim and pure-element abominations like KsKs, almost all living abominations could resonate with Anim’s power to produce offspring.
Of course, whether the plan would succeed truly depended on whether the offspring met the standards; otherwise, if they turned out to be worthless below gold quality, it would be a failure!
Since Anim, the monstrous goddess serving as the mother, had an abundant source of power, Donald kept summoning abominations to fight against her. The hundreds of offspring produced by those four abominations had nearly matured under the nurturing power of their mother. One day before the hunting began, three of them hatched from their cocoons.
The newly born abominations were of all kinds, possessing some of their parents’ traits but being completely different from the existing abominations in the Abomination Hunting Ground realm.
All three newborn abominations were already at the legendary level. Given enough time, they could grow into new abominations of the semi-god rank.
Although it hasn’t reached a more powerful level, this result is already quite ideal for Donald. As long as the newly born demi-god-level abominations reach a certain scale, they can be used as a foundation for these abominations to devour each other. Those that survive can then grow into even more powerful abominations, and this cycle can continue to produce a large number of new abominations.
Anim’s role here is akin to that of a perpetual motion machine for true gods, which is why Donald retained half of its demi-god essence. By continuously drawing on the faith power of those strange creatures that worship it, it generates divine power, which in turn supports the birth of abomination offspring.
As long as the intervals between hunting activities are controlled, a single abomination hunting realm is sufficient to meet the resource needs of all the gods below the rank of mid-tier gods in the entire Pantheon. Of course, Donald won’t do that—excessive resources aren’t a good thing for the gods, as it could eventually lead to disasters that threaten the natural pantheon or even the multiverse.
With the problem of abomination reproduction resolved, abomination hunting officially began. The hunting realm was opened, and the first batch of 100 hunters entered it. In addition to the 30 passes already distributed, Donald gave another 70, assigning them to his allies and the powerful demi-gods from the main world’s major factions.
Donald isn’t worried that these 100 hunters will have much of an impact on the hundreds of thousands of abominations in the hunting realm. After all, the hunting realm not only covers a vast area but also has powerful rules that suppress outsiders to using only demi-god-level powers. As a result, even powerful mid-tier gods, though capable of fighting with strength beyond that of demi-gods and able to easily slaughter abominations of similar strength with the help of divine artifacts, can’t hunt many in just one day.
To put it simply, once these 100 true gods enter the hunting realm, it’s like throwing whales into the ocean—though they are huge individually, they are insignificant compared to the entire ocean!
