Chapter 33: The Best Hitman of This Century, Section 9

Black Hair moved in great haste. He didn’t even have time to search the manor.
Yet it was precisely because of this that he managed to evade the Moors’ massive army that followed closely behind. Less than a minute after he left, countless giant steel humanoid figures appeared at the other end of the street. All of them had a mech-like appearance, except their movements were more rigid and synchronized. Each humanoid’s head was equipped with a pair of blood-red electronic eyes, emitting a menacing aura amid a humming sound.
Self-propelled armor—Moors’ unique weapon of war. It had similar capabilities and uses to human mechs. But since it required no pilot, it lacked the emotions of a human driver. At its core lay all combat techniques, and in its “mind” were only commands.
In short, these were creatures created solely for slaughter. In the past, whenever the Moor Empire deployed such weapons, their goal wasn’t submission but extermination.
Unfortunately, this time, they might not be able to complete their mission.
By the time they arrived at the scene, Black Hair and his subordinates had already boarded the motorcycle they had prepared in advance and were speeding toward the airport. At the entrance of the manor they had just left, hundreds of shiny metal balls were left behind as a joke by the little girls and boys. Under the light of the artificial sun, they reflected a dazzling glow.
Undoubtedly, these metal balls were beautiful—each one smooth, round, and sparkling. At first glance, they resembled tempting gems. But the Blood Wolf Pirates around Black Hair didn’t think so.
Just look at the expressions on those little girls’ and boys’ faces. Damn it, look how cute and sweet they are. I swear to God, those shiny balls are definitely not children’s toys, the Blood Wolf Pirates grumbled inwardly, though they wore indulgent smiles on their faces, giving thumbs up to the little demons in their hearts.

Sure enough, less than five kilometers after they took off, a deafening explosion was heard. Visibly, a white shock wave rushed past at high speed. Buildings along the way were uprooted and torn to pieces in midair. A huge mushroom cloud slowly appeared behind them, accompanied by roaring noises. Even the artificial sun in the sky dimmed. The Blood Wolf Pirates turned pale, unable to bear to imagine what had happened behind them. They exchanged glances… Were those self-propelled armored vehicles really gone?

Little demons—truly a bunch of little demons!!

However, such a violent explosion seemed to have affected even Black Hair himself.

Although they were already five kilometers away, the speed of the shock wave was so fast that they were caught off guard without any chance to prepare. In an instant, all the small flying vehicles around them twisted and crashed downward. Several even collided head-on right in front of Black Hair, exploding on impact.

Fortunately, Black Hair had a large number of men with him, so they were equipped with large motorcycles that not only had a stable center of gravity but also featured reinforced armor, allowing them to barely survive the shock wave. Even so, everyone was unconscious after the explosion. The vehicles were filled with yellow and white vomit. The culprits—those little demons in the pirates’ hearts—vomited wildly, covering everyone around them. The pungent smell quickly filled the vehicles, causing everyone to frown.

Such a huge disturbance must have reached the entire space station. As a result, their journey became even more difficult. Many roads were blocked by flying vehicles coming from all directions, significantly slowing down Black Hair and his group. After several failed attempts to pass through, Black Hair frowned and finally issued a cold-blooded order: forceful expulsion.

The pirates brought out guns of all sizes and quickly mounted them on their motorcycles. With excited roars, the Death Star’s unique mixed weapons once again demonstrated their deadly power. The pirates didn’t even bother to ask those flying vehicles blocking their path—they simply turned them into balls of fire with a single shot. In their minds, since these were all enemy races, what was the problem if they all died? Guilt? Damn it, go talk to God!

This approach proved extremely effective. Fifteen minutes later, Black Hair finally reached the airport, where he saw Blood Pupil waiting for him.

“How?” Those were the only two words Black Hair said upon meeting her.

“Everything’s taken care of. I guarantee they won’t even be able to call their mothers.” Bloodshot Eyes remained as usual, joking around nonchalantly. Yet a faint glint flashed in his eyes as he spoke. Seeing that expression, Black Hair felt greatly reassured. He waved his right hand.

“We don’t have much time. Everyone, board the ship. Li Cha and Beth’s kids will stay behind to give them one last gift. We’ll set off in two minutes.”

“Understood!!” The pirates responded in unison, their faces once again showing those familiar sinister smiles.

Finally, this moment had arrived. All the suffering they’d endured at the hands of the Moors—now they would get their revenge! As for this Seven-Six Three-Star Station, the pirates simply sneered. Let it be the stepping stone for the captain to invade the Moors!

Two minutes passed in an instant. The Moors were no slouches either; Black Hair could already see countless giant humanoid figures approaching from afar. But he wasn’t worried at all. With a disdainful snort, he closed the hatch of the small spaceship. Then, like an arrow loosed from a bow, the spaceship shot swiftly toward the gate of the nearby star station.

That gate, which was gradually closing due to the emergency…

It didn’t close quickly—after all, it was the entrance to a star station, its thickness far beyond human comprehension. Nearly a kilometer thick, coupled with its rigid material, its defensive capabilities far exceeded any warship Black Hair had ever seen! Even Thor’s Fortress paled in comparison. That’s why, despite having already begun closing, it still hadn’t fully shut. When Black Hair’s spaceship launched, there was still a gap of several hundred meters.

In an instant, time seemed to stop. Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the small spaceship raced through space, defying time, like a meteor streaking across the night sky, charging straight at the gate. Just as everyone thought it would collide, it disappeared into the gap in the gate.

“Bang!!” The gate finally closed, its heavy thud causing the entire star station to vibrate. But all the pursuers who followed were left stunned, their eyes filled with painful frustration. Then, somehow, one of the Moor guards suddenly noticed something seemingly extra in the airport.

It was some shiny metal balls…

“Boom!!!”

The massive explosion could seemingly be felt even by the black-haired man who had already left the space station. Despite the thick doors of the station, he could still sense the tremors beneath his feet. The small ship staggered erratically through space, yet its speed increased. Inside the cabin, all the pirates couldn’t help but give thumbs up to the shyly smiling little girl and boy beside them!

Just then, a fleet of about five Moor ships appeared suddenly in front of the small ship, like ghosts in the darkness. Their slow movement clearly indicated they had been waiting there all along. On the gunports of each Moor warship, dazzling blue lights flashed incessantly.

Seeing this, the black-haired man actually smiled. He turned to face Blood Eyes, who was standing right behind him.

“Is it almost time? Are you sure you didn’t get the timing wrong?”

“Absolutely not,” Blood Eyes replied with a proud smile. He pointed at the space station behind them. “Otherwise, why do you think it hasn’t attacked us yet?”

“Good,” the black-haired man nodded firmly. “Then it’s up to you.”

“As you wish, my dear master,” Blood Eyes smiled even wider. Under the eager gazes of everyone in the cabin, he reached into his pocket and took out an object that resembled a remote control. Then, with a smirk, he sat down in the seat the black-haired man had just vacated.

Immediately afterward, a blue light, like a waterfall, appeared before all the pirates.

The blue light was thick, and the energy it contained was astonishing. No one in the cabin doubted whether they would survive an attack from it. Yet they weren’t panicked at all; instead, they crossed their arms and found positions, seemingly ready to watch a good show.

Because the focus of that blue light wasn’t on them at all!!

It was a blue beam fired from the space station, clearly a defensive weapon used by the station itself. But for some reason, to the astonishment of all the Moors, it struck the lead Moor warship with full force. Instantly, a massive explosion erupted, like a blue flower suddenly blooming in space. The unfortunate Moor warship swayed back several kilometers as if drunk, with a huge, visible wound appearing at its bow!!

“Oh, my Mother Tiya!! What in the world just happened!?” The patrol officer was stunned, unable to believe what he had seen.

Just a moment ago, he still hadn’t finished his tasks and could go home to enjoy the fresh soup prepared by his wife. How could things turn into this in such a short time? Was it really just someone causing trouble in the space station? Since he had already defended this place, what other options did they have? And using the station’s defense cannons to fire?

Besides, even if you do fire, please aim carefully—how could you hit your own people?

The executive grew angrier the more he thought about it, his eyes turning red. Just as he was about to order an attack on that small spaceship, another blue beam sliced through the silent starry sky, striking his subordinate warship hard. This time, there was no luck like before. That unfortunate warship was hit straight in the rear, and its three massive engines immediately erupted in flames.

Now, the executive finally understood. This… wasn’t a stray shot!?
