Chapter 6: Fury No One Can Bear – Section 6

Damn it, an enemy attack!!
This thought flashed through his mind suddenly. Blood Pup didn’t even have time to consider how the opponent had evaded the floating ship’s surveillance system—his body already reacted in the most appropriate way. First, he placed his favorite red wine on the table, then with lightning-fast steps, he rushed to the cabin door. From there, it was just a corridor of less than a hundred meters to reach the mecha warehouse.
Thankfully, they hadn’t spilled his beloved wine; otherwise, he would have fought them to the death. Blood Pup thought triumphantly. But before his smile could appear on his face—
“Boom!!” Another violent shockwave hit. Everyone in the room lost their footing and could no longer stay steady. Amid the intense shaking, a sharp cracking sound came from behind Blood Pup…
“Crack!”
Damn! I’m going to kill you bastards!! Blood Pup’s smile instantly turned into a frown. Gritting his teeth fiercely, he turned back without looking and rushed toward the mecha warehouse.
There was no choice—this small floating ship was designed only for transportation. Its power system was weak, and it had no weapons at all. Aside from a few scattered armor plates covering the vital engine area, it was no different from a naked lamb. Not to mention being hit by heavy firepower—even an ordinary worm mecha could easily tear it to pieces.
With the surveillance system disabled, it was clear the attacker’s abilities far exceeded ordinary levels. Under such circumstances, Blood Pup couldn’t rely on this small floating ship to provide any sense of safety. In comparison, the detection devices and armor on the demon were far more trustworthy.
Lacking weapons and armor, with his black hair already exhausted, Suley had no chance of fighting at all. As he ran, Blood Pup suddenly realized that their small floating ship was actually the perfect target.
Damn it, please not those damned sand pirates… Blood Pup muttered to himself. Falling into the hands of those bloodthirsty scoundrels would be a hundred times worse than falling into the hands of mercenaries or hunters—no, a thousand times, ten thousand times worse!!
But he forgot that the Goddess of Fate always enjoyed playing tricks on people…
Stepping onto the massive demon mecha and connecting to the mental control center, Blood Pup was stunned by dozens of light points that suddenly appeared in his sea of consciousness. Among these points, a brighter red one was flashing frequently, while shrill alarm sounds blared wildly inside the cabin.

“It’s over; it’s a missile launcher,” Blood-Pupiled said in a dazed tone.
“Boom, boom!!”
As if in response to his words, another massive explosion struck the already unstable small airship. The terrifying force tore through the ship’s hull, with waves of scorching heat surging inward like hellish magma, devouring everything in its path.

Meanwhile, in the room with black hair, the person who had remained calm up to now furrowed his brows tightly. He suddenly jumped up from the bed—his weak body now as agile as that of a raccoon. Before Su Lei could react, he was grabbed by a strong arm and tossed around violently. Two heated bodies pressed tightly together before quickly disappearing through a suddenly opened hatch.

Severe vibrations, flying debris, blazing flames, and rapidly depleted air—In just an instant, the small airship, which Blood-Pupiled had once considered a lifeline, turned into a hellish prison. All rooms were filled with thick black smoke, making it impossible to see anything. The increasingly thin air became scorching from the flames, burning the lungs upon inhalation.

From the outside, a huge hole had been torn open in the middle of this steel giant in the sky. Countless sparks, large and small, erupted from various parts of its surface. The main engine at the rear was ablaze, with thick plumes of black smoke trailing behind as the ship plummeted toward the ground.

Meanwhile, five kilometers away, atop a massive sand dune, deafening cheers rose. Dozens of battered mechs surrounded a large silver-glowing device, raising their weapons in celebration. On the device, a fat man with a grotesque smile watched the rapidly falling airship in the sky.

“Leader, you are truly magnificent. With this Tearer, we no longer have to sigh at those sheep in the sky. Your decisions are always so wise. Oh heavens, how lucky we are to follow you. Compared to you, that Black-Haired guy who caused such chaos in Berin is nothing but trash. It’s a shame those well-equipped city guards kept warning us about how terrifying he was.” Beside the fat man, a thin man kept flattering him endlessly, his face full of sycophantic smiles.

People like to hear flattery, and the fat man was no exception. His fat body trembled as he laughed wildly, slapping the thin man beside him several times.

“Nonsense. That black-haired guy’s bounty is only three million. Do you really want to compete with me, a notorious thief worth five million three hundred thousand? You worthless wretch, you really have no insight at all.”
“Yes, yes, our leader is wise,” said the short man, nodding frantically and bowing low, his flattering smile twisting grotesquely. The spot on his shoulder where he had been slapped burned painfully.
“Enough of this crap. Guys, go check on our prey. Be quick—don’t let it get burned. I still hope to get something valuable in return!” Ignoring the short man’s pained expression, the fat Baroka waved his massive hand and shouted loudly.
At his command, ten dilapidated mechs roared as their engine hatches opened, spewing long streams of energy.
Five kilometers wasn’t much of a distance for these mechs. But eight minutes later, reports began to come in over all the sand pirates’ channels.
“Leader, the target has been found. It’s confirmed to be powered down. We weren’t attacked, so it seems they have no weapons. T-ray scan shows this airship is carrying a large amount of weapons and mech parts. Boss, we’ve got it!!”
Cheers erupted again as the mechs left behind on the dunes danced excitedly, even throwing their weapons into the air. For a moment, all the sand pirates were filled with uncontrollable joy.
The short man rushed over to Baroka, his face covered in a flattering smile. He opened his mouth to speak…
“Damn!! There’s an ambush!! No, what’s that… red mechs… demons… so scary… No!!! Don’t kill me!!”
