Chapter 6: Fury No One Can Bear – Section 4

No one expected things to escalate to this extent; the entire Berlin was in chaos. Every street looked as chaotic as if the end of the world had arrived. Hordes of massive mechs moved frantically around, while thugs armed with various mercenary weapons fired indiscriminately. Bullets struck the mechs’ armor plates, sparking showers of sparks.

In pursuit of absolute profit, Berlin’s northern district had long become an ungoverned society. Countless murderers and fugitives hid there, making it like a powder keg ready to explode at the slightest spark.

This situation might have been manageable under normal circumstances, but once the government’s troops entered the city, conflict became inevitable. It was like playing with fire. In fact, Berlin’s elite had long understood the significance of the Black Hair group to the Black Gold Merchant Guild. Allowing them into the city was essentially a favor to Black Gold, fulfilling Karei’s desire for support. After all, for a government reliant on huge black-market revenues, it was unwise to offend its source of income for the sake of a few wanted criminals.

Yet they never imagined that Black Gold not only failed to subdue the three members of Black Hair but was instead completely defeated. It was simply a colossal joke. When the alarm was first received, almost all the elites stared at each other in disbelief. But the next moment, they became furious and immediately mobilized every resource at their disposal.

Thus, the scene above unfolded. Of course, this chaos provided the perfect cover for Black Hair at the moment.

Due to overusing his left arm and the strain from Thunderbolt, he was now on the verge of exhaustion. His entire body trembled violently, and no matter how hard Blood Pupil tried, it couldn’t ease the pain. Large beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, gathering into streams that made his body slick. His heavy breathing and lifeless eyes made it clear just how weak he was. The little girl had cried several times seeing his condition, and even Blood Pupil felt helpless.

Yet even in this state, the ferocity of the black-haired man still left them in awe. He had managed to install numerous explosive devices in the underground lair of the Black Gold headquarters before the guard forces arrived. Piles of them were placed beside every pillar that could bear weight, with detonators glowing like eyes in the darkness.

“Boss, this is a bit extreme…” After finally finishing installing all the devices, Blood Pupil immediately used demons to bring the black-haired man and Sulei away, hiding them in a narrow alley, and said anxiously.

He had originally planned to rush at the city gates with the black-haired man right away. But the black-haired man insisted on staying here due to the strict guards at the gates, insisting on monitoring the movements at the Black Gold headquarters from afar. Despite being extremely weak now, the chilling aura emanating from him still made Blood Pupil unable to disobey this almost absurd order, leaving him only to complain verbally.

“Not at all,” the black-haired man said, his lips tightly pressed together, his face contorting in pain, yet his voice remained steady. “I’ve said it before… they must die.”

“Eradicate them completely?” Blood Pupil was stunned.

“Eradicate them completely!”

The shrill sound of sirens grew louder as the reinforcements arrived. A force of over twenty magic mechs filled the entire street, leaving no space. From where Blood Pupil and the others were, they could even clearly see the flashes from their weapons.

“Damn, they’re beast-class mechs. Genuine military models,” Blood Pupil gasped in shock, murmuring in awe. But the next moment, he felt a sense of pride. If not for his quick thinking, they would likely already be surrounded by these terrifying military mechs.

Beast-class mechs were nothing like the ordinary mechs they had fought before. They represented the most advanced military force on this planet, far surpassing them in both defense and firepower—completely beyond their current capabilities.

“Boom!!!”

A thunderous explosion followed by an earth-shaking shockwave erupted as the explosive devices placed by Blood Pupil in the underground plaza finally went off. With a power equivalent to hundreds of tons of TNT, the entire building began to shake violently. Visibly, the ground was lifted by a layer. In an instant, all the windows in the building shattered, and long flames burst out. From afar, it looked like a terrifying giant beast.

Before the reinforcements below could react, true disaster had already struck. With even more intense explosions, the ground within hundreds of meters around the Black Gold Headquarters building collapsed simultaneously. Massive amounts of smoke and dust billowed into the sky, and a huge pit appeared on the ground, swallowing up all the mechs that had just arrived. Soon after, the entire building began to collapse completely. Countless huge pieces of debris, along with severed human bodies, fell to the ground amidst agonizing screams—it was like the end of the world.

Seeing this from afar, Blood Eyes let out a long sigh, a look of pity appearing on his face. As for the young girl Sulei, she was so terrified that she covered her eyes tightly with both hands and shook her head frantically, refusing to look any further.

“Let’s go,” said the black-haired man, closing his eyes and speaking coldly.

“Where? To the city gates?” Blood Eyes was stunned and asked quickly.

As a killer who had lived in Belin, he naturally had his own network of information sources. So he knew well that after such a long period of preparation, the city gates must now be heavily guarded, with all surveillance systems and weapons on the walls fully activated. Teams of mech guards were patrolling. Not to mention their large targets—even a bird couldn’t fly over Belin’s skies.

Unless… Blood Eyes’ eyes lit up.

“To the airport,” the black-haired man said, his voice still calm and steady.

“The outskirts of Belin are blocked off, but the interior is in chaos. The security forces must be insufficient. The guards at the airport might be withdrawn. This is our chance. Although my little demon can’t be used, yours should be enough.”

“Okay!!”

Without hesitation, Blood Eyes agreed eagerly. His mind sharpened instantly. The massive body of the demon stood up abruptly, ignoring the chaotic Black Gold Headquarters in the distance, and dashed away at top speed…
