Chapter 7 Chaos (Part 1)

As Qi Wu Zhen spoke, everyone saw countless tiny dots moving across the purple ice in the distance. Li Ran frowned and glanced at Po Jie, saying helplessly, “It’s exactly the direction Po Jie is leading us to. Damn it, there’s no way to avoid it.” He knew that avoiding it meant fighting.
Mei Li said eagerly, “Should we fight?”
Guo Shier sighed. Qi Wu Zhen replied decisively, “They’re blocking our only path. Unless they stop attacking, we have no choice but to fight!”
Zhen Wu Ji shook his head slightly and said, “From the moment we saw the Purple-Armed Men, they attacked immediately. It’s a fight to the death—there’s no way to communicate with them. So… we can’t escape this battle.”
Guo Shier sighed, “It’s not just a fight; it’ll end in bloodshed…”
Li Ran and Qi Wu Zhen continued to guide Po Jie forward. Guo Shier wondered if this was like deliberately walking into danger despite knowing there were threats ahead.
As they flew forward, they soon reached the area where the Purple-Armed Men were. Due to their extreme speed, they left nine trails of light in the sky, zipping past so quickly that the Purple-Armed Men on the ground had no time to react. They could only watch as the nine people flew by, after which those Purple-Armed Men sent out numerous signals.
Of course, Li Ran and the others weren’t going to engage with them. Once they found a weak point in this world, they would leave immediately.
About ten minutes later, Guo Shier and the others saw a strange building—a massive structure that resembled giant mushrooms growing together. Upon closer inspection, it was made of purple ice, with huge pillar-like structures topped by circular shapes. The entire complex covered thousands of square kilometers, stretching as far as the eye could see.
Beneath this vast complex were countless smaller buildings, all mushroom-shaped. There were countless Purple-Armed Men, and many more were flying in the sky. However, compared to Guo Shier and his group, their flight altitude and speed were far inferior.
Before Guo Shier and the others could get closer, shrill screeching sounds became clearly audible.
Li Ran said with a bitter smile, “Be careful. It seems we won’t be able to pass without fighting!” He quickly retracted Po Jie, his tone tinged with anxiety. He couldn’t stay calm—the longer they stayed in this world, the worse it would be for them. He had no desire to get entangled with the local inhabitants.

The speed of the nine as they flew suddenly dropped. Halechi wondered, “If we charge ahead, it’s over— they shouldn’t be able to catch up!”
Zhen Wuji said, “Look closely ahead. We can’t get through…” Before he could finish, thousands of attack beams were launched. The buildings across the city emitted purple light, and extremely cold gusts rushed toward them. Instantly, purple mist rose, quickly filling the surroundings with thick fog.
Guo Shier said, “It’s not an attack… it’s releasing mist. Heh, that’s a pretty good trick.”
The purple mist spread rapidly. In just a few breaths, everything around became hazy. Even with the vision-enhancing spells, they couldn’t see far. A heavy pressure descended from above, making the bodies of the nine sink slightly. Li Ran sighed, “Let’s go down. Heh, we can’t escape no matter what.”
Qi Wu Zhen said calmly, “I didn’t expect this mist to have such an effect. It’s a pretty clever tactic.”
At first, no one realized something was wrong. It was only after Qi Wu Zhen pointed it out that they sensed the issue—the mist had a restraining effect on them and seemed to also serve a tracking purpose. Yao Zebusong said, “I’ll give it a try!” He flew upward quickly, but within just ten seconds, he descended again.
“The higher up… the greater the pressure. The power in this world grows stronger the higher you go. It’s better to fight close to the ground!”
Yao Zebusong said with a bitter smile. The others weren’t surprised and flew downward as well, soon landing on the ice surface. Guo Shier stomped hard, causing countless cracks as thick as fingers to appear in the ice. He was a bit astonished, saying, “What hard ice!” With his strength, even steel would shatter with a single stomp.
The sound of rapid footsteps echoed from all directions—front, back, left, and right.
All nine saw this strange and enormous city and knew there were countless purple-armored people inside. Everyone felt restless. Even Li Ran and Qi Wu Zhen’s faces turned slightly pale. It wasn’t fear, but rather an unwillingness to be trapped here.
Guo Shier muttered, “It’s damn strange. Why are they persisting in chasing us…”
Li Ran sighed, “We’ll have plenty to fight in the future. We’re from another world, and every small world will be hostile to us. It’s like… if a sand particle gets into your eye, don’t you want to get it out? We’re that sand particle—they can’t be satisfied until they remove it.”
Guo Shier said, “Uh… Big brother, then aren’t we going to die from exhaustion?”

Li Ran said coldly, “Even if we die from exhaustion, we must charge out! Otherwise, we’ll truly die. What dying here means, I don’t need to remind you, right? Everyone, push hard! We have to fight our way through and cross the city.”
Footsteps echoed chaotically, with countless shadows swaying in the mist as the Purple Armored warriors gathered rapidly. Everyone took out their sacred treasures. Li Ran said, “Go! Don’t wait for them to get ready. Charge forward without pause, without hesitation—keep fighting! I’ll be at the front, and Xiao Zhenzhen behind. Show no mercy. This is a different world—don’t hold back against them. If you don’t want to die… kill them mercilessly!”
Guo Shier took out his Moon Blade, which transformed into a long sword, resembling the Ghost Head Great Sword from his past life, except with a handle over a meter long. Holding the long sword, he said, “Brother Li Ran, let’s start!”
Halechi sighed inwardly. This time, he was wielding a long sword, similar to Guo Shier’s. His sword also had a handle over a meter long. By gripping the handle with both hands, it became a short-bladed spear, though the tip was sword-shaped.
Li Ran flipped his hands, and two short blades appeared in them. He cast a spell, causing the blades to float beside him. He charged ahead—using his sacred treasures for aerial attacks was the most effective. Fearing the power of this world, everyone used their sacred treasures directly. In this regard, Li Ran’s strength far surpassed that of the others.
Qi Wuzhen smiled faintly as a ball of flame appeared in her hands. She said, “I’ll cover the rear.”
Li Ran glanced at everyone and added, “Don’t fall behind! Once the fighting starts, we won’t have time to rescue or stop. Follow me… charge!” With that, he rushed forward. Guo Shier shouted and followed suit.
Ezek and Beautiful’s claws suddenly grew thick, with five claws extending from their enlarged fingers like curved swords. One on each side, they protected Li Ran’s flanks as they charged forward.
Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! Thwack…
Li Ran’s two short blades turned into countless streams of light. Like a hedgehog covered in spikes, he plunged into the crowd of Purple Armored warriors. The streams of light from his blades instantly killed dozens of them. The warriors in front of him couldn’t resist at all—it was as if a sharp blade was slicing through tofu, destroying everything in its path. No Purple Armored warrior could slow him down.
Ezek and Beautiful acted like two fierce beasts, following Li Ran. Any Purple Armored warrior who approached them was immediately torn to pieces.

Without any communication or pause, the nine of them charged straight into the crowd of Purple Armored warriors, cutting through them like a streak of blood. The formation of the nine resembled an olive pit, with Li Ran and Qi Wu Zhen at the two sharp ends, piercing deeply into the ranks of the Purple Armored warriors. Guo Shier followed closely behind Li Ran, ready to take his place at any moment—he knew he had to step in to fight at the right time to give Li Ran a chance to catch his breath. Sure enough, as they neared the city, Li Ran shouted, “Shier, come forward and charge!” Guo Shier rushed forward immediately. All he could see were the figures of the Purple Armored warriors—there were simply too many of them. They surged forward like a tidal wave, their moon blades flashing, emitting golden-red lights. He roared as he charged forward, watching as one after another of the Purple Armored warriors fell to the ground. The overwhelming number of Purple Armored warriors put immense pressure on Guo Shier, making it hard for him to breathe. He hesitated for a moment before not releasing his moon blade. If he used the blade in its spell form, he was confident he could eliminate the incoming crowd in an instant—any spell form would do—but he had to consider the power of this world; only the moon blade in his hand could resist it. In just a few minutes, Guo Shier felt exhausted. At this point, he dared not relax even slightly. As they moved forward, he sensed that the strength of the Purple Armored warriors grew greater. Most of them had sparse patterns on their armor, but deep purple ones also appeared from time to time, and each time one of these appeared, he felt even more pressure. By now, Guo Shier could clearly see that strange mushroom-shaped building, from which an endless stream of Purple Armored warriors poured out. He kept roaring, his moon blade emitting more slashes, with the sound of cutting continuous, accompanied by the eerie cries of the Purple Armored warriors filling the air. Just then, Zhen Wu Ji shouted, “I’ll take it! Shier, step back!” He rushed to the front. Only then did Guo Shier breathe a sigh of relief—the pressure had become suffocating. Zhen Wu Ji let out a strange cry, “Damn… they’re so strong!” He fought fiercely without hesitation, leaving a trail of blood behind the nine of them. The one who was least strained was Qi Wu Zhen, followed by Ha Lechi, who moved in the middle, cutting down those Purple Armored warriors who occasionally rushed into their formation.

Qi Wu Zhen flew backward, his fingers flicking as flames shot out—one by one. Each flame was only the size of a thumb, and whenever it landed on a Purple Armored man, it ignited into a fierce blaze that would burn one of them to ashes in mere moments. This was a tremendous deterrent; even the bravest Purple Armored men dared not get too close.

As the group rushed into the city and moved down the streets, the nine felt even more pressure. There were many Purple Armored men who jumped straight from buildings and rushed at the advancing group. Now, Halechi began to find it difficult.

All nine felt frustrated. In the World of Spells, even with an overwhelming number of Purple Armored men, they wouldn’t have feared them—Halechi could easily defeat them. But here, with spell power restricted, they were forced to fight head-on, unable to use many of their tactics due to too many constraints.
