Chapter 6: Mad Slaughter (Part 1)
As soon as Meili finished speaking, she charged forward, her ferocity fully revealed in that instant. Bacha was shocked and swung his metal brick to meet her attack.
Slap! Slap slap slap…
Meili slammed her claws onto the metal brick, then alternated between striking with both claws and kicking it, using her feet as well. Her attacks were like a storm—Halechi, watching from behind, couldn’t help but shrink back, thinking, “What a fierce woman.”
Bacha was completely doomed. He had intended to pick an easier opponent but ended up dealing with a fierce female tyrannosaurus. The relentless series of attacks left him unable to defend himself; he could only keep retreating.
Bacha was considered a skilled warrior among the Purple Armored People, but he never expected his opponent to be so brutal. His arms burned with pain as wave after wave of attacks sent shockwaves through his body, causing his bones to crack and his legs to weaken. Yet Meili continued to fight fiercely, giving Bacha no chance to counterattack.
Stumbling back continuously, Bacha roared, screamed, and wailed. His arms finally gave out—his bones broke, one hand drooped limply, and a metal brick fell to the ground. He now had only one metal brick left to defend against Meili’s attacks, whose slapping sounds grew increasingly terrifying.
Seizing her advantage, Meili attacked in a continuous stream. With her physical strength, even Li Ran would find it hard to cope, let alone those of the Purple Armored People who were naturally weaker. The brutal attacks continued for several minutes until Bacha’s other arm was also broken. With no defense left, Meili swiped at the side of his head with her claw—just one strike was enough to end his life.
Meili smiled triumphantly, stepped back, and raised her head proudly, saying, “They’re no good!”
Ezekiel laughed loudly in a shameless manner. He was thrilled—his woman was strong, and he was overjoyed. As for Meili’s ferocity, it was perfect for him; such a Meili was the wife he envisioned.
The Purple Armored People remained silent, with no one uttering a word. They simply stared at Guo Shier and his group.
Guo Shier whispered, “The people in this world are really strange. Will they attack again?” He was also very worried. He couldn’t use the altar, nor dare to recklessly use the sacred treasures. His combat strength had dropped significantly. If they attacked all at once, things would get tough.
Strangely, the purple-armored men did not all charge at once; instead, they stood quietly, neither fighting nor speaking, creating a very eerie atmosphere as everyone stared at each other. Zhen Wuji also found it extremely strange. After a while, he said, “What do they want?”
Goha was puzzled. “I can’t figure it out. These guys are fucking weird. They all look like wooden posts. Um, no—seems like they’re waiting for something.”
Guo Shier also realized this. He said, “That’s right. They’re waiting, but we don’t know what. Maybe they’re waiting for even more powerful experts to arrive?”
Zhen Wuji, being older and a cunning type of person, smiled slightly and said, “Fine. Let’s wait too. Hehe, we have two top experts who haven’t arrived yet. The longer we wait, the worse it will be for them.”
Among them, the ones with the strongest resistance to the corruption of this world’s forces were Li Ran and Qi Wu Zhen. After all, both were peak-level professionals who had surpassed the Ninth-Level Altar, capable of unleashing most of their strength. Moreover, they could use Soul Scriptures to cleanse their souls from the corruption caused by this world’s forces. So as long as Li Ran and Qi Wu Zhen were there, their strength could more than double.
Everyone patiently waited in unison, but Aizek and Meili grew impatient. Meili stared at Aizek and taunted, “What are these guys doing? Are they just going to stand there stupidly? How about… I go and take out a few of them?”
Zhen Wuji said calmly, “Don’t move. We’re waiting too!”
Meili still respected these old guys enough to know they were formidable. After grumbling a bit, she stopped moving. There was no point in provoking them—among these people, she could only bully Aizek and Halechi. As for the others, she couldn’t provoke even one of them. She understood very well that anyone who had reached the Ninth-Level Altar could easily overwhelm her.
The two sides just stood there. More and more purple-armored men gathered, most of them with sparse patterns on their armor. Those with deep purple biological armor were rare. It took over an hour before only six such men arrived. Even after they arrived, they said nothing, made no threats, and just stood there waiting.
Guo Shier couldn’t help but laugh. The situation was too amusing. Neither side wanted to fight nor retreat. He had never seen such a stalemate before.
Three hours later, even an old guy like Zhen Wuji could hardly bear it—the atmosphere at the scene was simply too oppressive. Guo Shier smiled bitterly and said, “Heh, let’s fight. If we wait any longer, I think Ezek and Meili will explode.” Everyone turned to look and saw Ezek and Meili looking extremely impatient; indeed, they were on the verge of losing control.
Zhen Wuji nodded and said, “Alright, let’s just charge forward this time. After that… we can waste a little more time clearing out the forces that have invaded our bodies… Damn it, we don’t even know how many strange little worlds we’ll encounter in the future.”
Goha and Yao Zebusong also agreed, “Let’s fight. It’s too unbearable. We don’t know what these monsters want, so let’s just kill them all first!” After several hours of waiting, everyone’s anger grew. In truth, they all knew it was because of uncertainty—unknown dangers might arise if they waited any longer. So they preferred to take action sooner rather than wait further.
After all, Guo Shier and his group were too few, only seven people. Waiting any longer would be too dangerous; at least they needed to disrupt the enemy’s tactics. Although they didn’t know what those tactics were, continuing to wait was clearly unwise.
Ezek and Meili volunteered to take the lead. They charged forward, with the rest following closely behind, hoping to disperse the group of nearly a thousand Purple Armored Men.
These Purple Armored Men were different from those at the beginning. The mere cannon fodder-like ones had mostly withdrawn, and those who came later had at least sparse patterns on their bodies, along with seven or eight deep purple ones. Their numbers were much smaller than during the initial battle, but their strength was far greater.
Ezek and Meili didn’t dare transform and could only rely on their current strength to charge. They exchanged a glance, both showing a fierce expression, then shouted and charged forward.
Zhen Wuji rushed out after them. Halechi took out a long sword and, with a shout, also charged out. Goha and Yao Zebusong teamed up and charged together. Guo Shier still held his Moon Blade, fighting alongside the others.
The battle immediately became intense. The enemy probably didn’t expect these few to suddenly launch an attack, leaving them caught off guard. Dozens of them were killed in an instant.
Guo Shier fought hard to move forward. Fighting was like this—no fear, no hesitation, just pushing forward with all strength. His Moon Blade swung, emitting a whistling sound as it sliced through the bodies of the Purple Armored Men and severed their heads. At that moment, he felt incredibly calm.
Once the seven began fighting fiercely, their formidable strength was immediately evident. Although they didn’t use an altar to unleash as brutal magical powers, even so, the Purple Armored men couldn’t withstand them. Especially Ezek and Mei Li, who were like two fierce dragons clearing a path ahead—any Purple Armored man who tried to resist was torn to pieces.
The deep-purple Purple Armored men fled at lightning speed like frightened rabbits, with only those with sparse patterns on their bodies rushing forward. With several strange shouts, they desperately attacked. Their strength was average compared to Guo Shier and the others, but with their numbers, they fought frantically as if driven by some force.
Once this slaughter began, it could no longer be stopped. Each of the seven professionals understood that they couldn’t escape unless they killed all their opponents. They exerted their full strength, killing wildly and swiftly.
The leading Purple Armored men avoided direct confrontation, not daring to stop the seven. Instead, they summoned lower-tier Purple Armored men as fodder, trying to exhaust their opponents’ strength through sheer numbers. The strength displayed by these seven truly scared them. Unfortunately, Guo Shier and the others didn’t dare use the altar; otherwise, they wouldn’t have been trapped and forced to fight desperately against such a large group.
Continuous howls echoed as the seven scattered, using them to communicate with each other.
Guo Shier wielded his Moon Blade, slashing back and forth. He had been hit countless times, surrounded by Purple Armored men he couldn’t fully block. Fortunately, the Umbrella Tower Sacrificial Treasure was hidden within him, appearing automatically to block each attack.
Amid the howls, Guo Shier swung his blade dozens of times, instantly killing over a dozen Purple Armored men. He looked disheveled, his clothes torn into strips hanging on his body. With another howl, he charged into the crowd. His Moon Blade emitted a golden glow, turning the group of Purple Armored men into a sea of blood in an instant.
…
Li Ran and Qi Wu Zhen stared in shock at the fighting not far away. After a long silence, Li Ran said, “What the hell is this?” After leaving their seclusion, they followed the howls and saw the seven fighting wildly. It was also the first time they had seen Purple Armored men.
Qi Wu Zhen said, “Many monsters are coming…”
No one knew where the purple-armored warriors came from. As the battle progressed, more and more of them emerged, charging at the seven of them recklessly. Gradually, some began to get injured. First was Halechi, whose defense was relatively weak; countless weapons struck his body, and even with his defensive talismans, he couldn’t withstand it, sustaining minor injuries.
Although the attacks from the purple-armored warriors weren’t particularly fierce, the continuous strikes still caused great trouble for the seven of them. Even tough monsters like Aizek and Meili couldn’t hold out. If a spot was hit repeatedly, even the best defenses would leave marks.
Qi Wu Zhen stepped forward and said, “Let me take care of it!” Immediately afterward, she let out a long cry to draw everyone’s attention, then shouted, “Back off!”
