Chapter 4: Halechi (Part 1)
Qi Wu Zhen said indifferently, “Get lost!”
Halechi lunged at her abruptly. This guy had ulterior motives—he didn’t use any skills nor summon a altar; he simply charged forward. This wasn’t a fight; it was an embrace.
Guo Shier said, “Damn, this guy is fierce!”
Eagle Demon laughed, “He’s in trouble!”
Everyone’s gaze held deep sympathy, mixed with undisguised schadenfreude—as they all prepared to watch the joke play out.
Qi Wu Zhen showed a mocking expression. She waved her hand in a feinting strike and said, “I said… get lost!” A overwhelming soul pressure was suddenly unleashed. Guo Shier and the others, having prior experience, instantly dodged behind Qi Wu Zhen. Even so, they were severely intimidated by the pressure.
Halechi trembled as if struck by lightning. Soon after, a crimson spectral palm swung at him. He wanted to dodge, but Qi Wu Zhen’s soul pressure was too strong—his body froze mid-air. Terrified, he tried desperately to summon his altar, but his body was stiff, and even his soul seemed frozen. All he could shout was, “No!”
Boom!
Halechi arced through the sky like a projectile before crashing far below. Nan You teased from the side, “Huh, can’t he fly?”
Eagle Demon replied, “Fly? Pfft! You’re frozen too.”
Nan You sighed, “Oh… poor guy!”
Before those words faded, Halechi had landed. The impact shook everyone to their core. Falling from such a height, even a master would likely break several bones.
With a roar, Halechi shot back into the sky.
Guo Shier exclaimed, “His bones are really tough—he’s fine even after that.”
Wang Keer said, “That’s because he’s extremely strong!”
Halechi was furious—to be flung away with just a slap was an utter humiliation. He rose from the ground and summoned his altar.
Guo Shier gasped in shock. “Whoa, an eighth-tier altar! No wonder he was so weak—eighth tier… Damn, impressive…”
Eagle Demon said, “It’s impressive, sure, but this guy’s luck is terrible. He met someone even stronger. Hehe, let’s watch… I bet he’ll regret this soon!”
Guo Shier rolled his eyes and said, “Nonsense. Everyone knows he’ll lose. What’s there to bet on?”
Boom!
In the blink of an eye, Halchi, who was sitting on the altar, was sent flying with a slap. That slap completely woke him up; he suddenly realized how foolish he had been—this stunningly beautiful woman was a truly formidable opponent.
Halchi immediately thought of escaping. Since reaching the eighth-tier altar, he had never been in such a predicament. It was obvious that this beautiful woman was far stronger than him, even by more than one tier. He couldn’t help but groan inwardly, “I’m so damn unlucky…” He dashed away in an attempt to flee.
Qi Wuzhen suddenly disappeared from his spot, and Halchi’s figure also gradually vanished from the air. At that moment, a crimson flame flashed by, and Halchi plummeted suddenly. He screamed, “What do you want?”
Wang Keer giggled, “Poor wretch, isn’t that obvious?”
Qi Wuzhen said coldly, “What do I want? To beat you up!”
Then came a barrage of punches, leaving Guo Shier and the others shivering with fear. It was far too violent—especially coming from a seemingly gentle and delicate-looking woman who fought with ruthless cruelty. Halchi’s screams filled the air as he was utterly overwhelmed.
Guo Shier covered his chest and said, “A berserk mother tyrannosaurus… Damn, this guy is really suffering… Poor thing, the altar’s even cracking… Huh? He’s putting away the altar. No way… He’s also a pervert. Is his body made of steel? How can he be so strong?”
Eagle Demon shook his head repeatedly, saying, “If I got hit once, I’d probably be reduced to ashes. This guy just screamed a few times—respect, I really admire him!”
The others watched and discussed, acting like onlookers.
Soon, Halchi learned his lesson. He stopped trying to escape far away and instead fought within a small range. If a master of the eighth-tier altar truly tried to avoid confrontation, Qi Wuzhen wouldn’t be able to do much to him—just using spiritual pressure wasn’t enough. At first, Halchi had been caught off guard because he hadn’t expected the opponent to be stronger than him. After all, he was also a master of the eighth-tier altar, so his strength wasn’t bad.
Halchi kept dodging. He noticed that the woman was extremely calm, fought with fierce brutality, and pursued him relentlessly. Filled with anger and fear, he finally couldn’t hold back and shouted, “You crazy woman! Will you ever stop?”
Qi Wuzhen replied coldly, “Never!”
Halchi cursed loudly but didn’t dare stop, continuing to run while cursing.
Guo Shier sighed, “It’s not easy for a woman to pursue a man.”
Wang Keer asked, “What do you mean?”
Guo Shier laughed awkwardly, touched his nose, and said, “It’s not interesting.” He was too lazy to argue with Wang Keer; watching the two fight could teach him a lot of skills, and he didn’t have time to talk to Wang Keer.
The battlefield kept shifting, and Guo Shier and the others kept chasing after it. Although they didn’t have to fight, it was still very difficult to keep up.
Halechi had nowhere to go—no way up or down. Finally, he went mad and roared, “Crazy woman, I’ll fight you to the death!”
Qi Wuzhen laughed instead. She said, “I’m not running anymore… Are you still a man? Come and fight me!”
Halechi charged forward with a howl. A master of the Eighth-Level Altar fighting with all his might had an absolutely fierce momentum, even making Guo Shier and the others in the distance shiver with fear. But although Halechi seemed fierce, halfway through his charge, he suddenly turned and flew away at lightning speed.
Eagle Demon was too stunned to speak, Luo Zhan rubbed his eyes hard, and Nan You murmured, “Is it real? He ran away again…”
Qi Wuzhen was also deceived. A master of the Eighth-Level Altar fighting desperately should have been guarded against, but before she could get ready, Halechi turned, making her shout in anger as she rushed after him.
Guo Shier said, “Chase after him! Damn, this guy is fun!”
After being shocked, Eagle Demon and the others burst into laughter. This guy still had such a trick up his sleeve—he was a master of the Eighth-Level Altar, the second true master they had ever seen. It was simply unbelievable. Everyone followed Guo Shier in pursuit; it would be foolish not to watch such excitement.
The enraged Qi Wuzhen was terrifying, even more so than a mother tyrannosaurus. She began to use fire. With a single fire sacrifice, she scared Halechi to the brink of despair, as the fire sacrifice could burn him from within, similar to how it burned the souls of the Black Symbol people.
Fortunately, Halechi had the Eighth-Level Altar, giving him extraordinary resistance, and he barely managed to withstand the power of the fire sacrifice. Everyone was amazed. Guo Shier and the others knew that Qi Wuzhen’s fire sacrifice could kill hundreds of thousands at once—it was a true deadly weapon, an extremely terrifying technique.
Halechi was covered in flames, scrambling around in disarray before finally managing to extinguish them. He roared, “Stop! Stop! You won. What do you want?” This time he didn’t run away because he finally realized that even if he couldn’t kill her, he could exhaust himself.
Qi Wuzhen was taken aback. She asked, “You’re not running?”
Halechi gave up hope and said, “I can’t escape… You can use fire sacrifices too. Who can stand that?”
Qi Wu Zhen really didn’t intend to kill Halechi. Ever since she regained clarity from her mental chaos, she had lost that murderous intent. Of course, if someone provoked her, killing wouldn’t bother her at all—she had reached a state where she could do whatever she wanted, with no one able to stop her.
Guo Shier and the others, seeing the two stop fighting, approached with some regret.
Halechi stared at Qi Wu Zhen with a complex expression. His peach-blossom eyes, though seductive, showed only helplessness. This woman was too ruthless; he had even harbored foolish thoughts at first, not even knowing how he would die. Yet she was so beautiful that even defeated by her, he couldn’t help but daydream, but he definitely wouldn’t dare act rashly again.
Qi Wu Zhen said coldly, “You… stay away!”
Halechi replied, “Beauty, I just asked for your name, and you’ve been chasing me for half a day—that’s too much!” He approached with a playful smile, acting shamelessly, no longer showing hostility or attempting to touch her.
Qi Wu Zhen shook her head. Since she didn’t plan to kill him, there was no need to remain hostile. She said, “You know why I hit you… Don’t give me another reason to hit you!”
Halechi rolled his eyes. This woman was truly domineering. But being stubborn, he immediately said, “Ah… oh… no, no… I’m always friendly to beauties.” As he spoke, his peach-blossom eyes kept blinking, seemingly lost in thought.
Halechi glanced around and called out, “Hey, you kids, come over.” After all, he was a master of the Eighth-Level Altar, far stronger than Guo Shier and the others.
Qi Wu Zhen glanced over. Halechi jumped in fright and quickly said, “I have no ill intentions.” Qi Wu Zhen stepped back, staying out of it and watching silently. Halechi had no doubt that any unfriendly move from his side would lead to another chase. He couldn’t help but smile bitterly—when had he become so pitiful?
By now, Guo Shier and the others weren’t afraid of Halechi either. With Qi Wu Zhen’s protection, they knew he wouldn’t dare act recklessly. They flew over cheerfully.
