Chapter 004: In Front and Behind

Reine’s body trembled. Her lips moved slowly, and after a moment, she heard her own cold voice.
“I don’t know anything!”

Du Fan’s hand reached her chest once again. He gently rubbed her swollen breasts, then smiled oddly and said, “Miss Reine, are you still unwilling to say anything? Or is testing me more important to you than anything else?”

“Kill me!” Reine suddenly said coldly. “If you don’t kill me now, you’ll regret it! As soon as I recover, I’ll tear you to pieces.”

“Tsk tsk tsk…”

Du Fan sighed, increasing the intensity of his movements, as if signaling something: “Oh… Miss Reine, you really have a lot of nerve—already wanting to kill me? Honestly, I’m so scared…”

His voice turned icy as he continued, “But if I’m not mistaken, you still want to test me, right? So how can you kill me? Don’t forget… I’m a pawn who can change fate. Killing me… doesn’t seem to be part of your high priest Ganon’s orders, does it?”

Reine remained silent for a while. Then, staring at Du Fan’s increasingly bold hands, she snarled, “Take your hands away! Aren’t you satisfied yet?”

Du Fan chuckled. “You’re right. Do shaman priests all have some kind of prophetic talent?”

As he spoke, he moved slightly, and Reine immediately saw the weapon still standing firm, moving slightly as if to show it wasn’t enough yet.

A flicker of emotion appeared in Reine’s eyes—fear, hovering between hatred and despair. Though fleeting, Du Fan quickly noticed it. He laughed heartily and said, “I see… Miss Reine, I finally know how to make you submit… Just one answer, right? I’m curious—will your mouth stay shut, or will I be more powerful? This is what they call a war between men and women!”

With a loud laugh, Du Fan ripped off all of Reine’s clothes and pushed her to the ground. This time, she didn’t even have the strength to tremble.

Without any foreplay, Du Fan pulled apart Reine’s legs and pushed inside her with ease.

A groan escaped from deep in Reine’s throat. Then she felt her whole body heating up, becoming wet without her even realizing it.

She hummed, it was still her own voice, yet not quite. Du Fan paused for a moment, his hand on her chest, and said with a smile, “Do you want to speak?” Ringtone didn’t answer, but her brows furrowed. Du Fan moved more vigorously, humming as he did, “Is it worth it? What exactly is worth such a price? You might be destroyed because of this—many women have died over this, but a shaman priestess is the first. I believe it won’t be hard to kill you, and in the future, I’ll have more to boast about: killing a shaman priestess who is also a barbarian princess, a prophet’s disciple, and a believer of the great god. What a wonderful thing that would be!” He tormented her mercilessly, destroying her body and tormenting her spirit, as if trying to utterly destroy her. But the more Du Fan spoke, the colder Ringtone seemed to become. Though her body was weak and limp, she still unconsciously moved in response to his actions, yet her gaze was utterly indifferent. She stared at Du Fan, filled with despair and anger. This look lost Du Fan’s interest. “I have no interest in a piece of wood.” He stopped moving but remained inside her, staring at her coldly. The killing intent in Du Fan’s eyes didn’t wane at all. He didn’t show any pity because of their relationship. Sensing his pause, Ringtone couldn’t help but glance at him. Facing his indifferent gaze, a few familiar words suddenly echoed in her ears. “…I could originally see your future…” “But… your future will become blurred from this moment onward…” “Your entire life will be entangled with that Roland man…” It seemed as if she suddenly understood something. My respected teacher, did you see all this all along? A sense of sorrow filled Ringtone’s heart, and the feeling of being betrayed lingered. She moved slightly, struggling to speak, “I’ll tell you…” Du Fan smiled slightly and said, “I like smart people… but not women who are too smart… You understand what I mean… It’s too late this time. Next time, don’t disappoint me!” With that, he moved a few more times, but she remained like wood. Du Fan frowned slightly—he wasn’t very interested in wood. An evil idea flashed through his mind. He pulled himself out and slowly stood up, his subtle mental power enveloping that elevated place. Pleasure surged, splashing all over her face…

When the music ends, everyone disperses; flowers fall and then bloom again… When it’s all over, does anyone regret it?
…
Du Fan took out a robe from his storage ring and put it on himself. After hesitating for a moment, he took out another one and threw it to Ringtone. Her face was clean, but there was still a lingering sense of lasciviousness.
Du Fan glanced at her indifferently and put on the robe without much care.
The ground was in disarray, with shades of crimson mixed with milky white, a testament to what had happened last night.
“Alright,” Du Fan said with a cold smirk. “So what now? Are you going to talk, or not? Personally, even though you’re dull-witted, I wouldn’t mind doing it again.”
Ringtone’s expression was strange, indistinguishable between sorrow and despair. After hesitating for a while, she said in a low voice, “In this Submerged Valley, there’s no other way but to go deeper… And you must have noticed too… the Submerged River has widened since last night. In a few days, when the full moon comes, the valley will be flooded by its waters, and then we’ll have nowhere to escape. Besides, without food or water, can we last that long?”
Du Fan sneered. He glanced at the Submerged River, which seemed to have risen a bit. From this, it seemed Ringtone wasn’t lying. He walked over, gently stroking her face, and said in a low voice, “Remember, I’m asking for a way to leave quickly. I’ve said it before—I have no interest in anything in this valley. What about the Abyssal Gate? I don’t even want to see it!”
Ringtone replied coldly, “Why should I lie to you now? If there were another exit, I would have told you long ago…”
“Is that so?” Du Fan stared at her. Her eyes were filled with determination, mixed with a hint of fear. After pondering for a moment, he realized there was a good chance she was telling the truth.
He hesitated for a while before saying gravely, “So what if we’re already in the valley? Do you know how to leave?”
Ringtone replied, “Near the Abyssal Gate, there’s a place that leads back to the altar of the Great Temple. That’s the only exit I know of, though it’s just a legend. I’m not even sure if it exists. But since the teacher sent you in, there must be a way to leave near the Abyssal Gate.”
“Is that really the case?” Du Fan snorted. “I just hope you’re not lying to me. Otherwise, you know better than anyone what the consequences will be…”
Ringtone slowly shook her head. “I’m not afraid of you anymore…”

Du Fan sneered, “You have not only the front but also the back. Think about what that means by yourself. But I can guarantee that you’ll suffer a hundred times more than you do now.”
Ringne’s expression changed, but she couldn’t speak.
Du Fan stared at her and said, “Very well… I’ll satisfy you now. Let’s go to that damned Abyss Gate together… Hmph, now that our goal is achieved, aren’t you happy?”
Ringne remained silent. She slowly tried to get up, but her legs gave way, and she fell again.
Du Fan bent down, picked her up, and strode toward the depths of the valley.
Suddenly, Ringne screamed, “Let go of me! Let go of me!”
Holding her, Du Fan sneered, “Why are you screaming? What part of your body haven’t I touched? Don’t worry. If anything dangerous happens, I’ll throw you down first!”
His darkness had appeared before Ringne, and now he hid nothing at all, speaking his true thoughts outright.
If this Submerged Valley was as terrifying as the barbarians said, what kind of Abyss Gate could there be inside? Whatever awaited them would definitely not be easy. If she wasn’t careful, her life might really be ruined!
Du Fan frowned as he thought this, but he kept walking. He knew well that in this place, with no food or water, if he didn’t find a way out, he would die of starvation even without encountering anything else. In that case, it might as well see what was inside—after all, with Miss Ringne as a backup, even death wouldn’t be lonely!
After walking for a while, the mountain walls on both sides opened up, and the path widened. The Submerged River flowed slowly in the middle of the valley, its destination unknown.
The path in the valley became uneven, with thin mist spreading ahead. It wasn’t so dark that one couldn’t see five feet ahead, but the further they went, the darker it became. Vision stretched only about ten steps before nothing could be seen.
“Damn, this is really weird,” Du Fan thought gloomily, slowing his pace slightly.
