Chapter 019: Superiority

“Nicholas…”
Alfred gently called Nicholas’s name, but Nicholas was as if possessed, staring blankly at the dazzling figure in the air, breathing rapidly and his body cold.
Although Alfred knew well that Nicholas was a masochist with not the slightest interest in women, seeing him in this state still filled him with anxiety.
What if he fell in love with this woman?
This woman could even move him!
What if she weren’t a woman but a man… what if her long hair were cut short and her chest bound…
At these thoughts, Alfred found his breathing quicken. He, who had never shown the slightest interest in women, now had the most primal reaction. He was stunned, not knowing how to deal with this situation.
At that moment, Nicholas, who had been in a daze, finally calmed down. He struggled to get up from Alfred’s arms and looked up with effort. After a long while, he murmured, “That abomination… that abomination… it’s actually that abomination…”
His intense gaze made Chenchen in the air notice him.
Chenchen bent down to look at him. He felt a flash of light before his eyes, unable to open them no matter what. Yet this only strengthened his suspicion.
“So that’s how it is… so that’s how it is…” Nicholas murmured, and as he spoke, a dark red hue appeared at the corners of his mouth.
Alfred watched him in confusion, calling his name softly to understand what was happening. But Nicholas closed his eyes and fainted again.
“That abomination… what does this mean?” Alfred racked his brain. He seemed to have heard this term somewhere but couldn’t recall where. Finally, his mind cleared as if a fog had lifted.
Looking up at the figure in the air, he suddenly understood everything.
Chenchen’s gaze swept over Green Dragon Isela’s entire body. Though in size, Chenchen was even smaller than one of Isela’s dragon claws, under her gaze, Isela felt as if she were completely transparent. She dared not breathe, her whole body trembling slightly.

This feeling was one I had only experienced before facing the powerful dragons. But why does this woman make me feel this way? Could she really be like those legendary dragon-slaying heroes?

The green dragon Isella burst into tears at that moment. She suddenly realized that she was about to become like all the dragons in legends who had been slain—becoming part of a story, used by the elders of the dragon race to teach the naive young dragons. Her scales would be stripped off one by one by this woman and turned into the strongest armor. Even her teeth, if infested with worms, would likely be pulled out to make dragon-tooth spears, which would fetch a high price at human auctions…

For the first time, Isella realized that she was truly a treasure in every sense…

She sighed inwardly. With great effort, she lifted her weak dragon tail and stared at the woman before her, ready to fight to the death!

Nonsense! Even if I, a noble dragon, am slain by a despicable human, I will not give up my dignity. If I really become this woman’s mount, I won’t even have a chance to date!

You know, a dragon reduced to a mount loses all its power!

Chenchen watched the strange green dragon’s face, whose expressions kept changing. Although it was difficult for a dragon to form any expression given its face shape, it kept gritting its teeth as if making some decision.

Yet, at that moment, it barely managed to lift its tail, seemingly determined to fight to the end.

Chenchen found it increasingly interesting. Her interest in taming this dragon grew even more!

“What? It seems you’re planning to refuse my request?”

Isella grinned, her huge teeth grinding against each other. Now fully resolved to die, though still trembling slightly, she said proudly, “Wretched human! Though you are indeed powerful—the strongest I’ve ever met in my life… so what? If I refuse your request, do you really dare kill me? You should know that if you kill me, you’ll be opposing the five guardian dragons. Can you handle their relentless pursuit?”

“The Five Guardian Dragons?” Chenchen seemed to remember something and snorted coldly. “You’re just a green dragon. Even if I kill you here, who will know? The pursuit by the Five Guardian Dragons? Ridiculous! Even if the dragon clan’s leader’s head is kicked by a pig, would they go to such lengths for a worthless fool like you who can’t even defeat humans? Being defeated by humans—is that something honorable for dragons?”
Ithela’s heart pounded violently. Though her mind wasn’t very sharp, she knew Chenchen was likely telling the truth. If she died here under mysterious circumstances, who would know? And even if they did, would anyone stand up for her? After all, Ithela had been asleep for a thousand years! Who knew which worthless one was now the dragon clan’s leader?
The more Ithela thought about it, the more scared she became. But under no circumstances would she allow herself to be made into a mount.
She roared angrily, flapped her wings violently, and flew back several meters before diving at Chenchen in the sky with a gust of wind.
Chenchen smiled seductively. She twisted her hands slightly, and the holy flame in her hands condensed into a wall-like barrier. Then, with another wave of her hand, magic surged, creating several tornadoes along with massive wind blades that crashed down on Ithela without warning.
Ithela sneered inwardly. If you had used that holy flame before, maybe I would have feared you a bit. But now you’re using magic? Do you really think our green dragons’ magic immunity is just an illusion?
Before she could finish thinking, Ithela suddenly found herself lifted by a strong wind and slammed back to the ground with a “thud.”
“Boom—”
Ithela felt as though all her bones might shatter from the impact. Her body hit the ground of the palace, crushing countless bricks into fragments while leaving her body numb.
It was then that the green dragon Ithela finally realized that although magic couldn’t directly harm her, a combination of wind magic spells could indeed blow her from the east to the west of the Roland Continent.
She struggled to turn over, shaking her huge head. Her mind swam, making it hard for her to stand steadily.
The pressure coming from above was barely noticeable, but it still filled the great Ithela with fear. Her mind was confused, and she didn’t know what to do.

Chenchen seemed unwilling to give it even a moment’s rest. Without forming any seals with her hands or chanting any magic spells, she waved her hand, and various spells appeared simultaneously—truly a grand display of magic. Countless fireballs, wind blades, ice spikes, lightning, and falling rocks were all directed at Isella in waves. Each time she managed to get back on her feet, she was knocked down again. Although these spells couldn’t inflict any real damage on Isella, they caused her extreme pain. Her whole body went numb and weak; this torment was a hundred times worse than being killed outright. Isella was furious! She was finally angry again! Anger made her lose her sanity and made her forget that the woman before her was by no means someone she could deal with! A long dragon roar echoed through the cave. With a “boom,” all the spells were sent flying, scattering everywhere in the cave and causing chaos wherever they landed—utterly devastating. With rocks flying and spells filling the air, Isella rose into the sky in a fit of rage. Her massive body still exuded a terrifying aura. But before she could circle once in the air, Chenchen smiled again. This time, she gently pointed, and a silver holy flame separated itself and wrapped around Isella’s wings. Isella let out a scream as her wings lost all strength, as if torn away forcefully, and she plummeted downward. But before she could hit the ground, Chenchen suddenly appeared beneath her. The holy flame around her contracted, not leaking a single bit of energy. Then she smiled gently and pointed at Isella. Another trace of combat energy flowed into Isella’s body. She screamed again as her huge body was flung away, giving her the illusion that she was ascending to heaven. But an illusion is still an illusion—reality is often cruel. Just as Isella closed her eyes slightly, that terrifying figure reappeared in her sight. Before she could scream again, Chenchen suddenly spun in midair, lifting her slender legs lightly. Isella felt a severe pain in her abdomen, almost forcing her to vomit everything she had eaten thousands of years ago.
