Chapter 113

The old Russian couldn’t believe that the “Chinese pigs” he usually saw as inferior could betray him. He stared at the man with wide eyes, blood streaming continuously from the two holes in his abdomen. His grip on the man’s hand loosened unconsciously. Fearing he might still pose a problem if left alive, the man shot him in the head once more before rushing into the woods.
“The old Russian ran!” one of the Blood Killers shouted, firing at the speeding car. Jiang Sen had already seen Yevgeny get into the car but didn’t stop him. Xie Wendong had said when they arrived that Yevgeny was to be dealt with by him.
Watching the car drive farther away, Jiang Sen smirked coldly and muttered to himself, “I can’t let him get away so easily. I need to add something more!” With that, he raised his gun and fired at the car as it neared a turn.
“Bang!” Sparks flew from the barrel as the bullet, glowing red, struck the car’s tire. As the car disappeared slowly in a curve, Jiang Sen blew on the smoke from the gun barrel and chuckled, “I hope these two won’t die too miserably soon.”
Standing nearby, Golden Eye praised, “Impressive! Great marksmanship! But it’s strange if those two don’t suffer. Can Brother Dong really let them leave peacefully?!” He had been with Xie Wendong for some time and knew quite a bit about his personality. Over time, he understood an illogical truth: those who opposed him never ended up well, and these two nearly cost him a brother—so one could imagine their fate.
“Mm!” Jiang Sen nodded and glanced back at the scene. By now, the gunshots had stopped, and the battle was essentially over. Of the fifty-some members of the Tiger Gang, some were dead, some had fled, and the rest were lying injured and groaning. Jiang Sen counted the men he brought with him—none were hurt—and felt proud. He proudly put away his gun. This ambush was a huge success; the Tiger Gang was caught off guard, with less than ten of their elite members escaping.
Golden Eye asked, “Lao Sen, what about these injured?” Just as he finished speaking, the sound of police sirens came from below the mountain, approaching rapidly. Jiang Sen checked his watch and complained, “Why is Liu Dexin in such a hurry? He’s already up here so fast!” Then he took out his phone and called Liu Dexin, “I told you, Director Liu, to wait half an hour. Why did you come up so quickly?”
“Hehe, it’s fine! I heard the gunshots stop up there and thought I’d come take a look!” The voice on the other end sounded excited. Liu Dexin had reason to be happy—he had just taken office as police director, and now he could crack down on the Tiger Gang, a major achievement that would earn him high praise from provincial leaders.

Jiang Sen shook his head secretly and said, “Wait ten more minutes; there are still some things unresolved!”
“Okay! No problem. I’ll take people up there again in a bit!” Liu Dexin agreed promptly and told the police officers with him to stop the cars. The officers found it strange, but since he was the chief, no one dared ignore his orders. They all stopped their cars and sat inside, smoking boredly.
Jiang Sen hung up the phone and said to everyone, “Take care of all the injured. Don’t leave any survivors. A knife will do.”
The people on either side responded and drew their military knives, checking each of the fallen for signs of life. If anyone was still breathing, they would go over and finish them off with another stab.
Yevgeny and Qin Songjun drove desperately forward in a car with one flat tire. Both knew that making it back to the villa alive would already be a victory. There were over a dozen of their own men inside, and the location of the villa made it difficult to attack, so they weren’t afraid of a forceful assault. Yevgeny kept urging, “Drive faster! If the pursuers catch up, we’ll all die here!”
“I fucking know! You don’t realize we’ve lost a tire? Do you want to get there quickly?!” Qin Songjun was even more anxious. Ignoring the fact that the other man was his direct superior, he shouted loudly.
Yevgeny felt resentment in his heart and silently resolved that if they survived this, he would kill this kid no matter what. Qin Songjun’s courage was growing by the day; who knew if he might rebel someday! Qin Songjun also had his own plans. He was tired of this old Russian boss giving him orders and acting supremely arrogant. He thought about finding an opportunity to kill Yevgeny later; this would be a good chance to settle things with his battle axe as well.
With their own ulterior motives, the two drove the three-wheeled car back to the villa. Seeing the villa in the distance, they both breathed a sigh of relief. As he drove, Qin Songjun slowly reached for the pistol at his waist. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw that Yevgeny was focused ahead, so he secretly took out his pistol and aimed it at Yevgeny’s lower abdomen.
Since he was driving with one hand, the car slowed down. Yevgeny turned around angrily and said, “What’s going on? Drive faster…!” He didn’t finish his sentence because what he saw was the dark barrel of a gun and Qin Songjun’s murderous gaze. Yevgeny trembled inwardly, realizing something was wrong. He guessed Qin Songjun intended to kill him but pretended to be confused and asked, “Qin, what do you mean by this?”

Qin Songjun, seeing that the other party had noticed him, simply stopped the car and used the barrel of the gun to strike Yevgeny’s head, shouting harshly, “What do you mean? You’re such a smart guy—how could you not understand what I mean? Mr. Yevgeny, let me tell you, I’ve had enough of you and your damned Russian lackeys. Today, this suffering will finally end. I’ll miss your ‘guidance’!” Qin Songjun’s finger slowly moved toward the trigger.

Sweat appeared on Yevgeny’s forehead as he hurriedly said, “Wait… wait, listen to my explanation. I’m…”

“Slap!” Qin Songjun slapped him across the face and sneered triumphantly, “Go explain in hell!”

Yevgeny’s gaze shifted toward Qin Songjun’s back and, in surprise, he exclaimed, “Xie Wendong!”

“Huh?” Qin Songjun panicked and quickly turned around, but there was nothing behind him—no one in sight. Realizing he had been tricked, he tried to pull the trigger, but it was too late. Taking advantage of his distraction, Yevgeny grabbed his wrist and pulled it upward sharply. “Bang!” A gunshot rang out as the bullet flew past Yevgeny’s head. Yevgeny screamed, gripping Qin Songjun’s wrist with one hand and punching him in the stomach with the other.

The punch was powerful, and driven by desperation, Yevgeny exerted all his strength, causing Qin Songjun to cry out in pain and curl up in pain. Yevgeny tried to snatch the gun, but Qin Songjun held on tightly, and after struggling for a while, he failed.

The pain stimulated Qin Songjun’s nerves, prompting him to instinctively pull the trigger repeatedly. Bang after bang echoed, but unfortunately, Yevgeny kept holding his wrist, so the bullets flew into the air, punching holes in the car roof. By then, all the bullets in the gun were used up. Qin Songjun finally realized what was happening and struggled with Yevgeny, trading punches and kicks, even using their teeth, determined not to stop until one of them died. The two engaged in a brutal fight inside the cramped car.

In less than five minutes, both of them were covered in blood, their faces distorted. Their fighting slowed down as they gasped for breath, but neither intended to stop.

“Clap, clap!” Applause came from outside the car, followed by a deep voice saying, “Haha, great! What a wonderful show of dogs fighting each other! If time allowed, I really would have liked to watch longer!”

The sound wasn’t loud, but it was like a thunderclap in the car where the two were fighting. They both stopped fighting instantly and turned toward the source of the sound. Less than a dozen people emerged from the dense forest. The leader was no older than twenty, though upon closer inspection, he seemed to be under thirty. His gentle yet domineering aura made it hard to determine his exact age. He was dressed in a tight black suit with a stand-up collar (also known as a Zhongshan suit), and his black leather gloves held a silver pistol. His face appeared ordinary, but his narrow eyes made his features stand out. He was smiling, his narrow eyes narrowed into slits, yet that couldn’t hide the sharpness in them.
Yevgeny and Qin Songjun almost simultaneously exclaimed, “Xie Wendong?!”
