Chapter 79: Kelly Is Saved

Hamilton is a large industrial city, and its nights are not as starry as those in most other Canadian cities. Fortunately, the moon is usually visible here, though sometimes it appears hazy. Shrouded in various industrial emissions, the city often has a scene of few stars and a bright moon.

It was another seemingly peaceful night, with pale moonlight gently pouring down, casting a hazy glow over the entire city.

Ye Feng and Long Tian hid quietly in the bushes outside the ancient castle, patiently waiting for the vampire to leave.

As the night deepened, the temperature in the rural outskirts dropped faster than in the city filled with tall buildings. Ye Feng and Long Tian also felt a slight chill.

Just as Ye Feng couldn’t help but check the time on his watch, the door of the ancient castle opened, and a handsome man wrapped in a trench coat stepped out.

Ye Feng saw the time on his watch: 11:24:32.

Wearing his detection glasses, he saw the purple light dot indicating danger moving away quickly. Then he nodded at Long Tian. “Remember the 3D diagram of this castle? Kelly is still in that windowless room from before. I’ll climb up to the bathroom window on the third floor, find her room, and then we’ll leave through the bathroom. It’s the fastest way! Wait for us under that bathroom window. If that guy comes back, remember to press the vibration button.”

After saying that, Ye Feng took out the ring from his pocket and put it on his finger. Long Tian immediately put on the ring and followed him.

Easily climbing up to the bathroom on the third floor, Ye Feng used a chemical agent to dissolve the glass and slipped inside silently.

Then, following the memory of the 3D diagram he had drawn, he found Kelly’s room.

Without knocking, he pushed the door open.

Kelly was puzzled as the door suddenly opened—no knocking, no one there, just the door opening on its own.

“Kelly, it’s Ye Feng. Don’t speak. There might be cameras in this house. Just do as I say!” A soft voice came to Kelly’s ears, startling her slightly. But upon hearing Ye Feng’s words, she quickly calmed down and pretended nothing had happened.

“Go to the bathroom now. I’ll give you something in a moment—a ring. Once you put it on, you’ll become invisible just like me. When the time comes, jump out of the window; someone will be waiting to catch you, and I’ll jump down too. Then we’ll run in the northeast direction. We won’t be able to see each other. Meet me in the bathroom on the tenth floor of the Hilton Hotel! Before that, never take off the ring, and try not to leave any traces!” After saying this, Ye Feng patted Kelly on the back.

Kelly walked toward the door calmly, then left the room and headed for the bathroom.

“Miss Kelly, is there something wrong?” At that moment, a maid suddenly appeared in the hallway, watching Kelly warily.

Kelly replied coldly, “The bathroom!”

She passed her by, opened the bathroom door, and felt someone tap her back—she knew Ye Feng had followed in. She closed the bathroom door.

Then a ring was shoved into her left hand.

“Put it on and jump out of this window!” Ye Feng’s voice came again.

Kelly put on the ring without hesitation.

“Good. I can no longer see you. Jump now!” It was Ye Feng’s voice.

Kelly glanced at the fully open window and jumped right out.

“Miss Kelly, are you done?” A gentle knocking came from the door at that moment.

Ye Feng ignored it and jumped out as well.

“Let’s go!” Ye Feng whispered.

“Mm!”

“Understood!”

Two replies followed, and the three of them left without leaving any trace.

“Miss Kelly, it’s been ten minutes. If you don’t speak up, I’m going to break in!” The maid at the bathroom door knocked hard on it. “I’ll count to three. If you still don’t respond, I’ll assume you’re no longer in the bathroom. Three, two, one!”

The bathroom door was kicked open. The maid stared in shock at the empty bathroom, her gaze finally falling on the window.

“Miss Kelly has escaped!” The maid immediately turned around and shouted loudly. “Go inform Lord Count right away!”

“Where did she escape?” The head guard stepped forward and asked.

“She jumped out of the bathroom window,” the maid pointed at the bathroom.

A few guards rushed into the bathroom. The head guard crouched on the windowsill and looked into the distance but saw nothing. He then jumped down from the windowsill.

After landing, he stood up and looked around, but found nothing. Then he raised his head and said to the guards, “Search the area! Leave one person here to watch the video recordings on the monitors with me!”

“What? Miss Kelly has escaped?” The young count threw the two unconscious Eastern women he was holding onto the ground. “You idiots!!! I was gone for less than an hour, and this happens? Couldn’t you all keep an eye on her?”
“My lord, I’ve watched the surveillance footage. She disappeared within three seconds after entering the bathroom. There’s no record of her jumping out of the third floor. And something strange—the glass in that window was corroded by strong acid, and the window was opened from the outside. The footage shows the glass being corroded and the window being opened, but no one else is visible, aside from those two events. Also, the door to the bathroom and Miss Kelly’s room were both opened for no reason,” explained the head guard.
“That’s easy to explain—she can become invisible! And from your description, it seems she can not only make herself invisible but also make others invisible as well!” A fierce look flashed in the eyes of the young vampire count. “It seems I, Nicholas, greatly underestimated you all before… Fortunately, I now have new advantages…”
