Chapter 18: Bastards
Cormer lazily sat in the soft chair, unwilling to move. The pleasure that followed was also a kind of enjoyment. Tracy knelt before him, gently and attentively tidying his clothes, her breasts still exposed as she remained in the aftermath of orgasm. The two mounds on her chest were still prominently raised, prompting Cormer to pinch them firmly.
Tracy returned the gaze with a coy look, making Cormer sigh inwardly. If this woman could truly remain faithful, she would undoubtedly be his perfect partner—cold and reserved in public, passionate in bed, and cunning in her schemes. It was a shame…
Neither Vero nor Lenta could compare to her. Vero didn’t even need considering, and as for Lenta, she might rival her in cunning and beauty, but what about the rest? Cormer thought strangely—how could one know the true taste without trying? Perhaps he was too conservative; only through selection could the brightest pearls be found.
Tracy skillfully displayed her charm. After finishing tidying Cormer’s clothes, she began to dress herself. Her bell-shaped dress was slightly wrinkled from Cormer’s rough handling. Such noble attire wasn’t really suitable for secret affairs, but Tracy hadn’t expected Cormer’s passion to flare up so quickly, leaving her no choice but to endure this bout of madness.
Fastening the straps behind her corset was difficult, even for a skillful and experienced maid, but later, buttons were invented, making it much easier. In front of Cormer, Tracy lifted her corset and fastened the buttons one by one. Watching those breasts disappear beneath the corset, Cormer couldn’t help but sigh.
Her bare, raised buttocks looked exceptionally tempting from the side. Tracy pushed this allure to the extreme. Her long, slender legs appeared especially fair and delicate under the bright sunlight outside. Her light pubic hair was neatly trimmed, and her one-piece underwear was lightly pulled up to her abdomen, covering her most alluring parts. A pink ribbon was tied into a bow in front of Cormer, with every movement sparking endless fantasies in him.
Like the most dignified lady, Tracy sat gracefully across from Cormer. He rested his chin in his hand, gazing at her. Under his gaze, she remained calm, her slightly flushed cheeks resembling those painted with rouge. At this moment, it was impossible to imagine her wild appearance when she raised her hips on the desk—she was even more chaste than a royal princess.
One hand fiddled with the pencil in it; after the physiological impulse, he had calmed down. Komer needed to consider this rather untroublesome problem at hand—what did the other party want? He believed Tracy was a smart and rational person; unrealistic ideas had long been discarded for her after going through so much.
“Tracy, if you like living in the Caucasus, you can stay here forever.” After a long while, Komer knew what to say.
“Are you serious?” A faint smile appeared on Tracy’s face, tinged with slight mockery.
“What do you mean?”
“Komer, this place isn’t suitable for me. I know I’m no longer the Tracy you once knew in your eyes, and I don’t expect to go back to how I was before. Ugru is your favorite place to stay—all the women around you are here, like that priest and that half-elf red-haired assassin. Maybe Lenta and Vero will be here too in the future. Will they all live here? Haven’t you thought about that?”
Komer frowned. “What do you mean…?”
“I don’t belong here. I became Baroness Flor one month ago. My father abandoned me to a down-and-out man who wanted to improve his status. I was just an accessory to him; he only needed my title. Now I have no home. If you really still feel a trace of pity for me, please let me leave Nicosia.” Tracy’s expression was calm, as if she were recounting something unrelated to her.
“Do you want to go to Flanders or the Southern Central Seas?” Komer scratched his head. I see.
“Have you already set your sights on the Southern Central Seas?” Tracy was stunned for a moment before a glimmer of joy appeared in her eyes. It would be best to avoid all traces of where she had once lived, but she also knew Flanders might have other plans for Komer. She never expected too much.
“Hmm, I have some properties in Sparta,” Komer hesitated.
“If I can live there, that would be ideal. The sunshine, forests, and fresh air of the Southern Central Seas might be the best remedy for me to forget everything from the past.” The joy on Tracy’s face was genuine.
“Then go to Athens. I think that’s the best choice for you. Cotton Castle can provide you with a comfortable environment.” Komer nodded.
“Well, I’ll go, and I won’t return to Nicosia ever again. But before that, I need to finish one thing.” Tears welled in Tricia’s eyes, and her cheeks turned bright red.
“What thing?” Comer asked doubtfully. What more did this woman want?
“Give me a child.”
“Huh?” Comer was shocked, then calmed down. “Do you really need that?”
“Comer, my heart is like water—I have no hope left. Can’t you even give me that little hope? Or do you think my body is so tainted and dirty?” Tricia spoke passionately.
“Oh, Tricia, calm down.” Comer frowned. Adultery wasn’t uncommon among nobles, but having a child for them required careful consideration—otherwise, it would only bring ridicule and trouble. Thankfully, Tricia was already married, which made things much better. Whether the public knew or not, at least there was a nominal cover. Otherwise, having an unmarried noblewoman bear a child for them would be unacceptable in society. “You should know I might not be able to give him or her any status.”
“A bastard?” Tricia laughed, somewhat sadly. “What else could I hope for? I don’t want anything—just something to hold onto. As for the future, I haven’t thought that far ahead.”
Haven’t thought that far ahead? Yes, who could possibly plan for more than a decade ahead? Comer nodded sighingly.
“Did you agree?” The joy on Tricia’s face was unmistakable. “Really?”
For a moment, Comer seemed to be back a few years earlier. He tried to suppress his emotions. “Remember, I haven’t promised you anything else. Perhaps the South is the best fit for you.”
