Chapter Seventeen: Water Spilled Can’t Be Gathered Back
Komer decided to leave the matter of developing Izmel to Puber, as dealing with those annoying Giza people was best handled by someone who was even more like a Giza person—after all, Puber enjoyed bargaining with them as long as it brought maximum benefits to the Caucasus. Komer had no objection to Puber using any means necessary.
Given the urgency of developing Izmel, Puber’s negotiations with the Laurent family progressed fairly smoothly. Perhaps realizing they would rely more on Homer and the Caucasus in the future, the Laurent family didn’t haggle as much as usual in their dealings with the Caucasus. Once the negotiations succeeded, the Giza people’s efficiency was astonishing—large amounts of funds and advanced mining equipment seemed to have been prepared in advance and poured into Izmel. Even the usually demanding Puber admitted that if local merchants were involved, it would already be a miracle if production could start within two months. This showed just how thorough the Laurent family’s preliminary preparations had been.
“Move aside!” A cold and arrogant voice could be heard from afar even inside Komer’s study. A gloomy expression flashed across Komer’s face for a moment before he returned to his usual calm and polite demeanor.
“What’s the matter?” Komer asked as he walked to the entrance.
“My lord, Miss Tracy requests to see you. I’ve already told her you’re working and don’t want to see anyone. But she…” It was Komer’s new secretary, Finitz, who blocked the way. She had finally replaced those clumsy half-orc guards as Komer’s closest confidant in his daily work, much to the delight of all those in the lord’s manor and officials and merchants who dealt with it frequently.
“Oh, Miss Tracy is a special exception. Let her in. And close the door behind her,” Komer said with a faint smile, leaning elegantly against the doorpost. Though separated by a courtyard, it seemed he could see Finitz’s pouted lips from anger.
Tracy, though looking somewhat disheveled, still wore her usual exquisite and luxurious clothes. But upon closer inspection, it was clear these styles had been fashionable a year or two ago. For a noble who had lost her territory, frugality wasn’t an option, but for someone like Tracy, who had lost all value in Philip’s eyes and could even be considered the culprit, it was unrealistic to expect much support from her father.
After the battle of Homer, Comer lifted Tracy’s house arrest. He didn’t care about her whereabouts; her fate meant nothing to him anymore. Mahagumi’s intelligence suggested she had left Matdan and returned to Cyprus, but the dire conditions there made it impossible for Tracy to stay. A woman who had lost everything was highly likely to end up as a prostitute. Tracy could only head north in search of her father, but it was obvious she found little worth staying for with him—the current situation proved that.
When Tracy stood in the middle of the study, Comer had already returned to the soft chair behind the desk. Undeniably, Comer still felt a special attraction to this woman’s body. Even he found himself somewhat despicable—surrounded by women like Lome, Grace, and Eve, all within reach if he wished. Even Kakiya could be tasted if he really wanted to. Yet he couldn’t deny his feelings. As the first woman he had truly loved, her delicate and graceful figure still appeared in his mind from time to time.
The two simply stared at each other in silence. The painful and pitiful look in Tracy’s eyes could no longer melt the ice in Comer’s heart. Though he pretended to be moved on the surface, he knew well that what “moved” him was merely his lust, while his heart had long been sealed beneath that thick layer of ice.
“Tracy, what’s wrong? Is there anything you need my help with?” Comer broke the silence.
Taking a deep breath, Tracy seemed to be deliberately suppressing her emotions. She untied the cloak behind her and spun gracefully, as if showing off her still slender figure, hoping to move Comer in this way. Comer watched quietly without saying much.
“Comer, if we stay together forever, should I be the mistress of this place?”
Hearing such a question, Comer felt a pang in his heart; his wounds seemed to tear open again, bleeding slowly. That foolish woman—asking such a question at a time like this served only to prove her naivety and innocence, achieving nothing else.
“Hmm, that assumption doesn’t exist, so there’s no point in discussing anything further. I’m just giving you a satisfactory answer.”
“I mean, it’s just a hypothetical situation.”
“Maybe. Anything can happen. Maybe I won’t even become the lord here.”
Cormer’s indifferent reply clearly disappointed Tracy. She hadn’t gotten what she wanted, but she hadn’t realized how wrong her approach was. In these changed times, still harboring such delusions—she was truly being too wishful.
“Are you not very welcoming to me?”
“Well, not exactly. I’m welcoming to all friends who come.” Cormer’s reply was somewhat perfunctory and formulaic.
Tracy felt insulted. She gently bit her lip. Everything had really changed; nothing was the same anymore. What exactly did she want from this trip? Even Tracy herself was confused. She didn’t know how she had ended up on a ship to the Caucasus, only realizing in Ugru that she was like an orphan abandoned by the whole world.
Cormer silently observed the woman. She must have had some appeal to have once driven him crazy with passion. Her slightly tousled brown hair remained soft and shiny, still exuding a rich fragrance. Though a bit gaunt, her pitiful appearance only served to arouse men’s compassion—except for Cormer. Her bell-shaped dress cinched her waist tightly, emphasizing the delicacy of her slender figure against the full skirt. Her half-revealing corset exposed half of her breast. Though her cleavage wasn’t as deep as Grace’s or Shatima’s, her soft, fair skin reminded Cormer of the wonderful times when he would quietly rest his face there.
“You were once a beautiful woman—why become a thief?” Who had told him that? Cormer pondered, unable to recall.
Water spilled can’t be gathered back. Cormer was filled with mixed emotions at that moment. He knew he might be moved by some woman now, but certainly not her. That fatal wound was like a venomous sting deeply embedded in his heart. Even though the sting had been removed, under certain circumstances, the venom would ferment like wine, making him unable to control himself.
“It seems I shouldn’t have come.” With a soft sigh, a trace of tears appeared in Tracy’s eyes. Her lonely figure turned away, seemingly triggering memories in Cormer.
“Why say that? The Caucasus welcomes anyone who loves it.” Even Cormer himself didn’t know why he uttered such seemingly foolish words.
A bright spark leaped suddenly in her eyes, as if a withered flower had been nourished by rain and quickly regained its vitality. With that gaze from Tracy, even Komer knew it was impossible for them to have the same relationship as before, yet instinctively he felt that something might happen between them—something far more than just a purely physical release. Seeming to notice the complex emotions in Komer’s eyes, Tracy seized the opportunity and rushed at him like a deer, trying to climb into his arms. Komer’s stiff hands seemed unable to lift, but eventually they opened. A playful idea suddenly crossed his mind: what would it be like if he suddenly kicked her to the ground? The familiar scent filling his nostrils made it hard for him to control his desire. Tracy’s skillful tongue moved near his ear. He wanted to avoid it—sex was one thing, but love was another—but her persistent attempts finally drove him over the edge. Could sex and love truly be separated? At least at that moment, it seemed difficult. It seemed Komer also wanted to relive those most thrilling moments from the past. Their mouths finally met, and greedy breaths exchanged between them. Komer’s hands skillfully moved along the straps behind Tracy’s back, loosening her corset. Roughly, he pulled down the straps hanging from her bare shoulders, revealing her full, pink breasts, still shining with an alluring glow. He roughly handled her firm breasts, as if trying to regain what had been lost in the past. Though he knew it was impossible, recreating those memories to the greatest extent seemed like a wonderful feeling. Tracy also noticed that Komer was different from before, but she no longer had much room for thought. She frantically catered to his roughness, allowing his hands to touch her delicate breasts. Soon, Komer was no longer satisfied with just oral pleasure—the bell-shaped dress was too much of a hindrance. But taking off this symbol of noblewomanhood took too much time. He could only reach under the dress. Fortunately, the dress was long enough, and women generally didn’t wear real underwear underneath. He casually loosened the straps of Tracy’s one-piece underwear tied around her waist, easily leaving her lower body completely bare.
Tracy was somewhat surprised as Komer’s movements suddenly became gentle and light at that moment. She felt both proud and touched, though she had no idea what was going through Komer’s mind. Komer didn’t revert to the tenderness he used to have, as Tracy had thought; he simply felt the need for a pleasant indulgence, and overly rough actions would reduce the comfort of that indulgence. His fingers moved skillfully beneath her bell-shaped dress, touching her firm and smooth buttocks. As the old saying goes, beauty—even after all these years—Tracy’s body still held great allure. Even Komer found it strange; could he really still be obsessed with his first love? Amid Tracy’s screams, Komer pressed her against the large, sturdy desk. Lying there, Tracy never expected him to do this here in this way. The large, bright glass windows allowed her to see everything around, and through them she could even spot the half-orc guards patrolling not far away. She was completely naked from waist up, with only the hem of her dress covering her lower body, lying there in the lord’s solemn study, her bare buttocks raised high like those of a slave awaiting her master’s favor. The intense sense of shame made Tracy want to struggle, but Komer, now fully aroused, wouldn’t tolerate any resistance. Two heavy slaps on her buttocks echoed loudly in the study, causing Tracy to scream. But Komer didn’t give her a chance—hot thrusts followed. Tracy’s screams stopped after just a second as a thick, substantial sensation filled her body. Pleasure rushed through every nerve in her body. Komer wasn’t this strong in her memory; compared to him, Hoffman seemed more like a preschool child. Heavy breathing and joyful moans echoed in the study for a long time. Even the orioles outside seemed to sense the intense passion, tilting their heads in surprise as they watched this lewd act inside. The heavy oak desk seemed unable to bear the intensity of their passion, creaking intermittently. Komer felt intense contractions in Tracy’s vagina, along with a strong suction effect that brought him an overwhelming sense of pleasure.
With a deep roar, Komer refused to hold back. He knew Tracy must have something in mind this time, but he didn’t want to think further about what she wanted. With all the cards in his hands, she seemed insignificant now. After the final, satisfying strike, Komer comfortably straddled Tracy, letting his tense body relax suddenly. Though the old feelings weren’t restored, the pleasure of conquest was still worth savoring.
