Chapter 574: Legendary Void Creatures

Shortly after the establishment of the Divine Kingdom, its first battle arrived. Aside from the three goddesses, everyone else, including the two true gods Donald and Charlie, was extremely excited.

Speaking of void creatures, the interstellar void was like an ocean, and these beings were akin to sharks in that sea. Once they detected the existence of a Divine Kingdom, especially one that had been damaged, they would swarm over like sharks drawn to the scent of blood.

The voids between the Outer Realm, the Main Material Realm, and the Inner Realm were merely shallow waters to them; only smaller void creatures would venture there.

The larger the void creature, the stronger its power. This was because they were semi-physical, semi-spiritual beings. While ordinary creatures might have small bodies but powerful souls, void creatures, whose bodies were part of their souls, could not have such a situation.

Even if they were just void creatures below the legendary level, in large numbers, it would be difficult for a newly ascended true god to handle them. Moreover, legendary-level void creatures usually possessed unique innate abilities. Their massive sizes alone made their strength far exceed that of ordinary legendary warriors. Unless they had three or five allies to help, it would be hard for ordinary lower gods, who had exhausted much of their divine power during the process of ascending to a Divine Kingdom, to cope with such a situation.

But Donald not only retained his full strength from ascending to his throne but also had the aid of three powerful goddesses and many semi-god-level legendary warriors. Such a situation couldn’t scare them.

“Then leave the three with the strongest auras to us!”

Donald exchanged glances with Charlie and Uther. Aside from himself and the three goddesses, these two were the strongest here and perfect companions for him in battle.

Although Charlie only sent his Winter avatar into his Divine Kingdom, his true form remained in Dalaran due to restrictions of the main world. Yet he gave his true divine weapon, the Ice Spear, to his avatar, so despite being a semi-god avatar, its combat power was not much weaker than his true form.

As for Uther, having mastered the essence of holy light, his strength far surpassed that of ordinary demigods. He could easily become a true god at any time if he wished to do so. However, following Donald’s advice, he preferred not to rely heavily on holy light to achieve godhood, as that would limit his potential for further growth. Instead, he sought to acquire powers derived from his own understanding, so he kept delaying the process of forming a true godly essence. Yet in terms of combat strength, he could still rival some weaker newly risen gods.

To exert their combat abilities undisturbed in the void, one needed at least demigod-level strength. Thus, the remaining two targets, who seemed weaker, were assigned to Abyssal Demon Forger Amps and the God of Adventure and Seafaring, Ciri. The former was a demigod demon creature naturally skilled in battle, while the latter, though weakened after leaving his domain, still retained mid-tier demigod strength thanks to a true divine artifact bestowed by Donald.

Donald, in his true form, remained in the core of the divine kingdom, controlling everything while his guardian avatar accompanied the three goddesses. After arranging everything, the Avatar of Divine Retribution, wielding Wrath of Nature, left the divine kingdom along with Charlie and Uther to go into battle. He had another Hunter of Demons avatar left behind in the divine kingdom to prevent any accidents.

Monsters of legendary void creatures usually had enormous sizes. If they entered the divine kingdom, they could easily cause unnecessary destruction, requiring significant divine power to repair. Therefore, true gods would avoid fighting such creatures inside the divine kingdom unless necessary.

After leaving the spatial barrier of the divine kingdom, Donald and the other four felt their bodies become weightless. Aside from Donald and Charlie, the two true gods who had experience entering the void, the other three demigods needed some time to adapt. Fortunately, the five legendary void creatures only appeared close due to their massive sizes; in reality, they were still some distance away from the divine kingdom, giving the three demigods enough time to adjust to the void environment.

“Are you ready?” Donald asked Amps and Ciri, the two demigod-level warriors under his command. As for Uther, he wasn’t worried—his Sacred Shield was excellent at defense, ensuring his safety even if he couldn’t defeat his opponent. The two demigods nodded excitedly; this was their first chance to fight against legendary void creatures.

“They’re coming!” Charlie, the King of the North, who was fully focused, suddenly exclaimed.

Sure enough, a massive figure resembling some ancient giant beast appeared ahead. As it drew closer, those present could begin to make out its general shape.
“It’s the Destroyer Giant Centipede!”
Charlie said in surprise.
He had not only confirmed this information with Donald but also learned about such void creatures from interactions with other true gods. After all, they would encounter them when descending to their thrones, so it was wise to prepare in advance.
There were countless types of void creatures, and even the most learned true gods could not know them all. However, those named after “destruction” were generally the most brutal and powerful among them.
The giant centipede-like monster before them was at least several kilometers long, as massive as a mountain range. With its ferocious appearance, it was clear it was no easy opponent.
“The Destroyer Giant Centipede belongs to the Flame faction. I’ll take care of it!”
With that, the King of the North dashed away from the group and appeared in front of the legendary monster.
Donald trusted Charlie quite a bit. Although the Destroyer Giant Centipede, a legendary-level void creature, already had strength comparable to that of a semi-god, and thanks to its innate abilities and enormous size, even an ordinary semi-god would find it hard to defeat.
“But Charlie, as the embodiment of the God of Winter, excels in cold and water elements. With the support of wind elements and protection magic, he can counteract the destructive flames of that giant centipede. Coupled with a true divine artifact related to ice elements and Charlie’s strength surpassing that of an ordinary semi-god, he has a good chance of winning, barring any surprises!”
Thinking this, Donald glanced at Charlie, who had already begun fighting the first void monster to arrive.
The Destroyer Giant Centipede truly belonged to the most brutal class of void creatures. Upon spotting a tiny insect blocking its path to its prey—plus a strong one at that—it let out an angry roar. Thousands of its leg-like limbs, resembling vicious fangs, immediately erupted in dark flames. Each of its legs was at least as large as a legendary dragon, and it lunged at the King of the North with fierce aggression.
Faced with the monster’s fierce onslaught, Charlie showed no fear, but he also had no intention of taking the hit head-on. After all, the size difference between them was too great. Being hit by a mountain-like force might not be fatal, but it certainly wouldn’t be pleasant!

Charlie suddenly transformed into a pale blue streak of light and appeared right on the spiny back shell of the Destroyer Scorpion, unleashing the Frost Domain. His Ice Spear also grew to dozens of feet in length as he thrust it forcefully into the back of the Destroyer Scorpion.

“Ahh!” A agonized cry echoed as the once-impregnable hard shell on the back of the Destroyer Scorpion, which was comparable to a divine weapon, became considerably weaker under the effect of the Frost Domain and was instantly pierced by the Ice Spear.

Charlie’s attack dealt significant damage to the Destroyer Scorpion. Not only was there the physical wound, but more critically, Charlie’s divine force attack through the Ice Spear targeted its internal organs. This attack, imbued with the power of the ice law, was a formidable threat that clashed violently with the Destroyer Scorpion’s natural attributes—fire and water. As a result, one of its body segments immediately lost control.

However, the strength of the Destroyer Scorpion lay in its robust and massive physique, as well as its traits similar to arthropods in the main world—its vitality was extremely strong. Even if its body were split in two, it wouldn’t be in mortal danger, let alone suffer minor injuries like severed limbs!

In other words, the Destroyer Scorpion’s vital points were in its head and chest, yet Charlie’s attack had severely damaged its widest central section. So, despite the serious injury, it was far from fatal.

Yet, the severely wounded Destroyer Scorpion was utterly enraged. It twisted and flipped in mid-air, forcing even the mighty Frost Avatar of the King of the North to temporarily avoid its attacks and wait for an opportunity to strike again.

Though it seemed like a long time had passed, in reality, only half a minute had gone by. During this short period when Charlie dealt heavy blows to the Destroyer Scorpion, the other two legendary void monsters also arrived.

This time, it was a Destroyer Sand Worm and a humanoid monster composed of countless writhing worms.

The former, like the Destroyer Scorpion, was a top-tier void creature—a legendary semi-earthy element void being with semi-divine combat prowess.

As for the latter, none of those present had ever seen such a monster before.

Only Donald’s expression suddenly changed, and he said seriously, “If I’m not mistaken, this must be a terrifying monster—a Worm Mage.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than a flash of light appeared behind him. The three goddess avatars, led by the Goddess of Magic, stepped out of the divine realm along with his own natural guardian avatar.

They had been watching from within the divine realm earlier, but once the three powerful legendary void monsters appeared, the three goddesses couldn’t stay inside any longer. They came out with Donald’s avatar to warn those fighting.

“Donald is right! Strictly speaking, a Worm Mage is not a pure Void creature but an evil monster born in the Main World!”
After the Goddess of Agriculture spoke, the mysterious woman spoke up with a serious expression.
“When a powerful evil sorcerer dies, its soul sometimes takes control of the swarming worms and maggots that are eating its corpse. With the infusion of arcane power, these insects turn into a Worm Mage, continuing the sorcerer’s evil plans or trying to avenge those who killed him. Such monsters are rare, but extremely difficult to eliminate—especially when they discover that the Outer Void is more suitable for their survival than the Main World!”
After hearing the words of the two goddesses, everyone present except Donald couldn’t help but think, Who did we offend to encounter such powerful Void monsters?!
