Chapter 57: The Land of Endings, Section 8

It’s unknown whether it marks the end for Blackhair. But it seems he’s truly in trouble.
Li Feng had been sailing for over two days, yet he still hadn’t seen an end in sight. Outside the warship lay one strange world after another, filled with peculiar life forms and civilizations. Those two short days felt like an entire century to him—so much had happened.
Just three hours earlier, on an endless plain they passed through, there lay a terrifying giant hundreds of kilometers tall, asleep. Its golden armor made it seem almost like a deity. When Li Feng suddenly appeared from the clouds, the giant wasn’t at all alarmed; it simply picked up a spear nearby and threw it. The crew on Li Feng’s ship barely managed to dodge it, escaping disaster. But that single attack instantly reduced the energy shield Li Feng had painstakingly built to zero.
This was just one accident, and in fact, there were many more. In just two days, Blackhair and his group faced more dangers than they would encounter in a lifetime. Li Feng was also in terrible condition due to repeated injuries.
Yet even the most difficult experiences eventually become experience. Once Blackhair and his group got used to the presence of danger, it ceased to be dangerous. Each time an accident occurred, they found the shortest route to escape, disappearing into the sky before those terrifying creatures or civilizations could react.
Thus, after seven days, Li Feng’s condition gradually improved. Internal repairs were mostly complete, and the external energy shield returned to its full capacity. However, some hardware damage could not be fixed—only major repairs could be done once they returned to port. Regardless, Li Feng had now regained 80% of his peak strength.
And fate began to smile upon Blackhair and his group as they gradually overcame their difficulties.
It was the ninth day since Blackhair was sucked into the black hole. After passing through another region of heavy water, a massive portal appeared before them, covering almost the entire sky. Its brilliant glow, like the sacred light of a goddess, captivated everyone. In front of it, Li Feng appeared even smaller than an ant—almost negligible.

Seeing such a massive portal, all the crew members were stunned. They could never have imagined such a miraculous sight existing somewhere in this world. Whether this portal was formed naturally or was the work of someone else remained a mystery. Given the wonder of this place, most of the crew, with their background in a magic-based civilization, assumed it to be the work of gods.

Realizing this, everyone became solemn, and the tension from earlier vanished. Gods, in any world, are beings worthy of reverence. People also hold such feelings toward phenomena they cannot understand.

However, there were two exceptions among them—one was Monkey, and the other, naturally, was Blackhair.

As humans from Earth, both Blackhair and Monkey had lived through an era of information overload. What kind of legends hadn’t they heard? The concept of gods had long become blurred. Coupled with atheism being widely prevalent in Huaguo, Blackhair and Monkey had never revered gods. Upon seeing this unexpected portal, their first reaction wasn’t worship but caution.

How could something like this exist here?

Blackhair and Monkey exchanged glances, both seeing the surprise in each other’s eyes. Perhaps they had made many guesses about the outcome of this journey, but never imagined it would be like this. Could this enormous portal, large enough to hold an entire starfield, be the destination of this journey?

No one knew. But Blackhair still heightened his vigilance to the extreme and gave the order to enter.

Li Feng slipped into the portal silently, like a small fish.

Then came a blinding flash that made it impossible to see anything, whether outside the ship or inside the cabin. Even a warrior as extraordinary as Blackhair had to close his eyes to protect himself from the light. The bright light lasted for a short time, yet it seemed endless—like ten thousand years in Blackhair’s perception. After what felt like an eternity, the light gradually faded, and Blackhair eagerly opened his eyes. What he saw next was beyond his wildest dreams.

Blue sky, white clouds, bright sunlight, soft grass, and lakes like mirrors.

They had arrived in a place as beautiful as Death Star.

“Wow!!!” The crew members’ exclamations merged into one, as they rushed to the portholes to witness the scenery that resembled their hometown.

That’s right, it’s their hometown. After starting from scratch through a process of building everything from nothing, the beautiful Death Star had long held an extremely important place in the hearts of the Blood Wolf Warriors. In every warrior’s heart, it was their hometown. And now, they saw a landscape exactly like that of Death Star here—how could they not be overjoyed?

For a moment, the cabin was utterly silent. So quiet that even the sound of a needle falling could be heard. Gazing at the beautiful scenery outside, many crew members’ eyes became moist.

This was their hometown… Had they… returned home?

“It seems you all like it here. Then I’m satisfied.”

Just then, a voice suddenly appeared—not through the channel, but directly piercing into everyone’s ears. Hearing this voice, everyone’s expression changed instantly, filled with tension.

There was only one person in the universe capable of producing such a voice, and that person was their greatest enemy!

Emperor Moore!!

How could he be here!?

It was then that people were shocked to discover, right in the center of the beautiful grasslands below, beside the mirror-like lake, there was a person lying leisurely. When Li Feng appeared through the clouds in the sky, he showed no sign of tension at all, as if this were entirely expected. He even waved at Li Feng.

Hei Fa’s pupils contracted sharply. He could never forget that figure. Wasn’t the person below Emperor Moore?

But how could he be here? And how could his voice reach everyone’s ears directly, without going through the channel?

After all, as a warship designed specifically for combat in space, Li Feng’s design could be described as perfect. Its airtight cabins, ultra-thick armor, and constantly active energy shields made it completely sealed—no sound, not even radio waves, could penetrate it. Hei Fa had never imagined that someone could ever penetrate the cabin and speak to him directly.

This was beyond the limits of technology!!

But what was even more astonishing was yet to come.

Seeing that Hei Fa didn’t respond, Emperor Moore below suddenly laughed—so happily, as if he’d seen the most interesting toy. While laughing, he struggled to get up and waved at Hei Fa.

“What, it’s strange, isn’t it? Don’t be surprised—I’m indeed talking to you. Not only that, I can also see you. Black-haired, though I hate to say it, I have to admit your expression right now is truly remarkable. Seeing this expression of yours makes me feel that this meeting was absolutely right. Everything was worth it.”
“Was everything… planned by you?” It didn’t matter. Black-haired suddenly believed the Emperor of Moore’s words and also faintly felt that his every move could indeed be known by the other party. So he spoke directly, as if talking to himself, without using any communication channels.
As expected, the Emperor of Moore really heard him. Shrugging casually, he picked up a grass root from the ground, put it in his mouth, and began walking along Mirror Lake.
“Well, it’s not that perfect after all. You don’t need to praise me; I’ll feel embarrassed.”
“I’m not praising you.”
“Oh. Don’t worry about it. It’s a bit complicated. You know, if you hadn’t stubbornly refused me all along, we should have become friends—best friends.”
“That’s impossible. Emperors don’t need friends, especially not the emperors of the Moore Empire.”
“That’s true. But there are always exceptions. You’re an exception, and I’m an exception too. So together, we’re exceptions within exceptions. Believe me, Black-haired, whether in the past, present, or distant future—as long as you agree, you’ll become my best friend. Hand in hand, we can make the entire universe tremble. Our footprints will spread across all realms, forcing the natives there to grovel at our feet.” The Emperor of Moore spoke calmly, his words filled with a strong, almost absolute confidence. It was so persuasive that even those listening from the side, like Blood-Eyed, felt somewhat moved.
Unfortunately, none of this had any effect on Black-haired. Facing the Emperor of Moore’s grandiose words, he simply listened quietly, giving no response.
But his reaction was clearly within the Emperor of Moore’s expectations. Seeing Black-haired respond with silence, he shook his head indifferently and then sighed.
“It seems you have no future left.”
“Why isn’t it you who has no future?” Black-haired finally reacted, speaking coldly.
“You don’t understand, Black-haired. You really don’t understand. But I think you’ll understand soon.” The Emperor of Moore smiled bitterly, then suddenly clapped his hands and called out loudly.

“Tia, the person you most want to see has arrived. Don’t you want to show yourself?”
“Boom!!”
As the Moorish emperor spoke, a bolt of lightning suddenly flashed in the sky, tearing through the peaceful silence like an arrow. A graceful female voice appeared along with the lightning, letting out a long sigh.
“Blackhair, you shouldn’t have come…”
“Beauty… beautiful woman!!!!!”
In an instant, Blackhair was stunned……
