Chapter 0073: Don’t Get Too Proud
Seeing Lukuf’s cautious expression, Ken laughed and said, “Uncle Lu, you’re being way too careful. Do you really think this kid is a Saint Domain powerhouse? Or that this ox is a Saint Domain magical beast?”
With a mocking look, Ken pointed at the yellow dragon and the sky-blue python ox it was sitting on.
“With you, a Saint Domain powerhouse, here, how could he possibly escape?” Ken laughed, and the mercenaries of the Wild Wolf Mercenary Group joined in the laughter. Many of them stared intently at the Great Asura Sulis. Usually, when the young master played with women, he might, in a fit of mood, allow them to take turns with him. This woman was definitely top-notch—what if the young master decided to share her in a fit of joy?
At this thought, their laughter grew even louder.
“Go, kill this kid. Keep this ox—it’s perfect for roasting beef. And as for this beauty, hehe, we’ve been working hard for days. Let’s enjoy ourselves tonight.” With that, Ken chuckled.
“Yes, young master,” the mercenaries around the Wild Wolf Mercenary Group replied loudly.
However, when these mercenaries approached, only one person came forward. It seemed they thought one person was enough to kill a fourth-level mage.
The mercenaries of the Wild Wolf Mercenary Group were all quite strong, with most at level seven or above—three at level nine, and one a Saint Domain warrior, namely Lukuf, who had spoken up earlier to stop them.
“Hehe, kid, you’re scared stiff, right? Don’t even think about running. This way, I can give you a quick death!” The mercenary who approached saw the yellow dragon sitting motionless on the ox’s back and assumed the kid was too scared to move. With a cruel and carefree expression, he laughed.
He stepped up to the yellow dragon, raised his hand, and unleashed his combat energy, ready to slay the kid with a single palm strike. But halfway through, he suddenly found his hands unable to move. What was going on? He was shocked. Then he realized not only could he not move his hands, but his entire body was frozen as well. He tried to speak, but no words came out.
Next, he saw the kid on the ox lift his hand. Everything went dark before his eyes, and his consciousness faded as he collapsed.
He never understood what had happened.
The mercenaries of the Wild Wolf Mercenary Group, who had been laughing, froze, their smiles disappearing as they stared in shock at their fallen comrade.
After exchanging glances, one mercenary stepped forward, went to the fallen man’s side, and shouted, “Hey, Kili, what happened?” Seeing no response, he carefully checked the man’s breath and recoiled in shock, his face turning pale. “He’s dead!”
The mercenaries around them all changed expressions, channeling their combat energy and magic while drawing their weapons. Only then were they sure that one of their comrades had indeed died. Yet no one present could figure out how their companion died, not even Rukuf, the powerful Saint Realm warrior guarding Ken’s side, who also looked shocked. Watching all this, Rukuf grew increasingly uneasy. Even Ken, disturbed by the strange situation, shouted, “Go ahead, chop this kid to pieces!” “Yes, young master.” This time, all the mercenaries surrounded them and attacked. Just then, a terrifying aura of dark magic enveloped them, instantly submerging the mercenaries. Then, a figure flashed by, followed by screams. Sulis, the Great Asura behind the Yellow Dragon, had taken action. Seeing this, Rukuf’s expression changed drastically. He roared loudly, unleashing all his combat energy and punching out, clashing with Sulis and forcing her back. Yet even so, half of the mercenaries had already died at Sulis’s hands. “A demon race, a Great Asura!” Rukuf, having temporarily pushed Sulis back, channeled all his combat energy and stared at her in shock. The remaining mercenaries retreated, staring in terror at Sulis—this beautiful and seductive woman turned out to be a demon race Great Asura! Thinking about how they had previously lusted after her, they broke into cold sweats. Ken also stepped back, astonished at the woman he had planned to enjoy later that night. Although shocked, Rukuf wasn’t panicked. He clearly realized that this demon race Great Asura was only at the early stage of the human Saint Realm, still somewhat inferior to him, who was at the middle stage. Earlier, he had felt uneasy about how she had arrived here unharmed. Now everything made sense, though he never expected that the young boy’s servant would be a demon race Great Asura. “This young boy has quite the background,” Rukuf quickly concluded. His expression changed, and he laughed heartily, “It’s a misunderstanding. It’s the Wild Wolf Mercenary Group’s mistake. Please, young master, don’t take it personally.” A misunderstanding? The Yellow Dragon replied calmly, “I don’t think it’s a misunderstanding.” Ken, having recovered from his initial shock, saw that Rukuf was taking blame for them, yet she refused to accept it. He glared angrily and said, “Kid, don’t get too proud. What’s so great about having just one Great Asura as a guard? You just killed people from our mercenary group. How are we going to settle this?”
“Uncle Lu, just kill this kid. Anyway, no one will know it was us, and we don’t have to worry about the people behind him coming after our mercenary group!” Earlier, when Lu Kefu repelled that demonic female warrior, Ken realized her strength was likely inferior to Lu Kefu’s.
Seeing this, Lu Kefu thought, “Oh no!” Just as he was about to speak, a thunderous roar erupted, shaking the surrounding space. Then, the green ox the young boy was sitting on instantly grew as big as a mountain, surrounded by blue and green lights, its huge eyes blood-red, with a faint aura of dark magic emanating from it.
Lu Kefu looked up at the now over twenty-zhang-tall Azure Python Ox, feeling its immense pressure, and gasped in shock.
The remaining mercenaries of the Wild Wolf Mercenary Group were stunned, while Ken could only stammer helplessly.
“A sacred domain beast… It’s the Azure Python Ox!”
Before anyone could react, after the ox’s roar, it stepped down with one foot, crushing those mercenaries into flesh pulp.
Lu Kefu snapped out of his shock. Without caring about anything else, he turned and grabbed young master Ken, taking off to escape.
Want to run? Seeing this, Huang Long thought for a moment, and a sword light flashed within his body. The Green Rainbow Sword transformed into a streak of light and struck instantly.
Although Huang Long couldn’t ride his sword for thousands of miles now, he could still use it to fight within a few miles.
With Lu Kefu carrying someone and fleeing with his back to Huang Long, the outcome was predictable.
With a buzz, as the Green Rainbow Sword returned to Huang Long’s body, Lu Kefu, who had fled hundreds of feet away with Ken, suddenly stopped, then his head slipped off his shoulders.
Ken fell to the ground. Seeing Lu Kefu’s severed body, he screamed in terror and retreated in fear.
Huang Long rode the Azure Python Ox slowly over. Ken, terrified, shouted, “My father is the leader of the Wild Wolf Mercenary Group! You can’t kill me!”
Huang Long replied calmly, “Is there any other reason?”
Frightened, Ken knelt down, crying, “I was wrong! Please spare me! Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you!”
But the next moment, the Azure Python Ox kicked him, and his cries ceased forever.
