Chapter 0563: Tianjie

Tianjie is located in the heart of the Kale Continent and is the largest trading center there. Although it isn’t controlled by major families like the Trade Halls in the intermediate divine realms, the shops in Tianjie are generally run by powerful families from the Chaos Divine Realm.

Though situated in the center of the Kale Continent, Tianjie is not on the ground but in the sky. As the name implies, it is indeed in the heavens.

More than a month after leaving the Moore Mountains, Huang Long and his group arrived at the Manhai Mountains, located at the center of the Kale Continent. The Manhai Mountains are the largest range on the continent, several times larger than the Moore Mountains. Unlike the Moore Mountains, this range is filled with small trading markets everywhere.

Tianjie is high in the sky, above the Gale Layer. Even high-ranking gods cannot pass through the Gale Layer, so teleportation arrays to Tianjie have been set up on the surface of the Kale Continent. One such array is located above the Manhai Mountains.

Originally, Huang Long intended to pass through the Gale Layer directly without using a teleportation array, but after hearing from Warner that some of the small markets in the Manhai Mountains often had rare ores and alchemy materials, he decided to stop by and take a look.

Small trading markets dot every corner of the Manhai Mountains. Huang Long spent two days exploring these markets. Over those two days, he bought quite a lot of ores and alchemy materials. As Warner had said, these markets did indeed have rare ores and materials.

Two days later, with only one day left before the large trade fair in Tianjie, Huang Long led Warner and a dozen others to the teleportation array in the Manhai Mountains to head to Tianjie.

The cost of using the Tianjie teleportation array is high—five hundred thousand divine stones per high-ranking god. For Huang Long’s group of sixteen, that amounted to eight million divine stones. Of course, supreme gods don’t need to pay such fees, but Huang Long didn’t reveal his true strength as a supreme god.

After paying the divine stones, as light flashed around them, Huang Long and his group opened their eyes again to find themselves surrounded by a vast starry sky. Below the stars were streets crisscrossing in all directions. These streets were similar to those in castles, several miles wide, stretching into the starry expanse with no end in sight. Along both sides of the streets stood shops that resembled palaces. Below the streets lay the endless starry sky, with occasional white clouds drifting by.

Huang Long knew this was Tianjie. Standing on its streets, he felt as if he were in the Heavenly Court of Pangu. Indeed, Tianjie was built in such a way that it resembled the Heavenly Court greatly—except for the lack of numerous heavenly soldiers and generals guarding it, everything else seemed utterly real.

The streets were bustling with traffic, filled with various magical beasts pulled by carriages, resembling a display of blooming flowers. Huang Long stood there silently, with Warner and a dozen others behind him, too afraid to speak. As leaders of the three strongest factions in the Moer Mountains, they had naturally visited Tianjie many times. Of course, with their wealth and influence, they could only trade small amounts of ore and alchemy materials here.

“Let’s go!” Huang Long said after a while, then headed toward the center of Tianjie.

Tianjie was incredibly vast, much larger than the castles on the land of the Chaos Divine Plane. The castles on the Chaos Divine Plane were already larger than the mansions in the intermediate divine planes, so one can imagine just how expansive Tianjie was. According to Warner, there were thousands of streets alone in Tianjie.

Gods of high rank were not allowed to fly high above Tianjie, though some with special privileges were exceptions. Huang Long, Warner, and the others walked along the streets, with carriages passing by them constantly. Occasionally, noble and magnificent carriages could be seen flying high in the sky.

“Look, Second Sister, those country bumpkins aren’t using carriages—they’re walking on foot,” said someone as Huang Long and the others continued walking. Suddenly, as a carriage flew overhead, a delicate voice rang out, laced with mockery.

Huang Long looked up and saw a beautiful girl, seemingly around fifteen or sixteen years old, pointing at them and commenting disdainfully. Next to her sat a stunningly beautiful woman in her twenties.

“Second Sister, don’t be silly,” the woman scolded in a melodious voice.

Generally, those who entered Tianjie would have their own carriages. It was quite rare to see someone like Huang Long walking alone on the streets. As the beautiful girl said, those walking on the streets were usually “country bumpkins” who couldn’t afford carriages.

Hiring carriages in Tianjie cost at least one million divine stones, even for the cheapest ones.

Huang Long frowned.

“The Skarn Family!” Warner and the others changed expressions upon seeing a floral emblem on that carriage, reacting in shock.

Huang Long’s mind stirred. Over these days, he had learned about some of the factions in the Kale Continent. The Skarn Family was one of the super-large families there, ranking fifth.

In terms of influence, it still surpassed the Lanbo family. Hearing Warner and the others exclaim in shock, the beautiful woman glanced at Huang Long and the others with pride, and in the blink of an eye, her carriage was already far away. Country bumpkin? Huang Long shook his head, finding it amusing—this was the first time he’d heard someone describe him that way. The term was quite novel. Naturally, Huang Long wouldn’t bother arguing with a little girl over such trivial words. After mocking himself slightly, he led Warner and the others further toward the center of Tianjie. The center of Tianjie was actually a castle suspended among the stars. As Huang Long and the others approached, more and more vehicles passed by on both sides of the street. Even though there were thousands of streets, it still felt congested. Warner explained that although Tianjie was usually busy, it wasn’t this crowded—mainly because of the large trade fair the next day, which attracted so many people. The large trade fair in Tianjie occurred once every ten thousand years, while the smaller ones happened once every thousand years. Thus, each large trade fair was many times busier than usual. Huang Long couldn’t help but recall the time in the Hengyuan Realm when he auctioned off his space ring and magic sword, with people coming from various countries to the King’s City of Lutong. However, in the center of Tianjie, despite the constant flow of vehicles, there was no noise—everything was orderly. There were no troops stationed in Tianjie. In the Chaos Divine Realm, there was no army of the supreme god; only the guards of various major families existed. Yet, even though there were no troops, no one dared to fight or cause chaos in Tianjie. There was an unwritten rule in Tianjie: anyone who dared to fight or disrupt order would be attacked by the major families of the Chaos Divine Realm. Of course, Huang Long knew these rules were relative—if a core member of the top family on the Kale Continent caused trouble here, most people would likely turn a blind eye. It was the same in every world, every place, at every time. After arriving at the center of Tianjie, Huang Long led Warner and the others to a large shop. For the large trade fair the next day, if he wanted to bid on Chaos Stones, the trillions of divine stones in his space ring were far from enough. Although divine stones were usable in the Chaos Divine Realm, Huang Long’s divine cards from intermediate divine realms couldn’t be used there. So, despite having hundreds of trillions of divine stones in his divine cards, they could only remain unused. Now, Huang Long came to this shop to sell some items from his Five Prison Divine Cauldron to raise some divine stones for bidding on Chaos Stones the next day.

Huang Long shook his head with a bitter smile. He never thought he would still have to deal with transactions for divine stones. In a mid-tier divine realm, such things wouldn’t happen.
The shop was huge, with people coming in and out constantly. When Huang Long entered, he saw nearly a thousand people moving around in the main hall. Perhaps due to the large number of customers and a shortage of staff, or maybe because Huang Long hadn’t come by carriage, no one paid attention to him and his group when they entered.
Huang Long glanced around the hall before going to the counter with Warner and the others.
A middle-aged man with a handlebar mustache, who seemed to be the manager, looked at Huang Long and his group as they approached. He sized them up dismissively and said, “What can I do for you?”
“I have some items I’d like to sell at your store. I’d like to see your boss,” Huang Long replied calmly.
“Just because you have some items to sell, you think you can see our boss?” The manager sneered. “Our boss is very busy. If you have something to sell, I can make a decision.”
Huang Long and his group weren’t dressed like members of prominent families, so the manager naturally classified them as “low-class customers,” assuming the transaction would be trivial.
“What country bumpkins, even for a small deal they have to see our boss,” the manager thought scornfully.
“Can you really make a decision?” Huang Long ignored the disdainful attitude and asked indifferently.
Hearing Huang Long’s clear “doubt” of his authority, the manager became even angrier. He simply waved his hand to a clerk in the distance and called, “Kid, come here.” When the clerk rushed over, asking what the manager needed, he pointed at Huang Long and said, “Take them over and see what ‘valuable items’ they have to sell.”
He raised his voice when saying “valuable items,” with obvious mockery, which everyone could tell. Warner and the others were annoyed, but since Huang Long remained silent, they didn’t dare speak either. After all, this was the heart of Tianjie.
The clerk bowed to the manager and glanced at Huang Long and his group before saying arrogantly, “Follow me. How can you be so unaware of the rules? This is the main counter. If you want to sell something, go to the small hall next door.” Then he began lecturing them.
Warner and the others were furious, but Huang Long shook his head.
After leading Huang Long and his group to the small hall next to the main hall, the clerk sat down proudly and said, “Well, what do you want to sell?”
At that moment, a flash of light appeared in Huang Long’s hand, and a crystal resembling white jade appeared in his grasp.
