Chapter 0508: The Light Sovereign’s Killing Intent
The realm of the Light Supreme God consists of nine major domains, each ruled by one of the nine supreme gods of light. Among them, the largest domain, the Man Sea Region, is under the rule of the Light Sovereign. The Elvish family’s influence extends not only to every corner of the Man Sea Region but also to the other eight domains of the Light Supreme God’s realm, where their angelic legions are stationed.
Elvish Peak is located at the heart of the Man Sea Region. The Man Sea Region is the largest domain in the Light Supreme God’s realm, and Elvish Peak is the tallest sacred mountain in it—indeed, the tallest sacred mountain in the entire realm. Elvish Peak serves as the headquarters of the Elvish family.
The entire mountain is trillions of miles in size, more than ten times larger than the Bai Cao Peak that the Yellow Dragon once visited, and roughly comparable in size to the Cang Hai Continent in the Netherworld. Pools of light energy gather above the mountain like floating clouds. From afar, it exudes a sacred glow, with the area around the mountain warm as spring for thousands of miles.
The Elvish family is the foremost family in the Light Supreme God’s realm. Aside from their angelic legions, they have trillions of direct descendants. On top of the sacred mountain, there are no angelic legions; even the twelve-winged angels are merely servants of the Elvish family. Angels do not have the right to reside on Elvish Peak.
Above Elvish Peak lies the supreme space of the Light Sovereign, Elvish. Unlike other supreme gods, his supreme space is not hidden but appears above the mountain, visible to all gods. From afar, Elvish’s supreme space resembles an ancient garden-style castle. Floating clouds formed from divine light energy surround the castle. At its center stands a temple made of platinum-like divine stones—the Light Temple of the Light Sovereign, as well as the highest symbol of the Elvish family. The entire temple is crafted from these platinum divine stones.
Platinum divine stones are the rarest type of divine stones containing light energy in the Light Supreme God’s realm, created only at the beginning of its existence.
At that moment, atop the main hall of the Light Temple, sat a young man with flowing golden hair and narrow eyes. His gaze was sharp as a cold sword—this was the Light Sovereign, Elvish. Standing above the hall was a gaunt old man, one of the three chief envoys before the Light Sovereign, Alph. Alph was a supreme god at the highest level of enlightenment.
“Are you saying that all the supreme god armies guarding the War Gate of the Realm have been killed?” Elvish asked indifferently, his supreme god seal flashing between his brows.
“Yes, my lord!” Alph replied respectfully.
“Speak,” Elvish commanded in a deep voice.
Alf replied respectfully, then detailed the news he had received to the Lord of Light. Of course, he omitted the line spoken by the “bird man” that the gods heard at that time. After Alf finished speaking, silence filled the great hall as he stood there. “The Planar Battlefield dealt with Bishop—now they’re coming after me? Dragon Might?” After a while, Elvis muttered to himself, “Could it be that yellow dragon? But what about that golden handprint?” According to Alf’s description, the power of that golden handprint was certainly beyond what a mere peerless warrior could achieve. Even a peerless warrior couldn’t completely wipe out the army of the gods guarding the Planar War Gate—after all, there were tens of millions of angels, along with more than a dozen level-8 apex twelve-winged angels. “Investigate!” A cold glint appeared in Elvis’s eyes. Wiping out tens of millions of angels was one thing, but since they dared to openly declare they would come after him sooner or later, it was tantamount to openly challenging him! Elvis naturally couldn’t sit idly by. “Yes, Lord God!” Alf replied respectfully and was about to leave the hall when a middle-aged man with silver hair rushed in through the main door, looking extremely anxious. Upon seeing him, Alf bowed slightly and said, “Family head!” The middle-aged man with silver hair was Archil, the head of the Elvis family and Elvis’s eldest son. Archil nodded, then stepped forward and said respectfully to the Lord of Light, “Father!” Elvis nodded, telling Archil to stand up, while wondering inwardly—Archil was usually calm and composed, and as the head of the family, what could possibly be so urgent? “What’s the matter?” Elvis asked as Archil stood aside. “Father, something terrible has happened!” Archil replied anxiously at once. Elvis frowned. “Fiji and Coke are at the Planar Battlefield… they, they…” Archil hesitated. The Planar Battlefield? Could it be?! “Speak!” Elvis ordered sternly. “They’ve been killed!” Archil said gravely, with an undercurrent of suppressed anger. “What?!” Elvis stood up abruptly, his expression changing. His narrow eyes gleamed like drawn swords, and two beams of light flashed as the space ahead split open, stretching into infinity. Although Fiji and Coke weren’t his most beloved sons, he still valued them—otherwise, Fiji wouldn’t have been in charge of the Elvis family’s forces in the underworld. And now, they had been killed?!
He had over a hundred children. Losing one or two wasn’t a big deal, but what filled him with murderous intent was the fact that they dared kill the son of the Light Sovereign! It was absolutely unforgivable!
“Let’s go!” Elvis’s entire body glowed brightly as he enveloped Archer, then they vanished from the temple and reappeared in the back hall of the Elvis family’s headquarters.
In the back hall, the soul marks of the Elvis family’s core members were arranged in rows, with two spots empty in the top row.
Elvis’s expression darkened. The disappearance of a god-tier warrior’s soul mark meant death—Fiji and Coke must indeed be dead!
“Have you found out who it is?!” Elvis’s voice was low, and an invisible pressure radiated from him, making Archer’s heart tighten.
“Reporting to Father, I’ve sent Deanley and ten others to the plane battlefield. News should arrive soon!” Archer replied respectfully.
With Deanley, the eldest of the Elvis family, and ten top-tier warriors sent, Archer believed news would come quickly.
“News will arrive soon? So you still haven’t found out who it is?!” Elvis’s gaze was sharp as a sword.
Archer trembled inwardly.
“Whatever it takes, they must find him for me within a year!” Elvis ordered gravely.
A year?! Archer felt distressed. The plane battlefield was even larger than the Light Sovereign’s realm. Unless the Sovereign intervened personally, it would be impossible to locate the culprit even if they knew who it was.
Still, even without saying anything, Archer had to respond respectfully.
Soon after, Elvis vanished with a flash of light.
With Elvis gone, Archer breathed a sigh of relief, yet his heart remained uneasy for a long time.
……
In the Netherworld, within the Sovereign’s space, Susan looked at the messenger standing below the grand hall and asked, “Has the Yellow Dragon not arrived at the plane battlefield yet?”
The female supreme goddess in purple robes stepped forward and replied respectfully, “Yes, Sovereign.”
Susan frowned. It had been over a hundred years, and the Yellow Dragon still hadn’t arrived? She was naturally concerned about the duel between the Yellow Dragon and Bishop, and she had been keeping an eye on the Yellow Dragon’s movements all these years.
When the Yellow Dragon became a top-tier warrior, it surprised her too, but beneath the surprise, there was also a hint of delight.
“He disappeared at Tiandu Peak. Could he have been drawn into that strange space?” Susan thought to herself, her face showing concern. Even she wasn’t sure she could force her way into that strange space.
But then, Susan suddenly snapped out of it. Was she actually worried about “him”? No matter how special the Yellow Dragon was, he was just another top-tier warrior after all.
“Lord God, should we keep someone monitoring the plane battlefield?” asked the messenger of the Lord God before him.
“Keep someone monitoring it,” said Susan.
“Yes, Lord God,” replied the messenger respectfully.
“Wait!” Susan suddenly called out to the messenger who was about to leave the hall, feeling a hint of panic. “It’s better not to.”
The Lord God Susan was acting abnormally. Though the messenger found it strange, he dared not ask and simply replied respectfully.
…
The Plane Battlefield.
On the right side of the Realm River, in the camp of the Light Lord God, ten figures were flying at extreme speeds. Like Huang Long and the others, these ten did not try to conceal their presence and flew straight through the sky.
These ten were the Deanley Ten from the ElWeis family.
As the Deanley Ten flew over the camp of the Light Lord God, their formidable presence caused all the hidden godly warriors in the vicinity to change expressions.
“The Ten Greatest Warriors!”
“That’s Deanley, the eldest of the ElWeis family. I didn’t expect him to be here too. What is he doing at the plane battlefield? Could he also be coveting the Lord Artifacts?!”
“Who wouldn’t covet the Lord Artifacts, except for the supreme gods?”
These godly warriors discussed among themselves. Of course, some also believed the situation wasn’t that simple. The ElWeis family had sent ten elders, including Deanley—there could only be one reason: it wasn’t for the rewards of this plane war!
Could something major be happening in this plane war?!
The arrival of the Deanley Ten from the ElWeis family made the plane battlefield even more unpredictable.
A few days later, the Deanley Ten stood beside the divine bodies of Faji and Coke.
Although the four had been dead for some time, strangely, their divine bodies hadn’t been disturbed by any other godly warriors—everything remained as it was when Huang Long and the others left.
Deanley slowly approached Faji and Coke, his expression solemn. He then bowed respectfully, and the other nine followed suit, their hearts heavy.
A sense of grimness filled the air.
“Young masters Faji and Coke, rest assured. We will definitely find them, capture them personally, and bring them back to the Light Temple to be dealt with by the Lord, so we can avenge you!” Deanley said in a deep voice.
After a while, Deanley stood up and lifted the divine bodies of Faji and Coke.
“Issue orders to quickly compile a list of all the greatest warriors who have entered the plane battlefield!”
