Chapter 0443: Blame Huang Long
As Bradd followed Bishop closely, Huang Long placed a talisman on him to conceal his presence. Yet even so, to avoid detection by Bishop, Bradd dared not get too close and merely kept a distance behind.
While flying at high speed, Bishop constantly used his divine senses to scan the surroundings. Whenever he detected anything unusual, he would stop and continue only after confirming no one was following.
Seeing Bishop’s extreme caution, Huang Long grew even more convinced of his suspicions.
Now that the members of the Huang family were in Bishop’s hands and rumors had spread, what worried Bishop the most? It was the fear that others would learn they were in his grasp.
The members of the Huang family!
That’s right—only they could make Bishop so nervous and wary.
“Is that so?” Huang Long felt pleased. If that was the case, at least they were still alive.
Thus, Huang Long instructed Bradd to be even more careful in following. Otherwise, if they alarmed Bishop, it would become difficult to rescue the Huang family members later.
Some time later, Bishop had flown hundreds of millions of miles away from Luning Mansion and continued heading north. Under Bradd’s careful pursuit, another hour passed, and they reached Pus Mansion, located at the border with Luning Mansion. After arriving there, Bishop stopped heading north and turned south, gradually approaching a series of continuous mountains.
“These are the Heavenly Punishment Mountains,” Bradd explained to Huang Long as they neared the mountains.
Bradd had been there once before and knew the area fairly well. The Heavenly Punishment Mountains were similar to the Dragon Mountains in Saint Wen Mansion—habitat for bandits. But unlike the Dragon Mountains, the bandits here were extremely rampant, numbering in the billions, including many peerless warriors at levels seven, eight, and even nine of the Underworld King hierarchy!
Although the bandits in the Heavenly Punishment Mountains were rampant, the Main God Army tolerated their existence. A key reason was the complex web of forces behind them, involving the interests of many powerful families. Even the lord of Pus Mansion had to be cautious. Moreover, given the large number and strength of these bandits, the lord of Pus Mansion also had to consider the casualties the Main God Army might suffer if they tried to eradicate them.
“Could it be that Bishop has secretly established a faction in the Heavenly Punishment Mountains, or perhaps one of the bandit factions is backed by Bishop, the eldest of the Luning family?” Huang Long pondered after hearing Bradd’s explanation.
After entering the Punishment Mountains, Bishop arrived at a range of mountains in the southeast of the Punishment Mountains, then flashed down in front of a certain peak. Upon landing on that peak, Bishop formed a hand seal, and a flash of light appeared on the mountain wall ahead, revealing a mysterious hexagonal pattern. The pattern emitted a beam of light toward Bishop, after which he disappeared from the sight of Huang Long and the others. With Bishop’s disappearance, the mysterious hexagonal pattern also vanished. Bradd and Huang Long flashed into view. “I didn’t expect this unremarkable peak to have a formation barrier. Young master, Bishop must have been transported into the interior space of the peak. What should we do now?” Bradd asked anxiously. Without the incantations needed to activate such a formation barrier, they couldn’t use it. “I have a way,” said Huang Long. Bradd was puzzled. However, Huang Long didn’t explain further. He released a wisp of immortal energy, enveloped Bradd, then spun around, entering the mountain wall under Bradd’s astonished gaze. After taking Bradd inside the mountain wall, Huang Long moved as if through empty space, sensing Bishop’s presence as they continued deep underground, reaching thousands of feet beneath the surface in an instant. Following Huang Long, Bradd widened his eyes. Though he was an unparalleled warrior far stronger than Huang Long at the moment, since he didn’t practice the earth-based laws, he couldn’t move through the ground or reach such depths so quickly without any difficulty. Only those who practiced the earth-based laws could do such things, right?! Bradd was shocked and skeptical. Meanwhile, Bishop, transported through the formation barrier, arrived in an underground space inside the peak. “We greet our lord!” As soon as Bishop arrived, two high-ranking divine guards at the entrance of the underground hall knelt down in reverence upon seeing him. Bishop grunted in response and asked, “Where is Lord Rodon?” “Your lord, Lord Rodon is not here. He’s out on a mission,” one guard replied quickly, adding, “Young master Daniel is inside.” “Daniel, this kid is here again.” Bishop frowned but said nothing and entered the hall. When Daniel came over, he naturally understood why. Back then, when Sid handed the Huang family over to Bishop for “management,” his grandson Daniel was present, so he knew the Huang family was hidden here. Since Fide died at Huang Long’s hands, Daniel had often come here to torture the Huang family members to vent his anger.
When Bishop entered the grand hall, inside a torture chamber thousands of meters long, Daniel was staring fiercely at the members of the Huang family with a cruel smile, slowly approaching them as they were tied in mid-air.
“Kid, if you’ve got the guts, kill us!” Huang Wei roared angrily as he saw Daniel approaching.
At that moment, Huang Wei was completely naked, his face and every visible part of his body covered in terrifying sword wounds. Some of these wounds had already healed, some were still oozing blood, and some were deep enough to reach the bone—utterly gruesome. An unpleasant stench of decay filled the air around him.
Zhao Rong, Huang Xiong, Huang Liang, Huang Yi, and several other members of the Huang family were in the same condition.
“Kill you?!” Daniel burst into laughter, licking his tongue. “How could I do that? If I kill you, it won’t be fun anymore. I haven’t had my fill yet—how could I bear to let you die!” His voice rose in anger as he continued, “Huang Long killed my second brother. I’ll make him pay a thousand times over! I’ll torture you to death!” With that, Daniel stepped forward and swung his divine sword downward.
With a hiss, blood splattered everywhere, instantly dyeing half of Huang Wei’s body red. A terrifying sword wound ran from his thigh down to his feet. Blood kept dripping from his feet.
“Huang Wei!”
“Father!”
“Grandfather!”
At the sight of Huang Wei’s miserable state, Zhao Rong, Huang Xiong, Huang Liang, Huang Yi, and the others cried out in grief.
“Wahahaha!” Seeing this, Daniel let out a loud, ecstatic laugh from deep in his throat. Then he turned to look at Zhao Rong and the others, sneering coldly. “Don’t worry. Soon, you’ll all get to experience this wonderful feeling. Take your time—one by one.”
“Bring me the Bone-Eating Worms,” Daniel laughed, then ordered the elite divine guards behind him.
After a godly being died, their body would rot, and under certain conditions, it would mutate to produce these Bone-Eating Worms—terrifying insects that fed on bones. The Supreme God’s army occasionally used them to torture prisoners, but it was rare, as it was an extremely cruel form of punishment in the divine realm.
“Yes, Young Master Daniel,” the elite divine guards replied respectfully. They then took a palm-sized jade bottle from a nearby execution platform. Inside the bottle were over a dozen Bone-Eating Worms.
These worms were extremely rare. Daniel had only managed to find a dozen of them just to torture the members of the Huang family.
Daniel took the jade bottle, then opened it with a fierce expression. He poured its contents onto Huang Wei’s sword wound. Instantly, more than a dozen worms covered the wound—worms with green fur all over their bodies, emitting a nauseating stench of decay. These were the Bone Worms, creatures that made even the gods turn pale at the sight of them.
Once out, the Bone Worms detected the scent of Huang Wei’s bloody flesh. Their tiny eyes gleamed with excitement as they wriggled and happily burrowed into the wound. Soon, Huang Wei’s agonized screams filled the torture chamber as he struggled desperately, his face contorted in pain.
“Blame Huang Long! It’s Huang Long who caused all this to happen to you!” Daniel sneered.
“It’s Huang Long who caused all this to happen to you!”
“It’s Huang Long who caused all this to happen to you!”
Daniel’s voice echoed through the torture chamber, intertwined with Huang Wei’s screams. Suddenly, an overwhelming sense of murderous intent filled the room. The entire space turned into an icy cavern, with ice mist rising everywhere. Daniel, whose laughter had stopped, stared in terror as two figures stepped out of the mist.
“It’s you… Huang Long?!” Daniel’s voice trembled as he pointed at one of them, unable to believe that Huang Long would appear here. As far as they knew, hadn’t Huang Long been sent back to the mortal realm? How could he be here?!
Daniel’s voice “alerted” Huang Xiong and the others. They quickly turned to stare at that familiar figure, their faces filled with excitement as their bodies trembled. Zhao Rong and Huang Yi even had tears streaming down their faces.
“Dragon!”
“Second brother!”
Except for Huang Wei, who was being ravaged by the Bone Worms, Huang Xiong, Zhao Rong, and the others all cried out in joy.
It had been two thousand years—two thousand years since they last saw Huang Long! But here they were, under such circumstances!
Since entering the Netherworld, they had first fallen into Sid’s hands and then into Bishop’s. They had suffered greatly. Seeing Huang Long, all the pain they had endured over the years erupted at once.
There was only crying!
At that moment, Brad arrived beside Huang Wei. Using a secret technique, he drove the Bone Worms out of Huang Wei’s body. Then, with a wave of his hand, golden light flashed, freeing everyone from the Huang family from mid-air.
Hearing the cries of Huang Xiong and the others, Huang Long froze. His heart ached, and he felt deep remorse. If not for him, the Huang family wouldn’t have suffered such inhuman torment.
“Daniel, die!” Huang Long turned to look at Daniel, his voice low and filled with intense murderous intent.
Feeling Huang Long’s murderous intent, Daniel’s face twisted in terror as he fled instantly.
At that moment, the elite divine guards shouted and charged at the Yellow Dragon, trying to stop it so that Daniel could escape. However, as soon as they reached the Yellow Dragon, they turned into a storm of blood and were instantly torn to pieces by countless sword beams. Bishop, who was walking in this direction, heard the commotion, his expression changing, and he rushed over at lightning speed.
