Chapter 0379: The Arrival of the Supreme God
Five hours—finally, it was over!
When those five hours passed, not only did Bishop and the others look grim, but Kennedy and Bazel also showed complex expressions.
Back then, Kennedy and Bazel had spent nearly five hours evolving in the Ancestral Dragon Pool—nearly five hours, not exactly five.
According to past experience, the higher one’s dragon blood concentration, the longer the time required to evolve in the pool—a fact recognized by everyone in the Runing family.
Yet Huang Hai’s blood concentration, as measured earlier, was only 91, lower than theirs, yet he still managed to stay there for five hours! They couldn’t believe it. And judging by the trend, Huang Hai would continue evolving inside the pool!
Kennedy and Bazel took deep breaths and exchanged a look, sensing each other’s shock.
“Could Huang Hai possibly reach six hours?!” Bazel said with self-mockery, though his smile seemed forced and awkward.
Kennedy remained silent, sighing inwardly before turning back to gaze at the Ancestral Dragon Pool.
“Was the blood concentration test wrong? Could Huang Hai’s concentration be higher than ours?!” Bazel murmured, his voice low, but Kennedy and the elders heard him clearly.
Everyone fell into deep thought.
But was such a possibility even possible?
Back then, in front of everyone, Kennedy had personally tested Huang Hai in the True Dragon Hall—everyone had seen it with their own eyes. How could there be any deception? Moreover, Kennedy and Bazel’s blood concentrations were as high as 96. If Huang Hai’s was even higher, how much? 97? 99?!
Everyone’s minds were in turmoil.
If before Huang Hai’s presence caused anomalies in the pool and Bishop felt jealous, now he was filled with hatred.
“The dimensional battlefield—this Huang Hai must die!” This thought echoed repeatedly in Bishop’s mind.
In the True Dragon Hall, everyone remained silent.
Five hours passed, then five and a half hours. Even after five and a half hours, the Yellow Dragon still sat in the pool, continuing to evolve. Now, it was like an bottomless pit—any dragon energy that entered the pool was absorbed and dissolved by it.
Five and a half hours later, six hours approached!
Yet when Bazel saw that six hours had passed and the Yellow Dragon still sat motionless in the pool, his expression showed not only disbelief but also embarrassment and slight displeasure.
But by now, no one was paying attention to his expression anymore.
For everyone’s attention was fixed on the figure of the Yellow Dragon inside the Ancestral Dragon Pool. Six hours passed, then seven, then ten! Inside the Ancestral Dragon Hall, the air flow became sluggish. Kennedy, Bazel, and the others no longer had any thoughts; their minds were blank, including Bishop as well. If any direct descendants were present, they would have seen their once revered clan leaders and elders standing there motionless, mouths agape and eyes vacant, like fools. Time rushed by, and the sunlight gradually dimmed; after daylight, night fell. When night gave way and sunlight touched the earth once more, a day and night had passed. At this point, the Yellow Dragon was still coiled inside the Ancestral Dragon Pool, with clusters of golden clouds emanating from its body, enveloping the entire pool. The surface of the pool also changed, resembling boiling water as tiny bubbles began to form. “Clan leader,” Donald said, swallowing hard as he spoke. Donald turned, his gaze confused, clearly still not recovered from the Yellow Dragon’s evolution. “Do you think… the Yellow Dragon’s evolution time might be longer than that of our Lord God?!” He hesitated, but everyone understood what he meant. Lord God Runing Susan had been the first to enter the Ancestral Dragon Pool for evolution, though no exact time was known. But now that the Yellow Dragon’s evolution had lasted a day and night, Donald couldn’t help but wonder if its time had even surpassed that of their Lord God! If judged by bloodline concentration, even if their Lord God’s evolution time was longer than Kennedy’s or Bazel’s, it probably couldn’t last a day and night either?! Kennedy didn’t know what to say. Just then, he felt a tremor in the stone talisman. Picking it up, he quickly looked up and said to everyone, “Our master has arrived! Let’s go greet him!” With that, he dashed out of the Ancestral Dragon Hall. The others were stunned for a moment before reacting and quickly following Kennedy to the skies above the Ancestral Dragon Mountain, their earlier expressions replaced by solemnity. As Kennedy and the others stood in the sky above the mountain, three figures appeared out of nowhere—Lord God Runing Susan in her white robes, looking cold and elegant, along with her two attendants. “We greet our Lord God!” Everyone bowed respectfully upon seeing the appearance of their lord.
Susan nodded, scanning the crowd with her gaze lingering a moment longer on Bazel before turning to Kennedy and asking, “Where is Huang Hai? Why isn’t he here to greet me?”
Although Huang Hai was merely a direct descendant and, by status, not qualified to greet her, she had come here for his evolution and transformation, so Kennedy should have brought him to meet her.
Kennedy looked hesitant.
“Speak,” Susan said, frowning.
“Reporting to the Supreme God, Huang Hai is still evolving in the Ancestral Dragon Pool,” Kennedy could only answer truthfully.
“What?! You mean that Huang Hai is still evolving in the Ancestral Dragon Pool?!” Susan had initially not paid much attention, but upon hearing Kennedy’s words, shock appeared on her usually cold face—her eyes widened, and her cherry-red lips parted.
According to Kennedy’s report, Huang Hai had entered the Ancestral Dragon Pool to evolve before she arrived, which was why the anomalies occurred. And it had already been a day and a night since she rushed here from the Supreme God’s realm!
A day and a night, still evolving in the Ancestral Dragon Pool?!
Back then, her own evolution and transformation in the Ancestral Dragon Pool had also taken only a day and a night.
Yet, Susan was shocked, her eyes wide, her usually cold face taking on a different charm. Bazel looked up and was momentarily stunned.
“You all, come with me to the Ancestral Dragon Hall,” Susan said after recovering from her shock at hearing that Huang Hai was still evolving in the pool. Without asking Kennedy any further questions, she flashed away to the Ancestral Dragon Hall, with her two maids and Kennedy following.
Inside the Ancestral Dragon Pool, it was now completely covered in clusters of golden clouds, making it impossible to see the figure of the yellow dragon. Only two five-clawed golden dragons could be vaguely seen coiling within.
“What is this?!” Susan was shocked as she watched the two five-clawed golden dragons in the pool.
Everyone standing behind Susan dared not speak.
“Kennedy, explain Huang Hai’s evolution process,” Susan said after staring at the pool for a while.
“Yes, Supreme God,” Kennedy replied promptly, then detailed Huang Hai’s evolution process.
After listening to Kennedy’s explanation, Susan pondered for a moment before asking, “Donald, did Huang Hai hear a dragon’s roar not long after entering the Ancestral Dragon Pool?”
Donald hurried over and replied respectfully, “Yes, Supreme God.”
Susan fell into deep thought.
At that moment, further changes occurred in the Ancestral Dragon Pool. The surface, which had been bubbling, suddenly trembled, and ripples spread out, emitting faint glimmers of light.
A glow emerged, like fireflies, converging continuously toward the Yellow Dragon, then merging into its body. Once the Yellow Dragon absorbed these glowing lights, spots of light began to flicker on its surface as well. The onlookers were stunned by this change. Susan’s eyes sparkled. This state lasted for three days and three nights—four days and four nights in total after the Yellow Dragon entered the Ancestral Dragon Pool to evolve and transform—before it ceased. Susan, the Supreme God, along with Kennedy, the head of the Runing family, and the elders, stayed by the Yellow Dragon in the Ancestral Dragon Hall for those three days and three nights; to be more precise, Kennedy and the others stayed for four days and four nights. After four days and four nights, a thunderous dragon roar rang out. Under the astonished gaze of Susan and the others, a majestic aura spread from the Ancestral Dragon Pool. Even Kennedy, aside from Susan the Supreme God, stepped back several steps. The golden clouds dispersed, and the five-clawed golden dragon formed from the shadow in the Ancestral Dragon Pool finally merged with the one that appeared on the Yellow Dragon’s body. In a flash, it darted into the Yellow Dragon’s body. At that moment, the Yellow Dragon, which had been coiled in the pool, finally opened its eyes. With a flash of brilliance, a beam of light lifted its body, causing it to hover above the Ancestral Dragon Hall, looking down at Susan and the others from above. For a brief instant, Susan, Kennedy, and the others even felt humble and insignificant in front of the Yellow Dragon. Not only was Susan the Supreme God, but Kennedy and the others were all peerless warriors—how could they feel such insignificance in front of a direct descendant who had just risen to the rank of Upper God?! Though absurd, it felt utterly real. “Dare you! How dare you refuse to bow before the Supreme God?!” At that moment, a shout broke through their thoughts. Bishop pointed at the Yellow Dragon in the air and shouted angrily. Susan raised her hand. “This isn’t your concern.” Bishop was stunned. He should have bowed respectfully and then stepped back, but a cold glint flashed in his eyes as he did so. “Huang Hai,” Susan said, her eyes fixed on the Yellow Dragon. The Yellow Dragon hadn’t expected its evolution in the Ancestral Dragon Pool to draw Susan from her Supreme God realm. Without time to fully experience the surging dragon power within, it came down to bow. “Supreme God.” Susan nodded, her gaze complex as she looked at the Yellow Dragon. “Since the Ancestral Dragon Pool is fine, I’ll return to my Supreme God realm first. Kennedy, Bazel, come with me for a moment,” Susan said after a while. “Yes, Supreme God!” Kennedy and Bazel replied respectfully and followed Susan out of the Ancestral Dragon Hall.
Before long, Kennedy and Bazel turned back. Without saying anything to Huang Long or the others, they led Huang Long and the elders out of the Ancestral Dragon Hall and headed back to Lu Ning’s headquarters. On the way back, Huang Long felt the changes in his body and was overjoyed, unable to calm down.
