Chapter 0102: The Elan Family
The news that the third mysterious auction item would be presented as the finale at the Huang Family Auction House sparked speculation among various factions. As anticipation grew, the date of the auction drew nearer.
The day before the auction, the orc Natt walked around the royal city with a few of his subordinates. Originally, Natt wasn’t supposed to be doing this, but since he had nothing to do, he decided to take a stroll. However, not far after turning onto the street leading to the Huang Family’s residence, he heard a shrill voice: “Are you Natt?” The voice was filled with surprise and disbelief.
Natt turned and saw a young man accompanied by a group of subordinates. His body trembled visibly, and his eyes flashed with anger and murderous intent.
Nado walked over, looking surprised. As he got closer, he saw Natt’s expression and burst into laughter. “Oh, it’s really my second uncle! I thought I mistook you. Second uncle, it’s been ten years—I didn’t expect you to have turned out so well. I almost didn’t recognize you!”
“Second uncle, have you been doing well these past ten years? It seems you’ve done quite well—so impressive, and you even have a bunch of dogs with you.” Nado smiled, then glanced at the orcs behind Natt.
These orcs had been bought from the slave market by Huang Long along with Natt. Over the past nine years, they had become like brothers to Natt and served as his trusted allies in his orc mercenary group, reaching the peak of level eight. Hearing this young man mock and insult their leader, they became furious.
“You brat, what did you say?”
“Leader, let me kill this kid!”
The orcs behind Natt shouted angrily at the other party.
Natt raised his hand to stop them, shouting, “Back off.”
The orcs had no choice but to retreat.
“Let’s go,” Natt said coldly, glancing at them before turning to leave with his subordinates.
Nado laughed and said, “Second uncle, it’s been ten years—why leave so soon? We should have a proper talk as uncles and nephew.” With that, he signaled his subordinates to block Natt and his group.
Nado walked slowly toward Natt, smiling. “Leader? Second uncle, so you’re the leader. I wonder which worthless group you lead?” He laughed, and his subordinates joined in.
“Over the years, Father has always been thinking of Second Uncle. He regretted letting Second Uncle leave the empire and wander abroad, fearing he would suffer. Now that I’ve found him, it’s perfect. Second Uncle will come back with me to our family. It’s been ten years—Father will surely treat him well,” Nado sneered.
“You brat, I’ll tear you apart!” Faced with the opponent’s aggressive taunts and insults, several orcs behind Nat could no longer hold back, roaring in anger as they threw punches at him.
Five peak Level 8 warriors struck with all their might, causing the air around them to explode with sound. Nado’s subordinates were forced to retreat in shock. Yet, an old man standing beside Nado said coldly, “Peak Level 8? Overestimating yourself!” With a wave of his hand, the five formidable orcs were sent flying, crashing dozens of meters away into the buildings on either side of the street.
“Kaji, Tony,” Nat called out as he watched his comrades fall heavily injured.
Amidst the fierce battle, many factions from various places stopped to watch the spectacle.
The five orcs struggled to get up, spitting blood.
Nat turned and glanced coldly at the old man beside Nado. “Lord Wilin, you’re still as imposing as ever.”
Wilin was a mid-tier powerhouse of the Holy Land.
Previously, Nat had temporarily held back due to this old man’s presence. Over these nine years, with the help of the Yellow Dragon, his strength had risen rapidly to High Level 9, but he was still far behind the Holy Land’s powerhouses.
“Hehe, Second Master, you flatter me. I think you’d better come with us. Though I don’t know how you managed to reach Level 9 all these years, it’s better not to resist me—otherwise, you’ll suffer and put me in a difficult position,” Wilin said indifferently, his expression unchanged.
This was the capital city of the Kingdom of Lutong. Though he prided himself on his status, he didn’t dare kill anyone. That’s why the five orcs were only severely injured earlier; otherwise, he would have killed them on the spot.
For a mid-tier Holy Land powerhouse, killing someone at Peak Level 8 was as easy as squishing an ant.
“It seems if I say no, I won’t be able to leave here,” Nat said, his eyes filled with fury and his expression grim, speaking to himself in mockery.
“Second Uncle is smart. Hehe, I’m sure he understands this logic,” Nado said with a fake smile, then signaled his men to capture Nat, while Wilin stood by to prevent him from escaping—though it seemed unlikely.
In the Huang family courtyard, Huang Long was refining the third mysterious auction item when Bog entered, looking somewhat anxious, which puzzled Huang Long, as Bog rarely showed such an expression.
“Young master, a messenger reports that Nat was injured outside, along with Kaji, Tony, and the others!” Bog said respectfully as he stood aside upon entering.
Huang Long stopped immediately, turned around, his eyes gleaming. He put away the Five Prisons Divine Cauldron and placed it on his finger, then used his divine senses and Heavenly Eye Vision. “Let’s go,” he said.
Bog followed closely behind Huang Long as they left the Huang family’s residence.
“Sigh, second uncle, you’re still the same as before—why hasn’t your temper changed? Why bother? Isn’t this just asking for trouble?” Nado slowly walked up to Nat, looking down at the severely injured man with a mocking smile, shaking his head in pity.
“Pah!” Nat spat blood, splattering it on Nado, then laughed, “Kid, you’re even more disgusting than your father!”
Unprepared, Nado was furious to see his clothes covered in blood. “Do you think this is the capital of the Kingdom of Lutong? Do you really think I won’t kill you?” With that, Nado signaled, and his subordinates drew their weapons and advanced.
But just as Nado’s men charged at Nat, a powerful force suddenly surged forward, sending them flying. They crashed to the ground, lifeless.
Nado and Wei Lin were shocked. Turning around, they saw a young man walking among the crowd, followed by an old man.
Nat and the other orcs, who were severely injured, rushed over upon seeing them. “Master!”
Huang Long waved his hands, and a golden light enveloped Nat and the others, causing their injuries to heal at a visible pace.
At that moment, Nado stepped forward with a cold laugh. “I never expected my second uncle to be your pet! Kid, you’re seeking your own death by daring to kill someone from the Elan family!”
Some of the onlookers were shocked to hear that Nado belonged to the Elan family and began to whisper among themselves.
The Elan family was a super-large family in the Orc Empire and one of the oldest families on the Hengyuan Continent. Among the major families there, its strength was among the top five, if not the strongest.
Over the past thousand years, the Elan family had produced eight legendary priests. Of the dozen or so legendary priests in the Orc Empire’s temples, four came from this family.
“This kid killed someone from the Elan family; I think he’s doomed.” Upon learning that Nado was from the Elan family, those watching, though unaware of Huang Long’s identity, regarded him as if he were already dead.
