Chapter 7: The Plan Unfolds
In a forest of breathtaking beauty on the Huahua Continent of Liupan Star.
Qu Yi’s five avatars—Jin Zun, Mu Zun, Shui Zun, Huo Zun, and Tu Zun—landed simultaneously beneath a towering green tree, the five of them engaging in conversation.
“All the top experts from the seven sects have already gone to various planets in the cultivation world to unify it. I estimate five years will be sufficient,” Jin Zun spoke first.
Tai Ming, Ying Hua, Jin Xiong, Cang Huang, Qing Long, Tu Long, and Shui Long’s actions were constantly under Qu Yi’s control, and all their plans were reported to him through communication tablets.
“This process will involve repeated struggles among various factions, requiring some time to adjust. But it doesn’t matter. Even if all the cultivators in the cultivation world die, it won’t hinder our plan,” Mu Zun said with a calm smile.
The other four avatars smiled in understanding upon hearing Mu Zun’s words.
Qu Yi aimed to unify the cultivation world so that every being, every demon cultivator, and every elf would worship him, allowing them to convey their understanding of cosmic energy to him and thus accelerating his own cultivation. In other words, every soulful entity in the cultivation world would become an avatar of Qu Yi’s soul, and their understanding of the universe would be absorbed by him.
Therefore, the merger of the seven sects to promote a great integration of forces in the cultivation world would result in many cultivators dying, but none of this would affect Qu Yi’s grand plan. If cultivators died, they could be trained again—so long as the cultivation world persisted.
The emergence of a new era would naturally be a cruel process.
Those who followed the Three Tripod Gate would live; those who resisted it would die. Such a law of survival reflected the drastic changes unfolding in the cultivation world at present.
“Let’s leave the Three Tripod Gate’s plan entirely to those seven people led by Tai Ming. The five of us will focus on assisting our master’s cultivation,” Shui Zun said softly.
Qu Yi’s six bodies’ top priority now was to elevate their soul realms to the perfect Mahayana stage, thereby ascending to the Immortal Realm. The fastest way to do this was by scanning the Five Elements Dao.
“You four are lucky—you just need to sit in meditation. As for me, I not only have to familiarize myself with various material crafting techniques but also create soul compasses. I really don’t understand why the God of Tools is so unreasonable, forcing me to make at least ten thousand soul compasses,” Huo Zun complained indignantly.
It turned out that among Qu Yi’s five avatars, only Fire Venerable needed to use the Star Luo Ding to become familiar with various basic crafting materials and also to forge the Soul Compass, while the other four avatars only needed to scan the Soul Compass. The Soul Compass required three most important materials: Dream Soul Stone, Five Constellations Stone, and Witch Spirit Crystal—all of which were top-grade spiritual artifact materials and extremely rare in the cultivation world. Fire Venerable went to the Tai Yuan Gate’s material repository, gathered all the materials there, but found that he could only forge 6,000 Soul Compasses. However, the Artifact God demanded that he forge 10,000, stating they would be of great use later. With no other choice, Fire Venerable gathered materials from seven major sects and finally obtained enough. Yet, forging 10,000 Soul Compasses was still a time-consuming task. Gold Venerable, Wood Venerable, Water Venerable, and Earth Venerable heard Fire Venerable’s words, chuckled, then closed their eyes and immersed themselves in scanning the Five Elements Dao. Fire Venerable smiled bitterly, took out the Star Luo Ding, and used his primal energy to generate different flames in its various parallel spaces—Meditation True Fire, Qian Lan True Fire, and Xuan Ji True Fire. These true flames, present in the bodies of cultivators at all levels in the cultivation world, rose in different spaces and burned the materials there. Fire Venerable’s spiritual consciousness was connected to the Star Luo Ding, allowing him to quickly grasp the properties of the materials in each space. Their attributes, compatibility, and compatible arrays were all understood by him. With each passing moment, he received information about tens of thousands of materials. Nevertheless, there were countless materials derived from the five elements in the universe. Even if Fire Venerable became familiar with all the materials in the cultivation world, it would still be only a tiny fraction of the materials in the universe. But the purpose of the Artifact God in having Qu Yi become so familiar with materials was to let him go through a process of getting to know them, so that in the future, even when encountering new materials, he could quickly decide how to craft them. Once he grasped the essence, any material would be easy for Qu Yi to work with. While using the Star Luo Ding, Fire Venerable also began practicing the “Fire Control Art,” a technique once practiced by the crafting master Emperor Hao. Although it was not as powerful as the Artifact God’s technique, it was very suitable for him at this stage. Thus, while getting familiar with materials, Fire Venerable also practiced the basic parts of the “Fire Control Art,” hoping to be able to use it when he reached the Immortal Realm. Qu Yi’s five avatars practiced diligently beneath this great tree. … Meanwhile, across the cultivation world, various cruel acts were taking place.
Tide Star, a large planet in the realm of cultivation.
An elder from the Taiyuan Gate at the late stage of the Tribulation Phase received orders from the Sanding Gate and came to this Tide Star to carry out their plan to conquer it.
On Tide Star, there are three continents arranged in an inverted “3” shape, each resembling a wave, which is how the planet got its name. The three continents are Bodong Continent, Bozhong Continent, and Boxi Continent.
Shandu, an elder from the Taiyuan Gate at an advanced stage of the Tribulation Phase, arrived at the Bozhong Continent and entered the headquarters of the Huaxing Sect.
The Huaxing Sect is the strongest cultivation sect on Tide Star. It was once a branch of the Taiyuan Gate but has now declared allegiance to the Sanding Gate.
The sect leader, Yin Xing, welcomed Shandu, and the two went to the sect’s council hall, the Xingyao Hall.
Soon, all those in the Huaxing Sect who were at or above the Convergence Phase gathered there—two powerful cultivators in the early Tribulation Phase and fifteen in the Convergence Phase.
Shandu glanced at the seventeen people below and smiled lightly, saying, “Gentlemen, the Sanding Gate has been established with the goal of unifying the cultivation realm. It is a good thing that you, the Huaxing Sect, have seen the situation clearly and declared allegiance to the Sanding Gate. I have been sent by the Sanding Gate to Tide Star to eliminate those heretical forces. Any group that fails to submit will be eradicated.”
By speaking, he made his intentions clear.
Naturally, the seventeen strongest masters of the Huaxing Sect understood Shandu’s meaning—anyone who showed disloyalty to the Sanding Gate would be hunted by the entire cultivation realm and have no chance of survival.
“All disciples of the Huaxing Sect pledge their loyalty to the Sanding Gate,” the seventeen replied immediately.
Shandu was satisfied with their response and said, “Now, on behalf of me, the Huaxing Sect declares to all those on Tide Star who are at or above the Convergence Phase that within half a year, everyone must come to the Xingyao Hall to obey my orders. Those who fail to show up will be considered unwilling to submit and will face punishment from the Sanding Gate.”
Hearing this, Yin Xing immediately realized the benefits for the Huaxing Sect—at least those at or above the Convergence Phase would definitely arrive on time. As for the strong cultivators from other sects or factions who had been opposed to the Huaxing Sect in the past, the sect could use various tactics to delay their arrival, then rely on Shandu’s power to eliminate them.
“Yes, elder. On behalf of all disciples of the Huaxing Sect, I assure you that we will complete this task successfully,” Yin Xing declared loudly.
Shandu nodded and then teleported away. Naturally, Shandu reappeared half a year later.
Only after Shandu left did Yin Xing reveal his plan.
“Everyone, for those sects that were once on good terms with our Huaxing Sect, we will immediately convey the news of the gathering in half a year. As for those powerful factions that are hostile or at odds with our Huaxing Sect, we will delay sending the news by three months. The appearance of the Sanding Sect this time is also a great opportunity for our Huaxing Sect; from now on, this Tide Star will be under our complete control.”
The other sixteen powerful figures laughed heartily after hearing Yin Xing’s plan, understanding his intentions.
“Good, let’s do it this way. An opportunity has come for Huaxing Sect.”
“Hmph, that Sanding Sect appeared out of nowhere. They really think our Huaxing Sect, with its ten-thousand-year legacy, will submit to them. Once we eliminate all other sects on Tide Star, it will still be our Huaxing Sect that holds ultimate power here.”
“This time, we must thoroughly purge the forces on Tide Star so that our Huaxing Sect can rule it forever.”
“From now on, all resources on Tide Star will belong to our Huaxing Sect.”
“Haha…”
The seventeen members of Huaxing Sect laughed triumphantly.
Not only on Tide Star but also on the tens of thousands of large planets visited by the Sanding Sect’s ten-thousand Tribulation-stage elders, they, just like Shandu, simply instructed the powerful factions there to gather and then announced their plan.
The orders issued by these Tribulation-stage elders were naturally used by the sects on those planets as tools to eliminate other hostile forces.
Qu Yi had anticipated all of this, but he didn’t care at all. He allowed such things to happen because he didn’t care about the casualties on those planets, nor did he care which sect would ultimately dominate—after all, Qu Yi had other plans in mind.
The ultimate outcome would surely be the unification of the cultivation world by the Sanding Sect.
