Chapter 406: The Blue Dragon

“Are you done?” Ye Feng didn’t even need to turn around. The two were now only a few thousand meters away. He could clearly hear the intense sound of wind as they approached. Anxiously, he urged Xiao Lan in his mind sea.
“Not yet. It will take at least two or three minutes…” Xiao Lan was also helpless. It had done its best to accelerate, but given the current situation, it seemed Ye Feng would be caught by the two before the dragon could finish preparing.
Ye Feng was sweating profusely from anxiety. Although there were still a few thousand meters left, the two were faster than him. Even with the wings on his back, his speed still lagged behind theirs. It was already quite remarkable to extend the time from a short while to nearly half an hour.
“That guy really can escape.” Cha Wenqing wore a vicious smile. He knew that the blade was already close, and there was no way to escape.
“That pair of wings must be some kind of divine artifact, as it greatly increased his speed. If not, he would have been caught by us long ago.” Zhou Jing stared at the black wings behind Ye Feng, his eyes gleaming with greed.
One kilometer…
Eight hundred meters…
Five hundred meters…
Three hundred meters…
One hundred meters…
In just a few breaths, the distance between them shrank rapidly.
A dark shadow flashed before Ye Feng’s eyes—Cha Wenqing had blocked his path.
“Stop, kid. Don’t waste your strength!” Cha Wenqing spread his arms, blocking Ye Feng’s way.
Ye Feng frowned slightly and glanced at Zhou Jing, who was not far behind. With no choice, he stopped. Deliberately trying to downplay the situation, he said, “What do you really want? I’m just a minor figure who has just reached the divine realm. The crystals I have are of no use to you.”
“You know what we want!” Cha Wenqing sneered. “Hand over the treasures, and we’ll let you die quickly. You even dared to try to ambush me? Do you think we’ll spare you?”
“I was just passing by. Otherwise, why would I run when I saw you?” Ye Feng continued to bluff, trying to buy time.
“That’s because you knew I was coming.” Zhou Jing’s expression remained indifferent. “You must have some treasure that allows long-distance detection. Hand it over!”
Ye Feng thought to himself, “They figured it out…”

“Don’t try any tricks!” Chawenqing shouted at Zhou Jing while keeping an eye on Ye Feng’s every move. “Just kill him—once he’s dead, everything on him will be ours. Use the Two Elements Formation so he can’t escape again.”
Ye Feng’s heart turned cold. “These two really know how to use formations to suppress enemies…”
Zhou Jing didn’t say much. With just one casual step, Ye Feng felt the space around him grow heavier. “Oh no…”
“Kid, we usually use this trick to hunt down imperial god-level monster groups. Using it on you is kind of a blessing for you!” Chawenqing said, stepping forward with a smug smile.
After Chawenqing took that step, Ye Feng felt a crushing pressure on his body. He couldn’t even move a finger. He immediately understood why those imperial god-level monsters could be slaughtered by those weaker than them.
“You brat, this chase is over!” Chawenqing stepped toward Ye Feng one step at a time. Only when he reached him did he draw his long sword and swing it down fiercely. “Die!”
Just then, a deafening dragon roar rang out in everyone’s ears. A blue giant dragon suddenly appeared behind Chawenqing.
Chawenqing froze upon hearing the roar. The powerful aura behind him made him feel oppressed.
“Boom!” With just a slight movement of the blue dragon’s tail, Chawenqing was flung into the air and crashed heavily onto a nearby mountain, causing loud explosions.
“Finally caught up!” Ye Feng finally breathed a sigh of relief. The formation had automatically dissolved by now.
“Is this monster his summon?” Zhou Jing was shocked. The pressure from this dragon was almost as great as that of early-stage imperial god-level monsters. With the formation, he could fight back, but without it, he was doomed to be killed instantly.
Actually, Zhou Jing wasn’t wrong. A dragon’s aura was inherently stronger than that of monsters of the same rank. Although this blue dragon was only at the peak of the Supreme God realm, its strength far surpassed that of some early-stage imperial god-level monsters. That’s why Zhou Jing, who often dealt with imperial god-level monsters, felt such pressure.
The blue dragon looked at Ye Feng. Its creator, Xiao Lan, had already told it to obey this man’s commands.
“Kill them both!” Ye Feng gave it the order it craved.

The blue dragon turned its head toward Zhou Jing, who was standing not far away, and swung its tail again. The speed of the attack was beyond Zhou Jing’s expectations; he wasn’t even able to see it clearly before being flung away.
“Don’t let those two form a formation, or even gods will be trapped!” The blue dragon froze slightly upon hearing Ye Feng’s words, spread its wings, and immediately rushed toward where Zhou Jing had fallen.
It thrust its claw deep into the mountain where Zhou Jing had just crashed, causing the entire kilometer-high peak to collapse. By the time it pulled out its claw again, Zhou Jing was already caught in it.
The dragon placed the claw holding Zhou Jing in front of it, opened its massive mouth, and, to Ye Feng’s astonishment, spat out blue dragon flame. In an instant, Zhou Jing was frozen into an ice statue.
The dragon tapped the ice statue lightly with one finger, and it shattered into pieces—Zhou Jing was completely gone…
“Bring his belongings over!” Ye Feng nodded at the dragon.
The dragon snapped its claw, flapped its wings, and flew over to Ye Feng. It spread its huge claw and held it out in front of him. The ice containing the loot had been completely crushed; in its claw were only a ring, an orange divine core, a set of armor, and a long sword—just like those of the main god-level warrior it had killed earlier. Ye Feng stored the loot in his own ring.
At that moment, noises came from one of the mountains—it was the mountain where Cha Wenqing had fallen. He was struggling to climb out of the rubble. The dragon’s attack earlier had nearly knocked him out; he lay there, dizzy, with no idea what had happened during those few moments outside.
“Zhou Jing, hurry up and form a formation with me to kill this beast, then finish off that little bastard!” After climbing out of the rubble, Cha Wenqing looked up at the sky but saw no sign of Zhou Jing.
“Damn it! Did that guy abandon me and run away?” Cha Wenqing cursed under his breath.
“He didn’t run away!” Ye Feng took out Zhou Jing’s long sword from his ring. “He’s already dead!”
Cha Wenqing’s heart turned to ice. His strength was roughly on par with Zhou Jing’s. If the other guy could kill Zhou Jing in just a few moments, it meant he could do the same to him.
“Kill him!” Ye Feng gave a new order.

The dragon spread its wings and appeared before Cha Wenqing, slamming down one of its massive claws. The entire ground where Cha Wenqing stood collapsed instantly. Still trying to get up from the rubble, he had no time to react before being buried in the soil again.

“Roar…” The dragon let out a growl, then opened its huge mouth and spat a blast of blue flame at Cha Wenqing’s location.

The ground froze the moment it came into contact with the blue flame. The dragon stretched out one of its claws, dug around in the rubble, and pulled out the frozen Cha Wenqing. It then threw him into its mouth and chewed him to pieces. After that, it spat out the loot needed by Ye Feng, placing it in its giant claw and holding it out in front of Ye Feng.

“Great job!” Ye Feng waved his sleeve and took all the loot. He leaped onto the dragon’s head and said, “Let’s find a secluded place to count today’s spoils!”

The dragon spread its wings, flapped them forcefully a few times, and disappeared into the distance.

After silence settled around, the frozen ground began to thaw slowly. A faint sound came from the rubble, and then a hand emerged.

Before long, the owner of that hand slowly climbed out of the pile of rocks. Though in a terrible state, the face was unmistakably that of Cha Wenqing, who had just been killed by the dragon.

“Fortunately, I practiced a secret technique called the Substitute Art. Otherwise, I would really have perished this time…” Cha Wenqing sat on the ground, gasping for breath, looking like a beggar asking for alms on the streets—completely devoid of the demeanor of a master. “It’s a shame about my treasures. If I hadn’t given them up, he would have noticed they weren’t among his loot when he was checking it, and he might have doubted whether I was still alive. There are still ten years left in this secret realm. If he finds out I’m alive, he’ll definitely try to kill me to eliminate a potential threat.”

“But it doesn’t matter. I’ve already informed the divine realm. They’ll send experts to deal with Blade soon. Once he leaves this secret realm, I’ll make him pay back everything, including the interest!” Cha Wenqing clenched his fist. But after a while, he frowned. “However, he seems to have detection-type treasures. If I show up openly, he will eventually discover my presence, and all my previous efforts will be in vain. It seems I can only seal myself away now and wait patiently for the secret realm to open…”
