Chapter 396: Escape
After placing the dragon’s corpse in the Liuluan Hall, Ye Feng resumed his dissection work. Using the top-tier divine sword, he exerted great effort to pry open the dragon’s head and retrieve the football-sized crystal core.
“Hehe, this is a crystal core at the peak level of a Supreme God. With my current strength, this should be enough to earn 100 million points, allowing me to purchase that Imperial God title without any problem,” Ye Feng said, holding the blood-stained crystal core with a silly grin on his face.
“But what should I do with this corpse? It’s a shame to just throw it away…” Ye Feng hesitated.
At that moment, a disturbance arose in his mental sea. He sent his mental energy out and found it was the plant. Its nine leaves were flapping vigorously on the white ocean, seemingly trying to convey something.
Ye Feng was momentarily stunned before tentatively asking, “Do you want this corpse?”
The plant then calmed down.
“Alright!” Seeing this, Ye Feng realized he had guessed correctly. He then used his mental energy to materialize the plant.
Once the plant appeared, it immediately unfolded its nine leaves to wrap around the giant corpse before returning to Ye Feng’s side.
Although they couldn’t communicate, Ye Feng understood that it wanted him to take it back to his mental sea.
With a thought, the plant disappeared, along with the corpse. When he sent his mental energy back into his mental sea, the plant was still wrapped around the enormous corpse, as if nurturing something. Seeing this, Ye Feng stopped interfering.
After withdrawing his mental energy, he took out the pile of crystal cores from his storage ring—127 in total. Among them was 1 core at the peak level of a Supreme God, 12 at the later stage, 34 at the middle stage, and 80 at the early stage. Ye Feng was surprised to find a core at the peak level of a Supreme God. After calculating, these 127 cores were worth a total of 262 million points. Adding the dragon’s core brought the total to 362 million points—a huge profit.
He gathered all the crystal cores together and inspected the pile of divine titles. There were 12 divine titles found in the dragon’s stomach earlier, and in the cave, along with the crystal cores, there were 23 more—3 yellow, 18 red, and 2 orange.
The orange divine titles belonged only to those at the Supreme God level, which made Ye Feng happy for a while.
After putting the 35 divine titles together, Ye Feng continued to examine the other loot.
There are two top-tier divine artifacts, eighteen first-class divine artifacts, and fifty-three middle-class divine artifacts. Ye Feng planned to throw these directly into the Void Realm to exchange for Realm Points, as they were of little use to him.
To Ye Feng’s surprise, one of the first-class divine artifact rings contained tens of thousands of first-class divine crystals, along with hundreds of thousands of middle-class divine crystals. This was his greatest gain, as it could be exchanged for a large amount of fourth-tier Realm Points.
“If human warriors at the level of a Supreme God can appear here, it must mean they came down from the Divine Realm,” Ye Feng frowned slightly. “That’s why there are so many divine crystals…”
“This dragon isn’t stupid either. If all these divine crystals were piled up in a cave, it would surely cause a large amount of divine energy to leak out, attracting other magical beasts. Although he likes to show off, he knows what to do and what not to do. Putting them in rings is the best choice—he can also play with them every day.”
“However, it seems this place is really dangerous.” Ye Feng’s expression remained grim. “Since human warriors at the level of a Supreme God have appeared before, there might be some now… If such a warrior deliberately hides his true identity and pretends to be at the level of a True God or a God, I really won’t be able to tell!”
“Whatever, we’ll just deal with things as they come. Since I’m here, I don’t need to worry too much. I’ll just get what I want first.” Although uneasy, Ye Feng had come to a decision—even if he encountered a Supreme God-level warrior and was defeated, he wouldn’t perish easily. The reason he was swallowed by that dragon earlier was that, though the dragon was at the peak of Supreme God level, its strength far exceeded that of a Supreme God. No matter how extraordinary his own strength was, he couldn’t leap several levels in an instant to fight against someone of such power.
After organizing the loot, Ye Feng left the Flowing Palace.
“If it can suppress our mental energy, then I’ll use something technological instead!” A smile appeared on Ye Feng’s face as he sent his mental energy into the first domain of the Void Realm.
“First-tier item—Ultimate Detector!”
Functions of the Ultimate Detector:
– Displays a detailed map of a specified area
– Shows the location of all living beings on the map
– Displays actual distances based on markers on the map
– Classifies living beings by energy intensity using different colors
– Classifies living beings by species using different colors
– Reveals the location of various items based on energy intensity
– Intelligently suggests the best route
– Can receive voice commands and brainwave commands
– Allows for custom design choices
“Good, I’ll take this one!”
“Free purchase successful! You can make two more free purchases today!”
Another pair of glasses appeared in Ye Feng’s hands, reminding him of his days on Earth, when he had to spend a fortune just to buy an ordinary detector.
Ye Feng put on the glasses and said, “Scan this continent!”
A few seconds later, a voice came through his ears, “Scan complete. Total area: 5.1 billion square kilometers!”
“So large?” Ye Feng was slightly surprised. After all, Earth’s total area was only 510 million square kilometers. This small hidden realm was ten times larger than Earth.
“There are 273 species in total, including humans,” the voice added. “Would you like to classify them by species?”
“Not yet. Classify them by strength level first! Those below the True God level should be shown in gray, those at the Heavenly God level in white, those at the Supreme God level in yellow, and the rest in red. For humans, use their avatars, with strength levels marked in the same colors.”
“Classification complete!” A voice came from the detector as soon as Ye Feng spoke.
Looking at the results from the detector, Ye Feng narrowed his eyes. There were three golden avatars on it. The three of them were gathered together in a red magical beast domain.
“Three Supreme God-level guys!” Ye Feng carefully remembered their appearances.
There was one white avatar. Ye Feng remembered this Heavenly God-level individual. When he first arrived, his aura had been suppressed to the peak of the True God level, but Ye Feng could sense that he was very dangerous. It seemed his intuition was correct—this guy wasn’t even at the peak of True God level but was rather a late-stage Heavenly God swordsman.
“This guy doesn’t seem to have come from the divine realm…” Ye Feng didn’t know why he came to this conclusion. There wasn’t much evidence for it; he just felt it that way. “But anyway, try not to provoke him if possible.”
Apart from these four, the others weren’t anything special, so Ye Feng didn’t need to worry too much about them.
However, soon after, Ye Feng discovered a rather serious issue—he was now in an area filled with intense yellow hues…
“What the hell is going on?” Ye Feng explored carefully. There were four species around him, each occupying one of the four directions—front, back, left, and right—and they were all massive beast groups. The smallest group consisted of 800 magical beasts, while the largest had over 1,500. He was trapped within the territory of more than 4,000 magical beasts.
“Why didn’t I encounter a single magical beast when I first came in?” Ye Feng was quite frustrated. But he soon realized that the reason so many god-level magical beasts gathered here was because of the huge lake behind him—the same place where he had taken a bath earlier.
Although replenishing water wasn’t a daily necessity for magical beasts, having a lake in one’s territory was far more important than having grasslands—it was a symbol of status. After all, such lakes were rare throughout the forest, while grasslands covered large areas.
“I have to leave here quickly, or I’ll eventually be discovered by those beast groups. That would be disastrous!” Ye Feng immediately felt a sense of crisis. It was impossible not to feel threatened when surrounded by four god-level beast groups.
“This must be the platform from before!” Ye Feng saw a special location on the map. There were no magical beasts nearby, but a bit further away, there were many people and magical beasts marked in gray.
After expanding the map, Ye Feng saw the familiar platform.
“Help me figure out the best route from here to that platform, avoiding all those god-level magical beasts,” Ye Feng gave a new instruction.
Soon, a route was drawn out.
“As I thought!” Ye Feng nodded. “I need to escape through the gap in the opposite direction, then take a detour to get back. Only that gap in the opposite direction is wide enough, and I happened to come in from that direction yesterday as well.”
Ye Feng carefully suppressed his presence and moved slowly along the route indicated by the detector. Although this gap seemed the largest, if the magical beasts of the two neighboring factions were skilled at detection, it wouldn’t be hard for them to spot him. At least if those canine magical beasts were on either side of this gap, he definitely wouldn’t be able to escape. So, he couldn’t afford to be careless in the slightest.
After more than ten minutes, Ye Feng finally escaped through that gap. He rested for a moment before following the map’s directions and starting his detour…
