Chapter 333: Powerful Privileges
Ye Feng spent the entire night trying, yet still found no clue. The repaired domain was like a treasure chest without a key, leaving him both delighted and helpless.
“What’s going on?” Ye Feng tried every method he could think of, but the golden-lit sphere remained inert, showing no reaction.
“I should ask the Feather Emperor; he must know!” Ye Feng then remembered that the guardian of the Third Domain, the Feather Emperor, would likely know.
With that thought, Ye Feng entered the Virtual Domain.
“You haven’t entered in physical form for a long time,” the Feather Emperor said with a smile from not far away at the entrance.
“I need your help this time,” Ye Feng said straight to the point, without beating around the bush.
“You’re referring to that domain, right?” The Feather Emperor clearly already knew what had happened outside.
“You already know?”
“You can’t use that domain…” The answer left Ye Feng speechless.
“Why?” Frustrated by this response, Ye Feng was upset.
“Because it’s a special domain of the dragon race. Only the dragon race can inherit it through a blood pact.” The Feather Emperor spoke calmly.
“Is there really no way for me to use it?” Ye Feng refused to give up.
“If it’s just for use, then yes!” The Feather Emperor nodded. “But it can only exist as a subordinate domain, not as the main domain.”
“What do you mean by main domain and subordinate domain?” Ye Feng grew more confused the more he listened.
“A main domain is one that matches one’s own bloodline and attributes, usually one that one cultivates on their own.”
“A subordinate domain can be obtained through cultivation or other means and doesn’t necessarily need to match one’s bloodline and attributes closely.”
“Normally, both main and subordinate domains can be used independently, but a subordinate domain can also be used within a main domain, creating a dual-layer or multi-layer domain.”
“The dragon race’s domains are special, with bloodline specificity. Only the dragon race can inherit them through a blood pact. In fact, only they can merge them or use them in other ways, and it requires dragon blood to activate them…”
“Damn it, I was tricked by that woman! She must have known about these things… She deliberately gave me something I couldn’t use… No wonder she agreed so readily.” Ye Feng suddenly realized that what he thought was a sure-win deal turned out to be nothing simple at all—Long Xuan wasn’t as straightforward as she seemed.
“She assumed this thing was useless, and even if I managed to do something with it later, I still wouldn’t be able to use it. That’s why she handed it to me without hesitation. In other words, she got what she wanted by trading a useless item, with no risks involved.” Ye Feng also figured out Long Xuan’s true intentions. That woman was indeed an excellent actor—he hadn’t noticed anything suspicious throughout the transaction. Even her subtle gestures were fake, yet they seemed completely natural.
“It seems I need to stay away from that woman from now on…” Just thinking about it made Ye Feng feel uneasy. If that woman was an enemy, he might not even realize he’d been tricked.
“Do you still want to know how to turn this into a subordinate domain?” Yu Huang couldn’t help but interrupt after seeing Ye Feng lost in thought for so long.
“Yes, I do…” Ye Feng nodded quickly. “Teach me right away!”
“Actually, once you use the repair privilege, this domain already belongs to you. You just can’t establish a connection with it, so you can’t use it. The Dragon race is an ancient and powerful race, and the laws related to them in the world are extremely strong. Among them, the Bloodline Law is one of the most powerful.”
“You’ve probably heard that ordinary humans who are bathed in dragon blood can gain powers comparable to those of gods. This isn’t a legend—it’s a fact, proving just how powerful the Dragon Bloodline Law is.”
“I see…” Ye Feng nodded. He vaguely remembered something similar in Western myths on Earth.
“So what should I do?”
“It’s simple. You just need to find something stronger than this law to break it, then you can establish a connection with this domain…” At that point, Yu Huang fell silent, smiling at Ye Feng.
“Something stronger than the Bloodline Law…” Ye Feng frowned deeply, then suddenly smiled. “I know! It’s the privileges of the Void Domain!!!”
“That wasn’t me who said that!” Yu Huang laughed and spread his hands.
Ye Feng certainly knew why the Feather Emperor hesitated to speak. The Feather Emperor had a thorough understanding of the rules of the Void Realm and knew exactly what could and couldn’t be said. Only certain things within the Void Realm could make him hold back from speaking.
“I need a privilege that can break the restrictions of the Dragon Clan’s bloodline. I’m willing to exchange it for other privileges,” Ye Feng shouted toward the sky.
“The Beyond-Law Privilege requires two Ultimate Pardons to be exchanged for one use.”
“What? So expensive? There aren’t many Ultimate Pardons to begin with…” Ye Feng felt an urge to curse loudly.
“Do you wish to proceed with the privilege exchange?” The Void Realm ignored Ye Feng’s complaints.
“Feather Emperor, are you sure that after using this Beyond-Law Privilege, I’ll be able to use that realm?” Ye Feng was worried that even after obtaining the privilege, he might still not be able to use the realm, resulting in a huge loss.
“In my opinion, it should be possible!” The Feather Emperor nodded, though his answer wasn’t entirely confident.
“Alright, I’ll trust you this time. Better to give it a try.” Ye Feng gritted his teeth and nodded firmly. “I agree to the exchange!”
“The privilege exchange was successful. Two Ultimate Pardons were used, and one Beyond-Law Privilege was obtained.”
“The Beyond-Law Privilege is a passive-triggered privilege that activates only when encountering a law-related restriction. Once triggered, the user can choose whether to use it or not. If used, it counts as a consumption; if not used, it won’t be consumed and can trigger again passively.”
“I was wondering earlier how to use this privilege. So it triggers passively. That means, even if I’m unaware of a law-related restriction, this privilege will appear on its own and ask if I want to use it.” Ye Feng nodded. “That means I don’t have to manually trigger it either—much more convenient.”
“Now that I have the privilege, let’s see if I can establish a connection with that realm this time…” Ye Feng then slowly stepped out of the Void Realm…
