Chapter 295: An Old Friend Emerging from the Grave
“Snowfall without sound!” Xuesha looked up at the sky, her black eyes covered with a strange white glow.
Suddenly, the entire world fell silent, and Xuesha stood motionless in place.
This unnatural quietness filled Ye Feng with unease. He knew what move Xuesha had used, but he didn’t know what it was or what effect it would have.
Suddenly, he felt a cold sensation on his face. When he reached out, his fingers were stained red. “What?!”
Shocked, Ye Feng stared at the blood on his hand. He realized his face had been cut. Then, the snowflakes falling on his armor made a faint tinkling sound, as if countless sharp knives were hitting it.
“It’s the snowflakes!” Ye Feng immediately realized that it was the snowflakes falling from the sky that had cut his cheek. He quickly started to dodge.
“Heh, you figured it out so fast!” Xuesha cheerfully admitted that her attack weapon was indeed the snowflakes. “With all this snow falling, how can you dodge?”
“Damn it!” Ye Feng cursed inwardly. “This is too unfair!”
In just a moment, several cuts appeared in the gaps of his armor that weren’t protected. Xuesha’s move could bypass the defenses of his divine armor. As long as one wasn’t within the armor’s coverage, they would be attacked. This left Ye Feng speechless. Normally, although armor had gaps, it would form a protective layer to shield the unprotected areas. But this protective layer seemed ineffective against her move.
“Even if you’re wearing divine armor, it doesn’t matter,” Xuesha slowly explained. “My move is called ‘Snowfall without Sound’—it doesn’t generate any energy fluctuations. That’s why it can penetrate the armor’s protective layer and directly harm you. Of course, areas covered by the armor won’t be affected, but that’s enough.”
“Armor transformation!” Ye Feng connected his mental energy with the armor and issued this command.
Immediately, the armor on his body began to change. What was originally a set of segmented armor became a single, seamless piece that completely enclosed him, leaving no gaps. Even his eyes were covered by a black crystal, preventing anyone from seeing inside.
“Hehe, now that trick of yours is useless, right?” Ye Feng said with a hint of pride. His armor had now become completely seamless; not even snowflakes could get through.
“Huh, I didn’t expect this armor to have the ability to change shape,” Xue Sha seemed surprised as well. “Normally, the higher the grade of an armor, the fewer supplementary functions it should have, so as to effectively enhance defense. Although shape-shifting seems like a simple function, few armorsmiths include it in the actual production process.”
“If that’s the case, I’ll have to use another move!” Xue Sha said, extending one hand and forming a void-like grip. “Snow Tide!”
As soon as Xue Sha spoke, Ye Feng felt a sense of unease. The entire area began to shake violently, like an earthquake in the distance. The gradually approaching rumbling sounds made Ye Feng turn around to look behind him.
Waves of snowflakes hundreds of meters high, like massive tsunamis caused by typhoons, swept toward him.
“Is this a tactic of burying someone alive?” Ye Feng’s back broke out in cold sweat. “What a sneaky move!”
Ye Feng quickly flew into the sky.
“Blizzard!” Xue Sha stretched out her left hand, moving her fingers slightly. Five giant tornadoes descended from the sky, surrounding Ye Feng.
The storm, filled with countless snowflakes, made it difficult for Ye Feng to maintain his balance, while the Snow Tide also rushed down from above.
Ye Feng slowly landed on the ground and took a deep breath. He stepped forward with his left foot, drawing a semicircle in the snow, then bent his knees slightly and placed his fists on either side of his waist—clearly a horse stance, though slightly different from the usual one.
“Fist Stabilizes the Universe!” Ye Feng softly uttered these words. He extended his left hand forward and drew another semicircle. The massive Snow Tide sweeping from the sky seemed to freeze in place as if time had stopped, not advancing an inch.
“What?!” What was happening before his eyes clearly shocked Xue Sha.
At that moment, Ye Feng threw his right fist. Even within that stable realm, cracks appeared in space. Without any energy fluctuations, after the punch was thrown, both the Snow Tide and the five tornadoes exploded from within and vanished without a trace.
“What trick is this?” Xue Sha stared in shock at what was happening before her, completely unable to understand what Ye Feng’s punch had done just now.
“Do you want to continue?” Ye Feng turned his head with a cold expression.
“Hmph, what just happened was merely an appetizer,” Xue Sha suppressed her surprised expression and glared at Ye Feng coldly.
“Alright, then let’s get to the main course!” Ye Feng’s confidence slowly returned. In fact, from the start of the battle, although his body and energy had reached the Absolute Immortal level, he didn’t consider himself a match for Xue Sha and had always been wary of her. But after that fight, he realized he wasn’t without a chance of winning—at least for now, he had managed to hold his ground in Xue Sha’s domain for so long without suffering serious damage. However, this didn’t mean he was arrogant enough to think he could defeat her. He knew well that the title of the Number One Murder God of the Demon Realm wasn’t just a fancy name—it was a title earned through countless corpses, bringing unimaginable terror.
“Second layer of the domain, activated!” As soon as Xue Sha spoke, Ye Feng felt a strange sensation. The entire domain seemed to be changing.
“I like the name Xue Sha—‘Xue’ for snow, ‘Sha’ for sand. Others call me Xue Sha, ‘Xue’ for blood, ‘Sha’ for slaughter…” Xue Sha’s voice slowly reached Ye Feng’s ears. “So, so as not to disappoint everyone, I’ve modified my domain to some extent.”
“What you’re about to see is the Xue Sha Domain that I’ve spent millions of years perfecting—‘Xue’ for blood, ‘Sha’ for slaughter…” Xue Sha’s voice grew increasingly brutal.
The domain where Ye Feng found himself was completely different from the previously snow-white world—it was a sea of crimson, with a nauseatingly strong smell of blood.
“How is that possible? How can you have two domains with different attributes?” Ye Feng was utterly puzzled by what was happening.
“Nothing’s impossible. I have only one domain; I’ve just modified it to some extent, allowing it to exhibit two states. When I need one state, I seal the other. Am I not genius?” Xue Sha’s expression turned fierce as she roared at Ye Feng.
“You’re just a pitiful madman!” Ye Feng sneered and shook his head.
“What did you say? I’m going to kill you!!!” After her dark voice faded, Xue Sha disappeared as well.
Within this realm, a surge of blood surged forth—thick, scarlet fluid wrapped around Ye Feng’s body, preventing him from moving.
“Die!” Xue Sha seemed somewhat frenzied at this moment; she pierced Ye Feng’s immobile chest with one hand.
“You seem to have forgotten why you came here, haven’t you?” A voice came from behind Xue Sha.
Ye Feng before them disappeared once again.
Xue Sha hesitated for a brief moment.
“This realm is still unfinished, isn’t it?” Ye Feng stared at Xue Sha and said slowly, “You can’t even control your own murderous intent. For those who crave killing, this realm indeed easily causes confusion and madness. But it has little effect on me.”
“Is that so?” Xue Sha’s lips curled slightly. “As long as you’ve killed anyone, directly or indirectly, you have no chance of winning in this realm.”
Xue Sha’s breathing gradually settled as she stood still, patiently waiting for something.
Yet Ye Feng’s expression gradually stiffened…
Yi Fan, Kristin, William…
Ye Feng found himself in a graveyard, with names carved on the tombstones—all his former teammates from the hunters’ squad. Suddenly, the soil above the three graves began to rise slowly. Ye Feng stood frozen in place, his face filled with horror. To some extent, Yi Fan’s death was also related to him. If he hadn’t killed that vampire baron, Nikola wouldn’t have found his squad and killed Yi Fan and the others.
A black hand suddenly emerged from one of the graves, wearing the same watch that Yi Fan had worn when he was alive.
Ye Feng’s pupils contracted sharply. Though he knew clearly this wasn’t real, he couldn’t make the illusion vanish.
Then, two more hands emerged from the other two graves, their arms covered in dark mud, which was chilling to behold.
As time passed, the three figures slowly climbed out of the graves. The one leading them was none other than William, the former leader of the squad.
“Ye Feng, we meet again!” William grinned at Ye Feng.
“You’re not real. Go back. Don’t force me to fight!” Ye Feng’s gaze was icy. He truly couldn’t bring himself to attack his former comrades who had already died—let alone since they died because of him.
“Not real? Those words really chill us!” Yi Fan spoke up. “We’ve struggled hard to climb back from the underworld. How dare you say we’re not real?”
“Brother Yi…” Ye Feng slowly lowered his head. Among the team, he had received the most kindness from Yi Fan, who cared for him even more than a biological brother. The thought made Ye Feng feel sad.
“Ye Feng, do you know why we came back?” Kristin still held the Bible in her hands, looking at Ye Feng with a clear gaze.
“I don’t know…” Ye Feng gently shook his head.
“It’s for redemption!” Kristin’s sturdy figure stepped closer and closer to where Ye Feng was…
