Chapter 235: Demon Cultivators

That loud shout rang out like a thunderclap in the sky, causing Ye Feng and the others to stop in their tracks and turn to look.
The one who shouted was a burly man with a massive build, a thick beard, and rugged features, resembling an uncivilized savage. Though dressed in coarse clothes, his formidable aura remained undiminished.
Behind him stood two men and two women, all watching with interest.
“They’re not humans!” Bernard whispered in Ye Feng’s ear, not worried that others might hear.
“That’s right. We’re demon cultivators!” The man admitted his identity without hesitation.
Hearing this, Fat frowned noticeably, and even Lilith and Kastdio looked uneasy. Gunan’s expression showed clear surprise. Only Ye Feng remained expressionless, seemingly unimpressed by the situation.
“Tell us, why are you blocking our way?” Ye Feng stepped forward.
“Leave that child here!” The man stared intently at Ye Feng. “And release the two pet beasts on your shoulders from their contracts, then leave!”
Ye Feng smirked slightly. He hadn’t expected the other party to be so audacious at such a time. Though he didn’t know their strength, he was confident enough to handle any enemy at the moment.
But in Gunan and Fat’s eyes, there was a hint of unease. They could clearly see that the other party was a Six Calamity Scatter Immortal, yet they sensed his strength was greater than it appeared.
“Sorry, but this child has agreed to leave with us. Besides, Xiao Bei and Xiao Yu don’t intend to leave me!” Ye Feng casually stepped aside, using a clever angle to block Xiao Moshi behind him, leaving the five of them with no chance to snatch the child.
This move made the five of them look serious. They hadn’t expected Ye Feng to block their attempt so easily.
“Interesting. This is the first time I’ve seen a late-stage Calamity Crossing kid with such strength!” the boisterous man laughed loudly.
“I guarantee there’s more you’ve never seen,” Ye Feng said coldly.

At that moment, Ye Feng heard Fat’s voice in his ears. It was Fat sending him a secret message: “Although they all seem to have the cultivation level of a Sixth Calamity Immortal, this isn’t their true strength. Stop arguing with them—we’re at a disadvantage right now!”
Ye Feng ignored Fat’s warning and continued to stare at them unyieldingly.
“Since you say that, I’m actually quite interested in seeing it!” the other party said, stretching his arms a few times.
“Lian, don’t forget the purpose of our mission!” said a beautiful woman with long black hair who had been standing behind, watching the scene.
Dressed in a light-colored long dress, she had waist-length black hair and a face so stunning it could be described as breathtaking. Even Ye Feng, who was used to seeing beautiful women, was taken aback by her.
Her eerie aura carried a hint of charm, and even her voice seemed to make people lower their guard. This made Ye Feng become even more wary of her.
“Jiuyi, isn’t our task this time to get that key? But the key is in that child’s hands, and the child is in theirs. If I take the child from them, I’ll have to fight them. Is there anything wrong with that?” the man named Lian turned to speak to the woman.
“Let me talk to them!” the woman named Jiuyi nodded at Lian.
No sooner had she spoken than she appeared less than a meter in front of Ye Feng. “You must be Daofeng. We’ve heard about you and seen your images and videos.”
“That’s right!” Ye Feng nodded. He hadn’t expected his name to be known even by demon cultivators.
“We watched your battle with Xiu Luo clearly. Your strength is indeed formidable!” Jiuyi gave Ye Feng an affirmative attitude from the start. “You even have a bright future ahead!”
“But no matter how strong you are, you can’t be our opponent! I also don’t want you to be destroyed by us!” Jiuyi frowned slightly. “Be sensible—give up!”
“We can do without those two pet beasts, but that boy must stay!” Jiuyi set her bottom line.
Seeing that Ye Feng didn’t seem willing to accept the terms, Fat finally couldn’t hold back and stepped forward. “Daofeng, be rational! Don’t do anything stupid!”
“He’s a human, not merchandise!” Ye Feng shook his head firmly. “If you want to take him from me, then prove it with your strength!”

“Only those who can defeat me are qualified to take her away!” By saying this, Ye Feng forced his opponent into a one-on-one duel rather than a direct confrontation between their forces. He was also aware that Lilith, Kastedio, and his two pet beasts were no match for them.

“You’re smart! You’re saying this just to avoid us attacking your friends?” Jiuwei shook his head and laughed softly. “But the outcome remains the same—you’re only at the Tribulation stage, not even on the same combat level as us!”

“Find out if I’m on the same combat level by trying!” Ye Feng’s lips curled slightly. In truth, he himself didn’t know exactly what level he had reached. He simply didn’t sense any threat from those opponents.

In the past, when faced with such strong opponents who hid their true strength, his intuition would tell him they were dangerous and he should stay away. But now, he didn’t feel that way at all, which meant they were not a threat to his life.

“Blade, don’t be foolish! You’re no match for them!” Even Gunan beside him spoke up to dissuade him. He shared the same opinion as Fat and wasn’t optimistic about Ye Feng.

Although they all knew Ye Feng could fight beyond his rank, they didn’t think his Tribulation-stage cultivation could handle opponents as powerful as those at the late Immortal stage or even stronger.

Although Bernardo and Xiao Yu had blind trust in Ye Feng, they couldn’t help but worry now.

“Boss…” Bernardo, sitting on Ye Feng’s shoulder, tugged at his collar. Xiao Yu on the other shoulder also turned his head to look at Ye Feng.

“It’s okay! I won’t do something I’m not sure about!” Ye Feng smiled and shook his head, handing the two beasts to Fat beside him. “Take care of them for me!”

“Are you really going to fight?” Fat frowned slightly.

“I have no choice. Since they refuse to let go, I have to accept the challenge!” Ye Feng shrugged seemingly helplessly, but in reality, he was somewhat excited.

After handing the beasts to Fat, Fat realized he couldn’t persuade Ye Feng. He shook his head and took the two beasts over to Lilith and the others.

Ye Feng then turned around. “Choose someone else!”

“Choose someone else? Aren’t you going to compete? I’m just itching to give it a try!” Jiuwei wasn’t expecting Ye Feng to suggest changing opponents.

“I think he’s more suitable for this kind of fight!” Ye Feng pointed at the loud-mouthed Ryan.

“Kid, you’ve got good taste!” Ryan exclaimed happily. “Jiuyi, he chose me—you’d better rest for now! Let me assess him first and see just how strong he really is!”
Jiuyi frowned slightly; clearly, she was reluctant to let Ye Feng fight this guy. But since Ye Feng had already made his choice, she had no choice but to step back reluctantly.
“Kid, don’t get killed by me so easily—otherwise, it won’t be that interesting!” Ryan wore a vicious smile.
Ye Feng ignored his words and stood still, seemingly waiting patiently for something.
Seeing that Ye Feng wasn’t paying attention to him, Ryan grew bored. “Then let’s get started!”
Ryan exerted sudden force with his feet, disappearing in an instant, leaving ripples in the void where his feet had been. Such a simple move could affect the stability of the cultivation realm’s space, showing just how powerful he was.
Fat and Gunan caught this detail clearly. They knew that although they could create similar ripples with their own strength, it would be extremely difficult to do so effortlessly.
Almost at the same time, Ye Feng moved as well, using a similar move that produced the same effect! This stunned everyone present.
Not only Fat and Gunan, but even the two men and two women on the other side were left with their mouths agape.
Ye Feng’s afterimage gradually faded, and the ripples left behind appeared astonishing to all the powerful beings there.
“How did he do that?” Fat murmured to himself.
Jiuyi seemed relieved. “It seems Ryan has truly encountered a strong rival this time!”
Roaring noises from the sky, along with massive spatial rifts, made everyone look up.
By now, no one doubted Ye Feng’s strength anymore. Everything happening in the sky proved that Ye Feng and Ryan were evenly matched.
“How is this possible?” A man behind Jiuyi stared in shock at the battlefield in the sky. “He’s only at the later stage of the Tribulation phase—how could he have such attack power?!”

“Nothing is impossible. Though I don’t know how he did it, his strength is indeed far beyond our expectations!” Jiuwei nodded. “Layne, when fighting in human form, can only display the cultivation level of a Sixth Calamity Immortal. But thanks to his innate brute strength, his attack power is no weaker than that of a Seventh Calamity Immortal—attack power on par with that of a Spirit Immortal. For this kid named Blade to be able to match him head-to-head is truly a miracle!”
