Chapter 219: Immortal Rebirth Pill

The news that Ye Feng possessed an immortal body quickly spread to many factions in the cultivation world. The first reaction of most people was disbelief, followed by shock.

This time, there were no memory crystals to record the battle. The speed and power that surpassed those of the cultivation world caused all the recording crystals present to shatter. Yet, through oral accounts, people could still imagine whether Ye Feng’s immortality was real or not. He had been killed twice, by opponents at the level of Seven Calamities Immortals—those who could never afford to fail. Yet he reappeared unharmed at the battle site, witnessed by hundreds of onlookers.

Su Rui was sitting in a place similar to a bar on Earth, drinking an alcoholic beverage as she patiently waited for news of Ye Feng’s death. A woman dressed in a tight black leather suit approached her. She had long blue hair and gray eyes, giving her a distinctly Nordic appearance.

“Hello!” The young woman sat down next to Su Rui. “I’m Lilith!”

“Good news or bad news?” Su Rui had a good memory. She remembered this woman as one of the people behind the fat man who had dealt with her that day.

“Unfortunately, we failed this mission. Here’s your necklace back! We’re giving up on this task completely!” Lilith took out the necklace from her ring.

“Not even Five Calamities Immortals could kill him?” Su Rui was filled with surprise.

“No, even those at the level of Seven Calamities Immortals failed! He has an immortal body—no one can kill him!” Lilith shook her head.

“How is that possible? An immortal body must have some weakness!” Su Rui still refused to believe it.

“As the blade itself said, even if he’s chopped into meat paste and turned into meat buns, eaten by someone, he won’t die! In other words, there’s no way to kill him!” Lilith helplessly spread her hands. “Give up! This news has already spread throughout the cultivation world. No one wants to take on this job—it will only ruin their reputation. We’re a perfect example!”

“Alright, then tell me—what’s the significance of this necklace? Why is it worth more than ten thousand top-grade spirit crystals?” Su Rui still couldn’t believe it. She planned to try to find someone else to take on this task.

“I don’t know, and I’m not interested in finding out!” Lilith had no intention of revealing the secret of the necklace. “This deal was made by our boss; only he knows what he’s thinking! I can’t see anything valuable about your necklace. Maybe what he wants isn’t the necklace after all…”
A faint smile appeared on Lilith’s lips. “My task is complete. It’s time for me to leave…”
Lilith didn’t hold much goodwill toward Suri. If not for her, Fat wouldn’t have lifted the seal, worsening his injuries. Though she was a demon, unlike most others, her conscience hadn’t been extinguished by the flames of hell. She was also grateful to Fat for taking her in.
Watching Lilith walk away, Suri murmured to herself, “I won’t give up easily. There must be someone who can kill Daofeng. Although I don’t really know what this necklace is, surely there are others willing to make this trade in exchange for Ye Feng’s life.”
“Hey, beauty! Your necklace looks pretty nice. Can you sell it to me?” A young, handsome man sat down next to Suri. “My name is Dil…”
“What price are you offering?” Suri turned to look at the handsome young man.
“Ye Feng’s life is worth more than this!” the handsome man said with a laugh, shaking his head.
“Who is Ye Feng?” Suri couldn’t help but ask.
“He’s the one you call Daofeng! Isn’t that the one you want dead?” Dil still smiled.
“Can you kill him?” Suri asked, surprised.
“How would I know unless I try? Physical attacks might not kill him, but spiritual attacks might! Besides, he’s not truly immortal; he just uses some special method to stay alive!” Dil seemed to know quite a few secrets about Ye Feng.
“What do you want?” Suri seemed determined to kill Daofeng at any cost.
“Besides the necklace, I also want you…” Dil’s lips curled into a smile.
“Me? That’s simple…” Suri leaned forward, bringing her head close to Dil’s ear and blowing gently.
“That’s not what I mean… I want your soul!” Dil turned his face slightly. Suri’s face turned pale instantly. Though she wasn’t sure what he meant by wanting her soul, it surely couldn’t be anything good.

“I always charge the other party’s soul when doing business, then help them fulfill their wishes. As for your necklace, it’s just an accessory. You should know that Ye Feng’s soul is far more valuable than yours—this deal is a sure profit for you,” Di Er whispered in Su Rui’s ear.

“Who are you?” Su Rui asked, her expression stiff as she looked at Di Er.

“You don’t need to know that! You don’t have to be nervous either. Whether to go through this deal is up to you. You can say no, and I’ll disappear right away. Of course, if you agree to the deal, we’ll need to go through some procedures. But they’re simple—probably just taking a few minutes of your time!” Di Er still wore a smile.

After hesitating for a moment, Su Rui finally made up her mind. “How does this deal work?”

“It’s simple. You sign a contract with me and give me the necklace as a deposit. Once the contract is in place, I’ll go and kill Ye Feng. After completing the task, I’ll come back for you, and then your soul will belong to me.”

“What do you mean my soul will belong to you?” Su Rui wanted to understand clearly.

“You’ll die, and your soul will be mine. Without my permission, you won’t be able to reincarnate or enter a new cycle. The reason I want to make this deal is that I need a woman by my side, and you meet my requirements.” Di Er’s reply remained calm.

“So, I’ll exist as a soul and live with you?” Su Rui roughly understood what was going on.

“That’s right!” Di Er nodded.

“What if you fail the task?” Su Rui pressed further.

“The contract will be automatically terminated! You don’t need to worry about that at all!”

“Alright then. What procedures are needed?” Only after confirming various things did Su Rui nod in agreement.

“It’s simple!” Di Er slowly moved closer to Su Rui, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her lips.

Before Su Rui could react, Di Er already let go of her.

“What did you do?” Su Rui asked, confused.

“The contract has been signed! I’ll spend a few days preparing. After completing the task, I’ll come back for you. By then, you’ll belong to me!” As soon as Di Er finished speaking, he disappeared.

……

Fate’s breath was weak, and he looked sickly, but his voice was no softer than before. “You bunch of brats, why are you staring at me with those desperate expressions? I’m not dead yet!”
“Enough, just shut up for a while!” Lilith rolled her eyes. “So noisy!”
“Uh…” Fate had no temper at all toward Lilith. Hearing her words, he deflated.
“Your injuries have stabilized for now. There shouldn’t be any problems in the short term. We can use this time to gather some relevant information and find a way to cure you!” Although Kastedio said this, his expression showed little confidence.
“Little Kast, I’m not stupid. I’ve been in this realm of cultivation for thousands of years. After sealing myself away, I also spent a lot of effort trying to heal myself. My injuries weren’t caused by ordinary things—they were caused by divine artifacts, so the wounds simply can’t heal. Even in the Heavenly Realm, the only treatment is to have an expert force out the residual energy near the wound, followed by using medicinal pills for recovery. But my body is already in pieces and can’t withstand the energy shock from forcing out that residual energy. So, there’s no cure. I’m already very satisfied to have survived this long,” Fate said, shaking his head gently.
“Boss, I once read in an ancient book about a medicinal pill called the Rebirth Pill. After taking it, it can mimic your physical condition and create a new body. The new body will be exactly like the original, with no rejection reaction. You can transfer your consciousness into the immortal infant and enter the new body to be reborn. This pill was created from the start to prevent such situations where the physical body is too damaged to function. I also stumbled upon it while researching information about scattered immortals,” suggested a Fourth Calamity Scattered Immortal.
“Stop saying things that sound like you’re going to die!” Fate rolled his eyes at him.
“You know about this?” Lilith immediately turned to look at Fate.
“Uh… yes, that’s why I wanted the key to the treasure. I wanted to try my luck and see if there’s such a thing in it! After all, it’s impossible to get it elsewhere!” Fate confessed openly.
“So, using the key to get money was also a lie!” Lilith was completely speechless. “Can’t you tell us the truth? We’re family!”
“Fate, you shouldn’t have hidden it from us!” Kastedio also sided with Lilith.

“Well, I was wrong… I’m guilty… But that thing can’t possibly exist in the cultivation world…” Fat shook his head helplessly.
“You don’t need to worry about that. We’ll find a way to get it. From now on, stay here obediently and don’t even think about going out to flirt!” Lilith took on a leadership role at this moment, turning to the former scattered immortal. “Old Cui, keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn’t leave!”
