Chapter 163: The Law of Time

“Shuman!”
The other four were instantly shocked upon seeing this and had no idea what had happened.
“Damn it! Who attacked me from behind?”
At that moment, Shuman, now without a head, let out a furious roar. A new head grew back from his neck, but his face was extremely pale, clearly suffering severe damage to his vital energy.
At this point, the five relaxed slightly, and the laws governing their domain slowed down. Fu Yun seized the opportunity and thrust his long sword into the void. The hundred-meter-long sword beam unleashed waves of the Law of Virtual Gods, splitting the overlapping domains of the five and allowing him to escape instantly.
“It’s that guy’s accomplices. Be careful,” Lian Shang warned. He wasn’t concerned about Fu Yun’s escape, as the presence of five experts at the fifth level of the domain realm made it impossible for Fu Yun to flee.
Soon, the shattered domains reassembled. Although Fu Yun had split the five domains, he only separated them—not like before, when he had used the Virtual God Temple to burst open Lian Shang’s domain. But the reassembled domains no longer trapped Fu Yun’s body. They all retracted their domains around themselves and devoted half of their focus to monitoring their surroundings.
Though they had all mastered the Law of Immortality and could regrow their heads even after being severed, the cost was enormous.
……
“Shadow is truly formidable. With the strength of a ninth-tier abuser, he managed to attack an expert at the fifth level of the domain realm and even blow off their head.”
Outside the King’s City of Atlantis, Chen Xiao hid among some rocks. With the full power of the Primordial God’s strength, driven by the Yu Zi Jue technique, his body was disguised as a drop of seawater.
“If I use the Power of Time, can I kill an expert at the fifth level of the domain realm?” Chen Xiao pondered.
“Young master, they were fighting Fu Yun with all their might and weren’t on guard, which is why I was able to attack successfully. As for blowing off his head, it was entirely thanks to the Virtual God Dagger in my hand,” Shadow’s voice echoed in Chen Xiao’s mind. “Now that they’re on guard, even if I use the Power of Time, I can only exert the strength of the Origin Realm or the first level of the domain realm—far too weak to harm them.”
“I see,” Chen Xiao nodded, understanding. Then, with a mental command, he sent Shadow back to the Primordial God’s space.
“Fu Yun, how’s the situation?”
Chen Xiao’s voice reached Fu Yun’s mind through the connection between their faiths.
“Young master?” Fu Yun was startled but showed no outward change. “Is it you?”
“Don’t make a sound,” Chen Xiao asked quietly. “Have you obtained the incantation to activate the Blessing of the Sea God?”
“I have. Not only that, I also seized the last artifact, the Glory of the Sea God, from that Sea King’s hands. But if not for that, I likely wouldn’t have been discovered by those five and exposed.”

Floating Cloud’s voice carried a hint of self-reproach. By revealing himself here, stealing the memories of the sacrifices at the Sea God Temple, and seizing the glory of the Sea God, it proved that everything that had happened before was deeply connected to the Glory Temple.
“That’s fine,” Chen Xiao’s eyes lit up instantly. “You did well this time. As for revealing your whereabouts—well, it’s already happened, so it doesn’t matter.”
“So, young master, what should we do now?” Although Chen Xiao had arrived, Floating Cloud didn’t think he could help him escape, unless the gods in the Main God’s Space could exert all their strength.
“Integrate the fragments of the Time Law you obtained earlier into your soul. I’ll use the power of faith to help you comprehend the Time Law,” Chen Xiao said after some deliberation.
Floating Cloud’s eyes shone. He knew well that Chen Xiao’s power of faith was extremely precious. To merge the Main God’s essence and enhance his subordinates’ strength required vast amounts of faith power. And for Floating Cloud to understand the Time Law—even with a few fragments—he still needed all of the faith power Chen Xiao currently possessed.
However, now that Chen Xiao had the blessing of the Sea God, he could use that blessing to strengthen his subordinates without relying on faith power.
Faith power was rather unreliable when used to enhance the strength of those below the Domain Realm; it only truly served its purpose when helping those above the Domain Realm comprehend laws. In comparison, the blessing power within the Sea God’s blessing was more suitable for ablers.
“White-haired man, whose subordinate are you exactly? Why do you keep opposing us?”
The blond youth, Feng Ying, stared at Floating Cloud and asked coldly.
“Opposing you?” Floating Cloud shrugged. “What a joke. From start to finish, I’ve been inside the temple—never leaving. How could I oppose you? It’s that guy with the green hat—he showed up right away, targeted me, and then teamed up with two mermaids to attack my doorstep. Hehe, who’s actually opposing whom here?”
While silently absorbing the faith power from Chen Xiao, Floating Cloud continued to engage in verbal battles with the five people above him.
“Hmph, it’s useless to say anything now. Things have come to this point—do you really think we’ll let you go?” Lian Shang sneered. “Hand over the Statue of Freedom, and I’ll let you die quickly, without suffering.”
By now, Floating Cloud had somewhat guessed their origins. Lian Shang referred to them as pawns of a Void God—likely these people were sent by a Void God to Earth, into the world of ablers. Their goal, obviously, was the Tianlong Secret.
“Kill me? Hmph, after killing me, aren’t you afraid that my master will step in and wipe you out?” Floating Cloud said with a smile, showing no concern at all.
By now, Chen Xiao had sent all of his faith power into Floating Cloud’s soul, accelerating the growth of the fragment of the Time Law already there and helping it merge fully with Floating Cloud’s soul.

“With this mission completed, our master will break through to the Virtual God stage and become a true deity. Why would we still fear some mere Virtual God behind you?” Lingxing glanced at Fuyun as if he were an idiot.
“But I don’t understand. Why would that Virtual God behind you send you—a mere practitioner at the fourth level of the Domain realm who has just grasped the laws of space—to deal with us? If it were a practitioner who has mastered the laws of time and used a Virtual God artifact, none of us five could have stopped you.”
Fengying’s pale golden eyes flickered continuously, as if he were deep in thought, calculating something.
“Is that so?” Fuyun raised his head, a sinister smile playing on his lips. “That red-haired handsome guy, do you think I’m handsome?”
Fuyun suddenly changed the subject, smiling wickedly at Lingxing.
“Lingxing, be careful. This guy seems to like men. I’m afraid you’ve already become his target,” Lian Shang said, looking at Lingxing with a hint of schadenfreude.
“A man who likes men?” Lingxing shuddered involuntarily and instinctively moved closer to Fengying, seemingly trying to divert the danger.
Although Fuyun was now under their control, being stared at like that still made Lingxing uneasy.
“Disgusting guy. Lian Shang, Fengying, Shu Man, Lian Er—go ahead.” A cold glint appeared in Lingxing’s eyes.
“Attack now, use all your strength to kill him immediately. I’ll keep watch around here to prevent that hidden guy from launching another ambush,” Shu Man said in a muffled voice.
The other four nodded, but just as they were about to act, they suddenly saw Fuyun strike first. His long sword split into five hundred-meter-long sword beams, which arrived above their heads almost instantly.
“The laws of time! Damn it, when did he master those laws?” Lian Shang cried out immediately.
Having mastered the laws of time and wielding a Virtual God artifact, Fuyun could now escape unimpeded. In a desperate move, he could even injure one of them.
A master who has mastered the laws of time is extremely skilled at escaping.
That long sword was crafted by Chou Hen specifically for Fuyun, perfectly matching his own elemental energy. With the laws of time mastered, Fuyun unleashed even more power from his Virtual God, charging at the five of them.
“Be careful,” Fengying warned. A sword appeared in his hand as well—a spear with formidable elemental power that rushed headlong toward Fuyun’s sword beams.
“Huh? It’s virtual?”
Fengying’s spear moved like a rushing torrent, effortlessly destroying Fuyun’s sword beams.
The others—Lingxing and Lian Er—easily blocked Fuyun’s attacks as well.
“No good!”
They reacted instantly, but it was already too late.
“Ah—!”
With a scream, Shu Man’s body was split in two by those terrifying sword beams, along with the weapon in his hand. Already weakened from the ambush, he couldn’t withstand Fuyun’s full-force strike at all, and his entire body was torn apart.

“Time, speed up for me!”
Fuyun injured Shuman without hesitation, then immediately channeled the power of the laws, disappearing from their sight.
Fuyun had only grasped the basic laws of time, and compared to veterans like Lian Shang who were at the fifth level of their domain, he still had a long way to go. Although he could gain an advantage in the short term thanks to the virtual divine artifact in his hands, he would eventually suffer the consequences over time.
As for Shuman, who had already suffered a severe blow with his head blown off and was greatly weakened, he was now split in two—essentially, he had lost his combat capability for now.
“My virtual divine transmission array is lost; I must inform Lord Cassius.” After seeing Fuyun leave, Lian Shang hesitated for a long time before finally making up his mind.
“Mm, since Shuman is also severely injured and unable to fight, we must report the situation here to the Virtual Divine Lord,” Ling Xing nodded as well.
