Chapter 111: Fan Mang
Chen Xiao’s expression changed upon hearing the other party’s words.
“Why should I tell you? What benefit would it bring me?” Though tired, the voice showed no regard for the four people beside Chen Xiao at all. After all, this guy’s subordinates were all Level 8 fierce spirits; in his eyes, those four Level 7 psychics were nothing at all.
“You’re already severely injured, aren’t you?” Suddenly, the effeminate Meng Fei spoke up.
“Even if I’m severely injured, I can crush you all like bugs,” the voice replied arrogantly upon hearing Meng Fei’s words.
Hearing this, the four divine disciples showed no signs of anger. They turned to look at Chen Xiao simultaneously.
Chen Xiao shrugged and said nothing.
“I, personally, forgive your ignorance. If my young master refuses to forgive you, I’ll even risk destroying my own soul to kill you right here. Do you believe that?”
Meng Fei’s voice grew colder. Though still delicate like a woman’s, the killing intent within it made even those blood-red Level 8 fierce spirits back away slightly, watching him warily with one eye.
The voice, however, merely snorted in disdain, clearly not believing him.
“Meng Fei, your life is far more precious than his. It’s not worth it to do this,” Chen Xiao said, then stepped forward slowly.
“You can choose not to speak, but I have a way to dissipate all the pure yin energy here, exposing you completely to the pure yang energy. What do you think?” Chen Xiao’s tone was filled with sarcasm.
Sure enough, upon hearing Chen Xiao’s words, the voice in the center of the graveyard fell silent again. Chen Xiao had already shown that Death Water could absorb the pure yin energy here.
Although there was a Pure Yin Eye below, it wasn’t infinite. If Chen Xiao summoned a river of Death Water to flood it, that Pure Yin Eye would likely vanish instantly.
Death Water was the power of water once controlled by the Water Deity, not something of this mortal world. Even the owner of that voice couldn’t fully grasp its true power.
In the center of this graveyard, the pure yin energy was extremely dense, almost blocking all vision.
Slowly, a tall, slender figure emerged from the thick mist.
It was a man with an eerie appearance—black hair reaching his waist, glowing black eyes, and a long black robe adorned with various strange patterns.
“You’re the first to threaten the Ghost King,” the eerie man said, his face slightly pale, with a faint sinister smile on his lips.
“Ghost King? So you really come from the netherworld,” Chen Xiao said with a smile as he looked at the man. This was the human world. Aside from this pass surrounded by pure yin energy, every other place was filled with pure yang energy. Even the Ghost King’s core body would be eroded and damaged by it.
Moreover, Chen Xiao had access to his own Deity Space, allowing him to flee at any time, so he wasn’t afraid of this Ghost King.
What Chen Xiao didn’t know was that in the netherworld, only those at Level 9 could earn the title of Ghost King.
“The netherworld has nothing in common with the human world. After death, the soul is merely driven by the laws to reach the netherworld. How could you come to the human world?” Chen Xiao asked in confusion.
The Ghost King examined Chen Xiao carefully, his brows slightly furrowing. In his perception, this human youth only possessed the strength of the fourth rank, but upon closer inspection, he found it impossible to see through him—his fourth-rank strength seemed to be merely an illusion.
The Ghost King had to reassess Chen Xiao. Moreover, he noticed the other four as well. Although they all showed signs of seventh-rank strength fluctuations, their bodies contained incredibly powerful forces—so powerful that even this ninth-rank Ghost King felt fear.
“It seems that guy who looks like both a man and a woman was right. If he really ignored everything, he could easily kill me.”
The Ghost King narrowed his eyes, pondering various pros and cons in his mind.
“My name is Xiao Mang, Ghost King Xiao Mang.” Instead of answering Chen Xiao’s question, the Ghost King introduced himself.
Chen Xiao was stunned for a moment before saying, “Chen Xiao.”
At this point, Chen Xiao grew anxious. These four divine disciples had a limited time here, and once that time ran out, he himself would have nowhere to escape.
With a mental command, Suo Hen and Meng Fei immediately returned to the Main God’s Space. Time resumed its normal flow.
Mu Mu and Gui Gui were originally one entity, belonging to the same summoning quota. Though they were two people, only one’s time was consumed.
Xiao Mang’s expression changed when Meng Fei and Suo Hen suddenly disappeared. He hadn’t noticed any spatial fluctuations or even spiritual energy fluctuations around him.
“Could this not be a summoning spell?”
Summoning spells were actually a type of supernatural ability, but here, Xiao Mang failed to detect the spiritual energy fluctuations emitted by such abilities. Now, he dared not act rashly.
Chen Xiao hadn’t expected that merely worrying about time consumption and sending Suo Hen and Meng Fei back would intimidate Xiao Mang so much.
“Ghost King Xiao Mang, you still haven’t answered my question. How did you get here?” Seeing Xiao Mang’s expression changing constantly, Chen Xiao sneered inwardly. At the same time, he connected his mind to the Main God’s Space, ready to escape at the slightest sign of trouble.
Not long ago, through Shui Miao’s arrangements in the Main God’s Space, the connection between those two supernatural crystals had linked the Main God’s Space with the Thousand Souls Realm. In other words, Chen Xiao could now directly travel from the Main God’s Space to the Thousand Souls Realm without any time delay. To others, it seemed as though Chen Xiao had disappeared out of thin air.
So now, Chen Xiao acted with somewhat reckless confidence.
“I don’t know what kind of power lies behind you, nor who you are. But I do know that right now, you have no right to speak to me like this. I am strong, and you are weak,” Xiao Mang said with a cold laugh.
“Is that so?”
Chen Xiao narrowed his eyes, which instantly turned crystal blue. A terrifying pressure radiated from his eyes.
“This is…”
