Chapter 007: Dragon Battle

The red light that had attacked Du Fan had stopped. After it ceased, a young man dressed in a fiery red robe stood in front of Du Fan.
“Your skills are truly remarkable!” the man in red exclaimed, seeing Du Fan constantly change directions in mid-air before reappearing right in front of him.
“Same here! Judging by your cultivation level, you’re only at the Saint rank. Yet you possess such great strength,” Du Fan said, looking at the young man in red. Ever since Rob discovered new functions of the True Eye, Du Fan had also accelerated his training with it.
After some time of practice, Du Fan could now instantly determine someone’s cultivation level. This man in red was merely at the level of a Saint-class warrior.
“Not bad. I may be just a Saint, but the cultivation method I practice is nothing ordinary,” the young man in red said proudly upon hearing Du Fan’s words.
“Just a Saint rank!” Seeing the arrogance of the young man in red, Du Fan immediately felt anger rise.
As soon as Du Fan became enraged, the young man in red felt his entire body tighten, and then he found himself suddenly standing in front of Du Fan.
It was Du Fan using his space transfer ability to bring the young man right beside him. As soon as the young man was brought close, Du Fan delivered a simple punch.
Du Fan controlled the power of this punch perfectly, sending the young man in red flying over thirty meters away.
“Brat! Just because you’re at the Saint rank, you think you can act so arrogantly? You deserve to be beaten!” Du Fan laughed as he sent the young man flying with a punch.
The young man in red was clearly an arrogant person. Being knocked flying dozens of meters in front of so many people made him lose all composure. He got up from the ground, rubbed his hands together, and created a rapidly spinning whirlwind that rushed toward Du Fan.
This young man in red could even cast the seventh-level magic, Wind Drill.
Wind Drill involved spinning a whirlwind at high speed. With that powerful spinning wind, it could easily break through Du Fan’s defenses and cause damage.
“Great!” Du Fan shouted as he saw the Wind Drill heading toward him.
Using wind magic in front of a master of wind-based techniques—wasn’t that pure humiliation?

The red-clothed youth’s Wind Drill was merely an introduction. As soon as it was unleashed, he rushed forward, picked up a gleaming golden sword, and thrust it at Du Fan in one swift strike. It seemed the red-clothed youth still didn’t know that Du Fan was already a realm powerhouse. Since he had once sent Du Fan flying with a single move, in the red-clothed youth’s eyes, Du Fan was strong, but not that strong. Coupled with the feeling from the punch Du Fan had dealt him, which seemed to be on par with his own strength, Du Fan was merely regarded as a high-level expert at the Saint level in his eyes. Seeing the red-clothed youth launch a Wind Drill and charge at him, Du Fan smirked. Reaching out, he grabbed straight for the Wind Drill. His hand, like a black hole, silently captured the rapidly approaching, spinning Wind Drill. As the red-clothed youth closed in, Du Fan delivered another quick punch! But this time, he didn’t use his realm skill. Instead, he transformed the Wind Drill in his hand into wind energy, combined it with some of his own energy, and a massive wind blade slashed down at the red-clothed youth! Loaded with immense energy, the red-clothed youth chose not to engage directly but quickly dodged to the side. As he did, Du Fan also darted away, his fist still poised to attack, and punched the red-clothed youth in the chest once more! That punch sent the red-clothed youth flying far away again! Getting back on his feet, the red-clothed youth spat out a mouthful of blood! This time, Du Fan had applied more force! Just as the red-clothed youth fell to the ground again, several people suddenly appeared from behind—men and women, old and young. Seeing the red-clothed youth stand up, they all flew down from the air and gathered around him. “Long Zhan, are you alright?” asked a woman dressed in elegant robes immediately. An air of nobility radiated from her. It turned out the red-clothed youth’s name was Long Zhan. “I’m fine, but that person is truly too strong,” Long Zhan said, wiping the blood from his mouth. “Oh, so many people came at once!” Seeing the five sudden experts, George and Allen quickly reined in their magical beasts and came to Du Fan’s side.

“Long Zhan, we arrived a bit late, which caused you to get injured.” Seeing the blood at the corner of Long Zhan’s mouth, the beautifully dressed woman spoke with deep regret. As she spoke, ignoring the many people around her, she took out a handkerchief and wiped the blood from Long Zhan’s mouth.

Long Zhan remained motionless, allowing the woman in fine clothes to wipe the blood from his mouth.

“Hey, you kid over there! You hurt Long Zhan—I won’t let you off easy!” The woman in fine clothes suddenly shouted at Du Fan.

As she spoke, she suddenly waved her long robes and soared into the air, heading straight for Du Fan. Mid-air, she opened her mouth, and a fiery red beam shot toward Du Fan.

Seeing the red beam, Du Fan narrowed his eyes. Quickly, he realized that the beam was actually flame—only that the woman had used some technique to compress it into a thin beam! As a result, this compressed beam was much hotter and more penetrating than the original flame.

Realizing the power of this compressed flame beam, Du Fan moved swiftly, releasing the domain he had just acquired.

He deliberately kept the domain within a 30-meter radius. Within that area around Du Fan, everything appeared gray and dim.

The fiery red beam entered this gray domain, and the beam heading toward Du Fan immediately stopped, but the beams behind it continued moving forward. Soon, a light sphere the size of a pigeon egg appeared within Du Fan’s domain.

That light sphere exuded a terrifying red glow! At a glance, it was clear that it contained a fierce flame power!

With a thought, Du Fan used spatial manipulation to move the light sphere and sent it crashing onto a tent. With the impact, a loud explosion echoed from that spot, and the tent was completely destroyed, creating a crater over fifty meters in diameter!

The power contained within that pigeon-egg-sized light sphere was truly terrifying!

Looking at the huge crater, Du Fan suddenly thought that if he could turn that substance into explosives, its power would increase several times over! Moreover, it would be small in size, making it easy to carry!

While still thinking, chaotic voices came from the other side: “A domain expert!”

The few people who had been calm just now immediately showed signs of panic on their faces. It was simply laughable to think of winning when facing a Saint-level opponent with a domain! At this moment, Long Zhan’s expression also kept changing; it seemed that Du Fan’s actions earlier were either meant to tease him or to show restraint on purpose.

“Your cultivation is extremely high. Do you intend to rely on your domain skills as a strong warrior to defeat us of the Frozen Alliance?” Long Zhan asked angrily.

“You’re Long Zhan, right? I’m Du Fan, the third son of Duke Green. According to our emperor, you Frozen Alliance are colluding with the remnants of the Purple Blossom Clan, so we have no choice but to attack you,” Du Fan said promptly upon seeing Long Zhan’s furious expression.

“Hmph! Some of our principalities do have dealings with the descendants of the Purple Blossom Clan, but to claim there’s collusion between us? Your Highness Fische is really good at jumping to conclusions. Besides, just because of these mere possibilities, you attack our Frozen Alliance? Does your Highness Fische think she’s the ruler of this continent?” Hearing Du Fan’s words, Long Zhan grew even more enraged.

No wonder. How could they show kindness toward invaders? Unless they were spies.

“That’s none of my concern. My task is only to defeat your vanguard and search for the remnants of the Purple Blossom Clan. Also, if you voluntarily capture their leaders and hand them over to us, we won’t pursue further,” Du Fan said to Long Zhan.

“Impossible!” Upon hearing this, Long Zhan immediately refused. “Even if Lord Oscar is in my camp right now, I will never hand him over to you,” he declared firmly.

“Why make things harder? Just because of a few outsiders, do you really want to become enemies with our Gavin Empire?” Du Fan asked after Long Zhan’s sudden refusal.

“How could the countries of the Frozen Alliance be bullied by you! We may be defeated, but we won’t be intimidated!” Long Zhan retorted fiercely. “If you really want to find the descendants of the Purple Blossom Clan, and if they’re hidden somewhere in our territory, then defeat us first, and search however you like!”

“Ah, it sounds like we’ve come all this way just to bully you,” Du Fan joked, unable to resist given Long Zhan’s serious tone.

Seeing more and more people gathering around, Du Fan said, “Elder brother, second brother, I think it’s time for us to leave!”

“Killed so many of us, and you just want to leave like that?” Several figures flew over. It was clearly a middle-aged man at the Saint level who spoke coldly.
“Do you expect to keep us around for lunch?” Hearing this, Du Fan laughed heartily.
“I already knew there were domain experts among our enemies this time. Do you think we came unprepared?” The middle-aged man suddenly waved his hand, and six Saint-level experts, including Long Zhan, immediately formed a circle, tightly surrounding Du Fan, George, and Allen.
As these six people continuously emitted various types of energy, Du Fan and his companions soon felt as though space itself was encircling them!
While Du Fan’s group was reinforcing Chihu City, the Icebound Alliance also began sending more troops to assist in the siege. The reinforcements from both sides arrived almost simultaneously—one after the other. Thus, when George, Allen, and Du Fan started slaughtering wildly within the Icebound Alliance, reinforcements from other duchies began arriving one after another.
Knowing about the existence of domain experts in the Northern Army, the other countries of the Icebound Alliance also sent many skilled fighters this time! With a long history of cooperation, these six Saint-level experts immediately joined forces to set up a confinement formation!
Until this formation was broken, Du Fan and his two brothers had no choice but to stay inside it!
