Chapter 007: Go Away
Naixiu glanced at Komhan’s position and nodded, saying, “No problem.”
“Alright, Naixiu, take out that old man,” Du Fan said, waving his hand firmly. His approach was similar to the execution methods he was familiar with in his past life—capture the leader first!
Naixiu raised her long bow, not using the Eternal Bow at all. Of course, she still wore the Elf King’s Ring on her finger; it was merely to activate its protective effects.
Seeing Du Fan’s serious tone, Naixiu decided to deliver a fatal strike to Komhan!
Below the city walls, among the Karu allied forces, the six Holy Rank warriors guarding Komhan also noticed Naixiu drawing her bow, ready to shoot. The six Holy Rank warriors immediately summoned their blazing combat auras, turning into six flame-like, sacred warriors who surrounded Komhan even more tightly, watching Naixiu’s every move closely.
Protected by the full power of the six Holy Rank warriors’ auras, Komhan naturally saw Naixiu drawing her bow from afar. Yet, with their protection, he felt confident. If those six Holy Rank warriors couldn’t even block Naixiu’s arrow, then there was nothing he could do if she intended to kill him.
Watching Naixiu aim her arrow at him and the six Holy Rank warriors around her, Komhan even smiled.
In Du Fan and Naixiu’s eyes, it seemed Komhan was saying, “Are you really going to kill me from such a distance, with those six Holy Rank warriors protecting me?”
That smile carried a sense of protection, along with a hint of pride and mockery.
Unfortunately, that smile soon became Komhan’s last smile in this world.
Naixiu released her fingers from the bowstring. A wisp of smoke emerged from the bowstring—light green smoke, with a flash of green light.
The six Holy Rank warriors immediately noticed Naixiu releasing the bowstring. They stared intently in her direction, adopting a serious expression, trying to trace the trajectory of her arrow and intercept it mid-air.
But soon, they realized Naixiu’s arrow hadn’t been shot. Just as they were shocked, a muffled thud came from behind them.
The few Holy Rank warriors guarding Komhan turned around to see an arrow embedded in his head—the arrow had pierced straight through it.
Killed in one shot! Such an arrow piercing through the head—not even the gods could save him.
The already dead Komhan still wore a hint of pride and mockery on his face. It seemed he never expected to die from just such an arrow. From his expression, it appeared he died quite comfortably.
“Leader!” Several saints shouted. Komhan’s cultivation was only at the level of a seventh-grade dwarf warrior. Nai Xiu used her domain arrow, which traversed space and time to shoot straight through Komhan’s forehead. Thus, Komhan’s defenses couldn’t possibly stop Nai Xiu’s arrow.
“Leader!” The leader also cried out.
With these shouts, many warriors of the Bilu tribe heard them and turned toward the source of the noise—Komhan’s location.
That’s when they saw Komhan fall to the ground after being struck by the arrow. “Leader!” Many Bilu warriors shouted.
It was obvious that such an arrow had pierced his entire skull—Komhan could not possibly survive.
“Komhan of the Bilu tribe has been killed!” Seeing this, Leibao immediately shouted.
“Brothers, Komhan is dead! Follow me!” Some captains and squad leaders of the Black Tiger Knights also shouted right away.
On any battlefield, the death of the commander-in-chief is a devastating blow to morale. Leibao and those who shouted that Komhan was dead quickly caused chaos among the Bilu tribe warriors.
The army was already in disarray, and the sudden death of their commander plunged their morale to rock bottom.
Just as the morale of the dwarf warriors in the allied forces hit its lowest point, Basha intensified his attacks. Especially the Black Tiger Knights, like tigers among sheep, charged fiercely to kill. This time, Leibao learned from his previous mistake and didn’t hold back at all!
“The leader is dead! Let’s flee quickly!” Someone in the Karu allied forces shouted. This cry was like a fuse igniting a powder barrel, quickly causing a strong reaction among the Karu allied forces, especially among the Bilu tribe warriors. Those warriors kept shouting, “Flee quickly! The leader is dead! We’re going to lose!”
Immediately, all the Bilu tribe warriors began retreating in a tide-like rush!
A defeat is as sudden as a mountain collapsing! What does that mean? The current situation is the best example—those dwarf warriors who were fighting desperately, with nothing but the thought of escaping, fled the battlefield at full speed! The battlefield quickly turned into a surging tide that spread rapidly in the direction of the Karu allied forces’ retreat!
The screams of the Karu allied forces being killed, along with the thunderous battle cries of Basha’s Black Panther Knights, combined to create an atmosphere as if the earth itself were splitting apart.
Seeing that defeat was inevitable, the tribal leader immediately retreated along with six Holy Rank warriors, protecting Komhan’s body.
“Not good!” Tek cursed when he saw the Karu army retreating. He was currently fighting Moses in the air.
The retreat of the Bilu tribe naturally triggered a chain reaction among the Dodge tribe. The Bilu tribe was a key component of this allied force, and once their warriors retreated, those of the Dodge tribe retreated even faster. The Dodge tribe was already at the back of the allied forces, and they mainly consisted of 20,000 cavalrymen.
“Tek, if you don’t leave now, you might not be able to go later,” Moses said as they exchanged punches again.
“Hmph, even if all of you come, I can still leave whenever I want,” Tek replied nonchalantly. He moved swiftly, flew behind Moses, and punched him in the back.
Tek’s domain had been broken by Moses, so he couldn’t release it again for a while. Meanwhile, Moses’s domain, having broken through Tek’s, had also exhausted all its energy.
At this point, neither could release their domains, so they continued to fight with punches in the air.
As those people retreated, several experts from Basha’s side flew into the air, surrounding Tek.
Moses, Leibao, Du Fan, and Lian Naixiu also flew up.
“Do you want to surround me?” Seeing so many people approaching, Tek wasn’t nervous at all. Instead, he stopped fighting and said with a smile.
Du Fan frowned. “Tek, you’d better leave. We won’t make things difficult for you.”
“Why should I leave? Do you really think a few of you can hold me back?” Tek asked.
“Do you really think you’re stronger than that Flame Demon?” Du Fan said seriously.
Hearing Du Fan’s words, Tek’s heart skipped a beat.
“Did you kill the Flaming Demon?” Tek asked. From Du Fan’s words, Tek could roughly guess what he meant.
“If not, how could we have gotten out?” Du Fan replied with a slight smile.
Hearing Du Fan’s words, Tek looked at him in confusion.
“You still don’t believe me?” Du Fan asked.
“I know how powerful the Flaming Demon is. I wouldn’t dare provoke him lightly. You say you killed him—I really doubt it,” Tek said.
No wonder. During the fight earlier, Du Fan’s cultivation level had increased a bit, but not enough to be capable of killing the Flaming Demon, Tek thought.
Du Fan flipped his wrist, and several Flaming Demon Stones appeared in his hand.
Seeing the stones, Tek’s expression changed instantly. Of course, he knew that Flaming Demon Stones were strange stones formed from the body of the Flaming Demon after it was killed!
Such stones contained vast amounts of earth and fire elements!
“Flaming Demon Stones! Du Fan, you really killed the Flaming Demon!” Tek finally believed Du Fan.
“If I hadn’t killed him, how would I have these stones?” Du Fan said.
“Well, Second Leader Tek, I still say the same thing—if you leave now, I won’t trouble you,” Du Fan said, smiling as usual.
After staring at Du Fan for a moment, Tek suddenly laughed and said, “Though I still don’t fully believe you killed the Flaming Demon, with those stones in your hand, I have to be cautious. Du Fan, since you let me go this time, if you really did kill it, I’ll be grateful. But if you’re trying to trick me, I’ll remember you too.”
Suddenly, Tek put his index finger and thumb in his mouth, and a sharp whistle sounded. In the distance, that strange golden eagle flew swiftly over.
Climbing onto the eagle, Tek disappeared into the sky in no time.
“Third brother, why did you let him go?” Basha asked in confusion.
Having watched Du Fan and Tek negotiate earlier, Basha and the others didn’t dare interject. They also trusted Du Fan’s judgment. It was only after Tek left that Basha spoke up.
“Second brother, don’t you find it strange?” Du Fan asked. “On the side of the magical beasts, there’s always only one Second Leader.”
“That’s true. What does that mean?” Basha pressed further.
Basha really admired his younger brother, so he wanted to hear Du Fan’s opinion.
“I think this means that the Warcraft side still doesn’t want to get involved in the dwarf civil war. Of course, at least for now. Tek’s appearance is likely just his own action,” said Du Fan.
“Second brother, think about it—if the Warcraft side joins forces with Karu and the others, do we still have a chance to defeat them?” Du Fan asked again.
“I’m afraid we have no chance at all,” said Bashaton after a pause.
The strength of the Warcraft side is already sufficient to rival that of the dwarves. If they fully back Karu, Bashaton truly has no confidence at all.
Many races within the Warcraft world are extremely powerful, and with such a variety of creatures, most of whom possess unique innate skills, fighting against them certainly won’t be as easy as fighting the dwarves. Those complex races will add many variables to the war.
