Chapter 018: The Yifu Tribe
The three magicians hadn’t finished casting their spells yet. Seeing this situation, they quickly unleashed their magic, and soon the road was covered with trees and bushes of all sizes!
Watching this scene, the Purple Gold Dwarf remained standing motionless.
When the enemy troops reached the Purple Gold Dwarf, he suddenly split into four groups with a loud noise. The Metal Four Brothers of the Tata family fell to the ground, unconscious!
It seemed that the fusion technique used earlier had taken a heavy toll on the four of them, along with significant backlash!
“You four, carry them back,” ordered a dwarf with a long scar on his face, the leader of the group.
“The rest, continue chasing after me!” With a wave of his hand, he led his men in pursuit of the direction where Du Fan and the others had disappeared.
By the time they cleared a path through the trees and bushes, Du Fan, Naixiu, and the others were already gone!
Dawn was breaking. On the back of a mountain in the Twilight Mountains, a group of six people was running fast. These six were Du Fan, Naixiu, Basha, and the three magicians, who had resumed their escape.
“I’m exhausted!” Basha cried out.
The group had been running at full speed for three hours! Dwarves were not known for their endurance, and Basha was the first to give up.
Although Du Fan had his lightness magic, running at full speed for three hours was too much even for him, despite being a Saint-level warrior.
Additionally, Du Fan was a wind mage, Naixiu was a domain expert, and both had bathed in the Spring of Life, giving them incredible recovery abilities.
The three magicians were dual-element mages, each with their own unique flight spells. Thus, they could cast a spell to fly just above the ground at a very low altitude, allowing them to remain undetected by their pursuers. All Basha could do was rely on his own endurance and strength to keep running fast.
“Let’s take a break. They must have gone in the wrong direction. We haven’t encountered any of the magic barriers we set up in half an hour,” said one of the magicians.
Along the escape route, the three magicians kept setting up magic barriers. Their purpose was twofold: first, they used dark-element magic, making it difficult even for domain experts to detect them; second, whenever someone triggered a barrier, the mage who created it would immediately sense it.
“Run for another half hour!” Du Fan said, then cast another spell of flight and lightness on Basha. This allowed Basha to fly in the air and rest for a few minutes. Throughout the journey so far, Du Fan had only dared to use the lightness spell on Basha, never the flight spell—since if Basha flew, it would clearly reveal their location to the enemies. Now that the mage said the enemy hadn’t encountered the magical barrier for half an hour, Du Fan felt relieved and cast a flight spell on Basha.
“Second brother, where is the nearest dwarf tribe to us?” Du Fan asked.
“To the left ahead, about thirty li away, there’s the Yifu tribe,” Basha replied, pointing left ahead while flying.
“What’s your relationship with them?” Du Fan asked.
“It’s pretty good. At least, they’ve never opposed my father’s actions. Also, since this tribe is relatively close to our city of Grass, their chief often visits Grass City. I’m quite familiar with their chief,” Basha said.
“Then let’s head to the Yifu tribe first,” Du Fan said. “Second brother, lead the way!”
Ten minutes later, under everyone’s gaze, a dwarf tribe appeared in the distance. This dwarf tribe wasn’t built underground—not all dwarves lived underground. Constructing an underground city required too much time, effort, and resources. Grass, as the capital of the dwarves and known as the greatest underground city on the road, could only accommodate two to three hundred thousand people. It wasn’t that the residents of Grass didn’t want to expand the city—it was simply that building an underground city came at an extremely high cost!
The Yifu tribe, one of the many dwarf tribes, had a population of only seventy to eighty thousand. From afar, it looked like a cluster of large and small stone houses scattered across a relatively flat area in the Dusk Mountains. Though called flat, it was only moderately so. In the middle of the Yifu tribe flowed a river about a hundred meters wide, surrounded by dense grasslands, with countless cattle and sheep in the grass. It seemed the dwarves of the Yifu tribe made raising livestock their main occupation.
Seeing Basha out of breath, Du Fan said with a smile, “Second brother, take a break first. Wait until you’re not out of breath before we go in.”
After taking a few deep breaths, Basha nodded, his face red.
Ten minutes later, Basha led Du Fan and the others to the Yifu tribe.
Just as they were about to approach the Yifu tribe, a noise came from the surrounding bushes, and seven or eight dwarf knights riding large goats appeared. Seeing these dwarf knights on goats, Du Fan felt amused. Could these dwarf knights on goats really go to battle? Anyone with even a basic understanding of military affairs knew that goats were extremely timid animals. On the battlefield, before fighting even began, the tense atmosphere alone would likely paralyze such timid creatures. Moreover, these dwarfs’ height meant that only these goats were suitable for them to ride. Riding horses? Most dwarfs couldn’t even jump onto them! With an average height of around 1.3 meters, even if they rode horses into battle, they couldn’t utilize the advantages of cavalry. “Dwarfs, humans, elves. What brings you to the great Yifu tribe?” asked the leading dwarf goat knight loudly. “Esteemed knight, I am Basha, the lord of Grass City. I have matters to discuss with your chieftain,” Basha hurriedly replied. “You’re the lord of Basha City? I don’t think so. How could the lord of Basha City not bring his own people but instead bring a group of humans and elves? Speak quickly—are you spies who have sneaked into our dwarf tribe to cause trouble?” demanded the leading dwarf. “Komor, I think that man really is the lord of Basha City,” said one of the dwarf goat knights in a low voice. “Are you sure?” Komor glared at him. “I’m pretty sure. I’ve been to Grass several times and seen the lord of Basha City twice. On one occasion, I even met him up close with our chieftain. I think it’s very likely he really is the lord of Basha City,” the man replied softly to Komor. “Are you really the lord of Basha City? The son of the great Dwarf King?” Komor asked, glaring. “I am. If you don’t believe me, take us to see your chieftain. Chieftain Huhuhan will do. Your chieftain surely knows me,” Basha said with a smile. Hearing that one of their own confirmed that Basha was indeed the son of the Dwarf King and the lord of Grass City, Komor naturally didn’t dare neglect him. “Very well, follow me to see the chieftain,” Komor said. The dwarfs were quite simple-minded. Upon hearing that Basha was the lord of Grass City, they led him and his group into the Yifu tribe.
However, this was also related to the rule of the Dwarf King. Under the king’s god-like deterrence, few outsiders dared to cause trouble among the dwarves. As a result, for hundreds of years, there had been little disturbance from outsiders, and the dwarves had become much less wary of them.
Soon, the dwarf knight named Komor led Bashah and his group to a large stone house. “Chieftain, it’s Komor. Someone wants to see you,” Komor called out toward the inside of the stone house. “Who wants to see me at this early hour?” came an elderly voice from inside. “They say it’s the lord of Grass City, Lord Bashah. I’m not sure if it’s true or not, so I brought them here to show you in person,” Komor shouted. “Oh, is it really Lord Bashah?” asked the aged voice. “It’s me, respected Chieftain Huh Erhan!” Bashah called out. “By the sound of it, it really is Lord Bashah. You two, go open the door quickly,” said the aged voice. “Yes, Chieftain,” came two clear female voices.
Seeing this huge stone house and hearing those two clear female voices inside, Du Fan’s heart skipped a beat. It seemed that even among the dwarves, there were those who enjoyed pleasure. The wooden door of the stone house was opened. Two dwarf girls stood on either side. Looking at them, Du Fan’s eyes lit up—these girls clearly didn’t have the large heads, thick limbs, and disproportionate body ratios typical of most dwarf girls. These two dwarf beauties were actually very striking, like miniature human beauties with a hint of dwarf features, giving them a wildness rare among human women.
Watching these rare and beautiful dwarf women, Du Fan had an idea: he was a lolicon! These two dwarf girls were perfect targets for a lolicon! Of course, Du Fan kept this thought to himself. Apart from a barely noticeable glimmer on his face at first, he appeared completely normal.
Entering through the stone door, they found a spacious courtyard! Such luxurious houses were rare among the dwarves—right at the entrance was a large courtyard with flowers, plants, and trees. In a cage hanging from a tree, there were two green birds.
Just as the group entered the stone door, in the room across from them, two perfect targets for perverts emerged, supporting an old dwarf. The dwarf’s face was covered with layers of wrinkled skin, and he was dressed in a flashy silk robe typical of humans, giving him a rather peculiar appearance. “Oh, it’s Lord Basha, the son of the great Dwarf King!” the old dwarf exclaimed as soon as he saw Basha. The four beautiful dwarves were instantly captivated upon hearing that he was Lord Basha, the son of the Dwarf King! It must be said that Basha was the dream lover of many dwarf girls. Although many men saw him as a lucky man who rose to power thanks to his father, women had a completely different view. He was the lord of Glass City, the son of the Dwarf King, a powerful being of the sacred rank—and most importantly, he had just reached adulthood and was still unmarried! Basha appeared in the dreams of many dwarf girls.
