Chapter 017: Teasing
Naixiu felt flustered and once again showed that charming, stunning look.
“If you really can find my parents, I’ll consider marrying you,” Naixiu said with a hint of resignation.
“Haha. Don’t worry. For a beauty like you, I’ll definitely find my future in-laws,” Du Fan said shamelessly.
“Then, could you please leave for now?” Naixiu whispered.
“Hmm, aren’t we husband and wife now?” Du Fan said with a sanctimonious smile. “Do you elves like to send your husbands outside to sleep?”
“But I haven’t agreed yet!” Naixiu said, her face turning red.
“By the Goddess of Nature, in front of all the elves, you happily accepted our thousand-year love and then fell into my arms—how can you say you haven’t agreed?” Du Fan acted outrageously upset.
Heh, it seems this elf girl is quite cute, not much different from human girls, Du Fan thought with a secret smile.
“I didn’t faint from happiness; I was just nervous, that’s why I fainted,” Naixiu quickly explained after hearing Du Fan say she fell into his arms happily.
“But you really did fall into my arms with a flushed face! If not, why would those kind elves prepare our wedding room so quickly?” Du Fan said sadly.
“If that’s the case and you still refuse, how can I go on living? If you kick me out, what will those elves think of me? Being kicked out on our wedding night—how am I supposed to survive?” Du Fan grew increasingly sorrowful, pretending to be “innocently” on the verge of tears, looking utterly heartbroken. His sighs made it seem like he might commit suicide any moment.
He sneaked a glance at Naixiu. The elf girl seemed moved by Du Fan’s words, biting her lip tightly, visibly nervous. Seeing her like this, Du Fan couldn’t help but smile again.
Of course, it was just a smile in his mind; his face remained even more sorrowful. Slowly, he sat down at the table, burying his hands in his hair, looking extremely distressed.
Through his fingers, his eyes secretly watched Naixiu as he plotted in his mind.
Her hands were tightly clasped in front of her chest, and Naixiu suddenly took a small step forward. “There’s a chance!” Du Fan was secretly pleased to see her take such a small step.
Someone once said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Haha. Indeed, it works. I’ll just wait for that girl to come over and then grab her, haha. Du Fan thought in a despicable manner.
Just as she took a small step forward, Naixiu suddenly stepped back nervously, moving even further away from Du Fan.
“Hmm, not enough enthusiasm. It seems I need to intensify my efforts.” Seeing Naixiu step back through his fingers, Du Fan pondered silently.
“Father! Mother! Must I really spend my whole life alone? In my entire life, this is the first time I’ve asked for someone’s hand in front of tens of thousands of people, and I was so sincere and genuine. Yet that heartless woman refused me! It’s unjust! It’s utterly unjust!” Du Fan suddenly wailed.
Glancing secretly into Naixiu’s eyes, he noticed a hint of shyness as she heard his words.
“Um, Lord Du Fan, is this really your first time with me?” Naixiu asked seriously.
“Of course! Definitely! I can’t believe it—this is the first time I’ve given flowers or asked for someone’s love, and I’m rejected like this. Oh, Goddess of Nature, I don’t want to live anymore!” Du Fan cried out in despair.
It really is the first time, Du Fan thought. Although he had had relationships with Ringtone and Selina, oh, and also Xuelan… But giving Naixiu a token of eternal love in public like this, expressing his feelings openly—this was truly his first time.
Of course, Du Fan didn’t know that Chenchen had already silently devoted herself to him.
“If Chenchen knew I was openly confessing my love to a woman like this, I wonder if she’d be angry,” a strange thought crossed Du Fan’s mind.
“Well then, Lord Du Fan, I won’t ask you to leave. How about this: you sleep in the bed, and I’ll sleep on the chair,” Naixiu said, biting her lip.
“Letting my wife sleep on a chair while I sleep in the bed—if that gets out, I, Du Fan, will have even less face to show people. It’s better if you sleep in the bed and I sleep on the chair!” Seeing Naixiu change her mind, Du Fan immediately raised his head and said earnestly.
“Hmm, this man isn’t bad. He knows how to cherish women,” Naixiu thought to herself.
“Lord Du Fan, how could I accept that? After all, you’re our guest,” Naixiu said shyly.
“Hmm, that’s also a problem. Let me think about it.” Du Fan frowned in thought.
Du Fan stood up and paced around the room, looking deeply thoughtful.
“What if we do this?” Suddenly, he quietly approached Nai Xiu.
As a master at the pinnacle of his domain, Du Fan moved extremely fast. Before Nai Xiu could react, he gently wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her slightly toward him.
At Du Fan’s touch, Nai Xiu let out a delicate “moo,” bringing her ear close to his mouth. She heard a voice extremely gentle say, “Let’s sleep together.”
Being in such close contact with the opposite sex, Nai Xiu’s entire body went into a state of shock!
Even among the beauty-filled Elf Tribe, Nai Xiu was considered one of the most stunning beauties. But over the years, she had been driven by a firm determination to avenge her parents, so she had been diligently improving her skills and had never been involved in such matters between men and women.
Suddenly having Du Fan intervene like this caught her completely off guard—she had no preparation whatsoever, not even any experience.
To Du Fan, a veteran who had lived two lives and experienced countless things, Nai Xiu was like a pure lamb!
Hearing Du Fan’s words, Nai Xiu’s body tensed up instantly! Listening to his extremely gentle yet seemingly seductive voice, she felt as if she were floating on clouds! Her body tightened before softening again, and she gently rested her head on Du Fan’s shoulder.
“Heh, this girl has such a thin, flexible waist!” Thinking this, Du Fan’s hands became mischievous as he started touching her waist.
After just a few touches, Nai Xiu suddenly sprang away from his arms like a startled deer and ran quickly to a corner.
“How could you do that?” Nai Xiu still seemed unable to fully recover from that feeling. Her face was red, and her eyes were filled with tears.
“I… I don’t know either. When I saw you, I just felt like I wanted to be with you,” Du Fan stammered.
“But you can’t just suddenly touch me like that,” Nai Xiu said angrily.
“I didn’t! It was you who suddenly leaned on my shoulder. I just… ugh, how should I put it?” Du Fan suddenly seemed very embarrassed.
Naixiu thought for a moment and realized that it was indeed she who had leaned on Du Fan’s shoulder on her own. Of course, with no prior experience, Naixiu couldn’t remember whether it was Du Fan’s hand that first touched her waist or if she had leaned on his shoulder first. But could Naixiu claim that she had done it out of sudden nervousness, losing her head and instinctively leaning on him? Definitely not. “W-well, even if that’s the case, you still can’t touch me!” Naixiu couldn’t come up with a reason and could only say that. Seeing Naixiu look a bit flustered, Du Fan secretly chuckled. This expert in this field turned out to be such an innocent novice. It was hard to imagine how she had gotten through those over a hundred years—had no male elf ever pursued her? “I don’t know either. I just found it comfortable to touch, so I touched it a few more times,” Du Fan said with a smile, once again wearing that utterly pure expression. Looking at that expression of extreme purity, a strange thought suddenly crossed Naixiu’s mind: “Someone so pure surely can’t be that kind of person.” Naixiu completely forgot about Du Fan’s lecherous touch when he carried her to the Spring of Life. Finding this amusing, Du Fan decided it was no longer fun to tease her any further. He clapped his hands and said, “Dear Miss Naixiu, stop arguing with me. You’d better go back to bed.” With that, he walked straight to the chair, lay down, and closed his eyes. Before closing his eyes, he added, “Remember, in the eyes of those elves, we are now a married couple. It’s the will of the Goddess of Life—we must not go against it.” Seeing Du Fan seem asleep, Naixiu carefully ran to the edge of the bed, stared at him intently, and then slowly lay down on her side. She spent a long, uneasy night. To her surprise, Du Fan didn’t make any moves that night; he slept peacefully the whole time, and nothing happened. Naixiu also fell asleep, feeling both nervous and slightly hopeful. Early the next morning, Du Fan followed many elves to a large grassland. This time, Naixiu obediently followed Du Fan. After what had happened the previous day, in the eyes of those elves, she was now Du Fan’s wife—yes, his wife, by the will of the Goddess of Life. Who would dare defy that?
Amidst the ambiguous looks of the crowd and Nayixiu’s awkward expression, Du Fan gently took Nayixiu’s hand and led her among the elves. Strangely enough, Du Fan wore a look of great satisfaction and happiness, which made the elves wonder about what had happened between the two last night. What kind of experience could make this man look so content and happy? Amidst the envy of the male elves and the jealousy of the female elves, the two walked hand in hand toward the platform ahead. All eyes were on them! Of course, Nayixiu was very reluctant, but after Du Fan’s persuasion, she allowed him to hold her hand. Du Fan simply told her that if she didn’t do so, it would hurt his pride as a man, and that if she didn’t obey him, he would resort to trickery that night. After thinking it over, she realized that their union was meant by the Goddess of Nature, and that this man was fairly decent—nothing extreme had happened last night. Further reflection showed that he wasn’t bad after all; at least he had reached the peak of his domain’s strength and was a duke of the human race, governing a vast area. Perhaps it wouldn’t be bad to follow this man—at least there was a chance of finding her parents.
