Chapter 010: Gifts
Ferey could now be considered one of Du Fan’s men, so naturally, he had to show his loyalty. He stepped forward and slowly drew the knight’s sword from his waist. Immediately, the radiant combat energy around him flared up, giving him a formidable presence. Judging from the flames generated by his combat energy, Ferey seemed even stronger than Boris.
Boris remained calm on the surface, but he already wanted to retreat. Having gone through life and death along the way, he no longer had the determination to fight to the death he once had. Why would he stay and risk his life now? Yet, given the situation, he had to put on a brave front; otherwise, he might be swallowed up by Du Fan and the others.
Unexpectedly, Du Fan waved his hand slightly, signaling Ferey to step back. He then said in a low voice, “Enough… We don’t have time to play around with this unknown sir right now… There are still many things to do. As for this sir… how about you… commit suicide?”
Hearing Du Fan’s words, Boris wanted to sneer, but suddenly, it seemed as if a voice rang in his heart!
Yes! Why not commit suicide? At a time like this, what other option was there besides suicide?
Boris’s trembling hands slowly raised his long sword. As he continued to tremble, he turned the sword slowly until its tip pointed at his own throat. With a gentle thrust, a stream of blood sprayed out.
Du Fan didn’t even glance at him again. Instead, he looked at Ferey and said with a smirk, “Do you want to learn this skill?”
Ferey was stunned and couldn’t speak for a moment.
Du Fan glanced at him again and said, “Killing someone only takes one sentence. Compared to the sword skills you learned in the Holy Church, which is better?”
After thinking for a while, Ferey suddenly broke into a cold sweat. He still needed effort to kill someone, but this Du Fan not only was full of clever tactics but could also make someone commit suicide with just a sentence—what kind of skill was that?
Originally, Ferey might not have been truly loyal to Du Fan. He only pretended to show loyalty so that Du Fan would help their group of Temple Knights seek revenge. But now, in front of Du Fan, he felt a deep sense of powerlessness.
Facing this Du Fan, who could kill someone with just a word, what would happen if he had any ulterior motives?
Although Feray was intelligent, he wasn’t overly so. Now that he had made up his mind, no matter what happened from then on, he would follow this lord—into water or fire. Given this lord’s cunning and ruthlessness, the achievements he might achieve in the future were utterly unimaginable. As long as he flattered him well and remained loyal enough, the position of second only to this lord might well belong to him someday.
Thinking of this, Feray’s heart burned with ambition. The way he looked at Du Fan now carried an additional layer of intent.
Du Fan, of course, had no idea what Feray was thinking. But by using the “Word Spirit” he hadn’t used in ages in front of Feray, he had also intended to intimidate him.
This Feray wasn’t like other Temple Knights, whose minds were filled solely with faith and devotion. If no measures were taken, who knew if he might stab him in the back one day?
Ignoring Feray, Du Fan slowly walked over to the astonished Kris. After looking her up and down arrogantly, he smirked and said, “Miss Kris, what are you doing? Did you sleep too much and undress by yourself? Or are you planning to hold a naked party here? Or maybe you think I, Du Fan, am handsome enough to try to seduce you?”
Facing Du Fan’s mocking gaze, Kris felt dizzy and almost fainted. She glared at him but couldn’t say a word.
Du Fan smiled slightly and slowly reached his right hand toward Kris’s chest. Only when he could faintly feel the heat radiating from her full breasts did he stop. Sensing those intoxicating vibes, he laughed again and said, “What? Aren’t you afraid that I’ll just devour you like this, Miss Kris?”
This time, Kris’s expression finally changed. She struggled to move and after a moment said, “I never thought Lord Du Fan… would be like those shameless scoundrels, doing such despicable things… I, Kris… misjudged you… I didn’t really believe you’d do such a thing to Emily… but now…”
“But what about now?” Du Fan pushed his palm slightly forward, touching that sexy bulge. Kris’s body trembled for a moment before she couldn’t help but moan. “Actually… it doesn’t hurt to tell you. The reason Emily ended up in that situation was because of me. Even the widespread rumors afterward were my doing. But so what? What can you do to me? Even if you wanted to tear me to pieces, in the end, you’ll still end up in my hands.”
As he spoke, whether intentionally or not, Du Fan’s fingers twitched slightly, and he firmly grasped the small mound on Kris’s chest. Kris let out a cry and struggled again.
Du Fan smiled faintly and applied more pressure. Watching Kris’s panicked expression, he sneered, “Miss Kris, don’t blame me. If the people from Roland Academy want my life, then how can you possibly survive falling into my hands? I’m different from some others who value courtesy and knowing when to back down. But I? I always seek revenge for my enemies. So I’m sorry…”
At this point, Du Fan sighed softly. Facing Kris’s angry gaze, his right hand began to move slowly, while his left hand approached her body. He could clearly feel fine goosebumps appearing on her skin with each of his movements.
His moving right hand finally stopped on her chest. Seeing Kris’s utterly humiliated expression, Du Fan slowly raised his finger and tapped the bulge, smiling, “Miss Kris, do you know what I told Emily back then? I told her… ‘Scream! Scream! Even if you shout your lungs out, no one will pay attention to you!’ What do you think of that? Would you like me to say it to you again today?”
Kris’s delicate body trembled, and a faint moan escaped from the depths of her throat. She knew she couldn’t resist Du Fan, nor could she control her body. All she could do was press her lips together, trying to preserve the last shred of her dignity.
But Du Fan didn’t give her any chance at all. As he got closer, his left hand finally rested on Kris’s cheek, caressing her skin as smooth as cream. Du Fan sighed softly and said, “Such a beauty—no wonder that unknown gentleman earlier couldn’t care less about anything else and just wanted to violate you. If it were me in that situation, I’d probably think the same… What about you, Ferre?”
Ever since Du Fan began teasing Kris, Ferre had consciously closed his eyes. Hearing Du Fan’s question, he instinctively replied, “I… oh, no! No!”
Though he said that, he still sneaked a glance in Du Fan’s direction and saw that Du Fan was smiling at him, so he quickly turned his face away.
Du Fan smiled and said, “See, Miss Kris? Even a devout Temple Knight can have wicked thoughts in such a situation. As for others, it’s only natural they would too. This is the true nature of humanity—all piety, faith, purity, nobility… vanish in the face of death, leaving only bare, primal desires… So, you don’t need to feel disheartened about your companion. If anyone deserves blame, it’s your dear Aldas. If he hadn’t left you here alone, how would you have suffered such things?”
Kris gasped softly a few times before saying, “Du Fan… don’t think everyone is as shameless as you…”
Du Fan wasn’t angry, but his movements quickened slightly. Given Kris’s physical condition, how could she resist his advances? In less than a moment, she was gasping for breath.
Du Fan stopped what he was doing and shrugged, saying, “See… Miss Kris… Is it really me who’s shameless? Or is it your own licentious nature? Even if your heart refuses to accept me, it seems your body has already accepted me, doesn’t it?”
Kris gasped again and said hoarsely, “You’re shameless!”
Du Fan smiled and said, “If I were shameless, I would have stripped you naked long ago and done what needed to be done. It’s a pity I’m not that shameless yet. But if you’re interested, Miss Kris, it’s not impossible for me to suffer a little to have you… It depends on what you do… Maybe you could beg me… Then who knows, I might even satisfy your desires.”
Fear finally appeared in Kris’s eyes. At this moment, she was no longer a skilled warrior but a naive little girl.
Du Fan smiled faintly, his smile carrying an indescribable undertone. He slowly stood up, reached out to pat Kris’s cheek, and said, “Alright, baby… I’m not interested in your body for now… I just want to turn you into a gift for Aldas… If you cooperate well… maybe I’ll even spare you…”
As he spoke, Du Fan waved his hand gently, and a stream of combat energy shot out from his fingertips.
Kris felt dizzy. Before losing consciousness, she faintly saw Du Fan’s smile shining as brightly as spring flowers.
