Chapter 33: The Best Fighter of This Century, Section 4

The noble fleet sent to attack Death Star was completely annihilated before even seeing it.
This news was like a bomb exploding suddenly, causing a sensation throughout human society. It also dealt a severe blow to the newly established Supreme Court of Nobles.
The nobles were stunned by this news. They stood frozen in their castles, struggling to understand why such an outcome had occurred.
After all, it was two thousand warships—pure combat vessels, not including supply ships. How could they be wiped out without even seeing a trace of Death Star? Damn it! When had the Blood Wolves become so powerful!? If that was the case, wouldn’t this planet, located at the edge of human territory, be stronger than all the nobles combined? Considering their leader’s temperament, wouldn’t they face thunderous revenge?
For a time, almost all nobles were in a state of shock and deep regret. The Supreme Court of Nobles, hastily convened, now seemed like a joke. The superficial pretense of authority contrasted sharply with their inner corruption, becoming the topic of conversation among commoners.
On the other hand, Marshal Wick was overjoyed upon hearing this news. He immediately contacted Blackhair and began berating him, blaming him for causing such a huge problem and then leaving, leaving all the mess to him. He also developed great interest in that Brown Sea that had annihilated the noble fleet.
With numerous spies, Marshal Wick certainly knew what the so-called Brown Sea was. But he couldn’t believe that Blackhair could possess such a massive fleet. The sheer number of ships was enough to obscure the stars in the universe. When the fleet moved, it was more terrifying than an incoming flood.
Though simple in design, their numbers were enormous. In the intelligence video sent to him, Marshal Wick witnessed those ships attacking their enemies. Like ants, once they targeted something, at least five Arrow Ships would charge at once, ignoring the enemy’s firepower. Using their sharp bows, they would deliver fatal blows, tearing the enemy to pieces in an instant.

Of course, such attack methods are undoubtedly very primitive and would cause huge losses to the fleet. But then again, the number of those arrow ships is simply enormous—even Marshal Wick, who received the intelligence, still hasn’t figured out their exact count. Blackhair certainly wouldn’t tell him on his own. Yet he subtly implied that these nobles’ provocations had triggered a fierce reaction among the Blood Wolves. He hoped the old marshal would remain calm and neutral in the upcoming events. Though his tone was casual, Marshal Wick could easily sense the anger in Blackhair’s heart and wisely expressed his support. As expected, within the following month, Blackhair once again unleashed a storm of vengeance. This time, he didn’t use his terrifying Thunder God Fortress. Instead, leading with Stormwind, he launched a massive retaliatory campaign across the universe with his enormous fleet of arrow ships. All nobles involved in rebuilding the Supreme Court made it onto his list of targets. Unlike before, however, Blackhair showed no mercy this time. Each attack broke through the enemy’s defense fleet like a storm and then delivered a fatal blow to the capital planet through air drops. In the nobles’ territories, targeted eliminations were carried out. Those who chose to surrender were given a chance to live; otherwise, they were all exterminated. In less than three weeks, two nobles became Blackhair’s prey—their castles destroyed, their defense fleets annihilated. By the time Blackhair left, there was no longer any ruler left in those territories. This retaliation was undoubtedly cruel. According to rough estimates, just in those three weeks, tens of thousands of people became victims of Blackhair’s vengeance. The two nobles who were hit first were naturally not spared. Not only them but also their castles and territories were thoroughly searched by Blackhair. His swift and fierce actions immediately caused panic among all the nobles. Many rushed to Marshal Wick, abandoning their previous arrogance and adopting a pitiful demeanor. Some pleaded for the old marshal to uphold justice, while others asked for his intervention.

But these nobles forgot how they treated the Old Marshal and Blackhair just a month ago. They also forgot how they handed down an unfair trial to Blackhair through the Supreme Court. The Old Marshal looked at these gaunt noble lords and couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. Just a month ago, these people were still so full of pride. The reorganization of the Supreme Court made it seem as though they had returned to an era dominated by nobles. He could still vividly recall them arrogantly accusing the Old Marshal of spying. In just a month, how could they have changed so much?

The Old Marshal couldn’t help but smile bitterly. Yet he could only pretend to be powerless. After being harassed several times, he even closed the doors to his office, refusing any visits from nobles.

“It’s not that I won’t help you, but this time… it’s not just about revenge. You fools, how could you not see that?” Amidst the swirling smoke, the Old Marshal smiled bitterly as he gazed at the crystal before him, where countless oddly shaped arrow-shaped ships were fighting relentlessly.

The Old Marshal was right. In fact, Blackhair’s actions this time were indeed not just for revenge.

Who could blame him for bringing back a massive fleet? After all, the biggest lure for the Han people to follow Blackhair back was new territories. Blackhair was still worried about finding a target when the nobles came to him on their own. How could he refuse such a good opportunity?

The thunderous attacks were meant to prevent further trouble, while the direct air drops to execute leaders were intended to minimize civilian losses. After eliminating the key nobles, the remaining star systems became unclaimed territories, providing ample space for the Han people to develop.

Of course, these star systems weren’t left unwatched. At least their neighbors wouldn’t sit idly by while such a feast was available. Unfortunately, in the face of the Han people’s massive fleet, even the bravest would have to weigh their own strength.

The widespread revenge lasted for two full months. During this time, Blackhair led the Han fleet to conquer four star systems. Six nobles became his victims, and a vast amount of supplies filled the warehouses of the Death Star and the Twins. As his enemies, all the nobles lived in constant fear. Until they invited Duke Poseidon.

This high-ranking and powerful duke had clearly anticipated this day long ago. When several nobles came to see him, he was quietly waiting in the living room. After listening to their complaints, he wasn’t outraged as they expected but merely smiled slightly before sending them away. Just as the nobles felt desperate, Duke Poseidon summoned Blackhair alone. He said just one sentence: “That should be enough. Four star systems should be sufficient to support your goons.” “Mm, pretty much,” Blackhair replied honestly. On the video, he was comfortably lying in his large armchair, holding a glass of red wine that seemed never to run out. “You’ve come at just the right time, Duke Poseidon. After this incident, I believe those nobles will behave properly for a while, right?” “They should. Blackhair. Look at my memory—I still haven’t even welcomed you back. Well, I’m sure you’ve reaped quite a profit this time. Look at those shoddy fleets; I think the entire human race doesn’t have more of them.” “Hehe. That’s true,” Blackhair replied with a smile. “But compared to the Moors, they’re far inferior. So, Duke, will you give me some support?” “Oh? How so?” Duke Poseidon raised his eyebrows, showing a hint of surprise. His relationship with Blackhair was one born from conflict; in fact, their current relationship was very delicate, always on the verge of hostility. Each of them had their own backing. Logically, Blackhair shouldn’t make such a request. Couldn’t he see that he himself should also be considered a noble? What a strange guy, Duke Poseidon thought to himself. “Just a little material support, Duke Poseidon. You know, I really have no intention of targeting you nobles. It’s just that there are always some untimely fools testing my patience. With the Moors at our gates, I can’t stand their foolish behavior anymore. I think you agree with me on this. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have refused to join that so-called Supreme Court.” “Yes, go on,” Duke Poseidon nodded slightly, signaling Blackhair to continue. “My idea is to break this internal strife. I need a victory.” “A victory?” Duke Poseidon was stunned. “That’s right, an undisputed victory—different from that black hole incident.” Blackhair raised his eyebrows, a glint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

“I’m tired of being ambushed here all the time. Why can the Moors come and go as they please? This time, I’ll make them understand that even the weakest race can bite when provoked.”
“You mean!?” Duke Poseidon’s eyes lit up instantly.
“Give me some support, and I’ll give you a victory. What do you say?” The dark-haired man smiled and raised his glass. “In the name of humanity, not just my own Blood Wolves.”
“Deal!!”
